'''Five Nights at Candy's 2 ''' is a VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys fan game, mainly based on the [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys3 third]] and [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys4 fourth]] games in the franchise. Like the original VideoGame/FiveNightsAtCandys, it was made by Emil "Ace" Macko using the Clickfusion 2.5 engine -- the same engine that Five Nights at Freddy's was made on. It was released on the 28th of February 2016, although it was temporarily recalled due to bugs. If the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okF2TqmOOjM trailer]] intrigues you, you can find the game itself on the game's official Website/GameJolt page [[http://gamejolt.com/games/five-nights-at-candy-s-2-official/110234#video-26249 here]].

* AdultFear: The newspaper you see if you die is some very potent adult fear. It's a "Missing Girl" alert, stating that the player didn't show up to school the next day, and a search team is being assembled to try and find her. Imagine finding out your closest friend went missing and died all because of a stupid bet you made. It gets even worse if the player dies on Night 6. The player ''is'' found... What's left of her, at least. The result is described as looking like the aftermath of a bear attack.

* DarkerAndEdgier: Visually, the game is much less colorful than the first, and there aren't as many sounds as well. The story also gets significantly darker than it was in the first game, with AdultFear, misblamed murder, and even more implications of child murder.

There's a YMMV entry here.

* SequelDifficultyDrop: While the premise might seem daunting at first, the game is pretty easy once you know the drill. The game offers you plenty of time to screw up and without the power meter, you can beat the game even when it feels that everything is stacked up against you. Night 6 is undoubtedly still hard (the Rat is guaranteed to corrupt your camera screen at least once, since the timing window is half that of Penguin's, who is already short enough), but it's nowhere near the unbearably difficult Night 6 of the first game. And Night 7 and 8 here are more like a test of endurance, rather than the positively luck-based 7/20 Custom Night of the previous game.

* BigBad: On the grand scheme of things, RAT certainly qualifies as the Biggest Bad. [[spoiler:He masterminded the closure of Candy's and is responsible for a lot more murders before that. It is heavily implied that he, and not Purple Guy as previously assumed, was the one who kidnapped and killed the two children mentioned in the newspapers and shown in one of the first game's cutscenes.]]

* BrutalBonusLevel: Custom Night is replaced by a single 7/20 option, which has Normal and Nightmare levels. Normal (Night 7) has you spar with the five animatronics from Night 1-5, while Nightmare (Night 8) has you face [[spoiler:the Rat and the Cat]]. Completing these levels are required if you want to get the third and four stars, allowing you to access the final minigame.
* ButtMonkey: Chester. On top of not being liked in general, [[spoiler:he was mutilated by the Rat when he tried to enter the storage room in 1989. The management never bothered to fix him afterwards, as up to 1991, kids were still wondering where he went.]]
* CompositeCharacter: [[spoiler:In Night 6 and 8, the only animatronics attacking you are the Rat and the Cat. In addition to attacking you normally (like Candy, Cindy, and Blank do), the Rat doubles as Penguin by attempting to corrupt the camera, while the Cat doubles as Chester by trying to enter the main hall through the vents.]]
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: The fate of Marylin Schmidt if you die on the sixth night; she gets mauled by The the Rat [[spoiler:or The Cat]], with the end result being described as looking as if she were mauled by a bear.

* DebutQueue: Like the first game. Cindy is the only animatronic appearing in Night 1. Chester joins her in Night 2, followed by Candy (that's right, the titular character isn't even in the game until midway through) and Penguin in Night 3, and Blank in Night 5. [[spoiler:Everyone disappears in Night 6 and 8, replaced by the Rat and the Cat.]]
* DualBoss: [[spoiler:The Rat and the Cat are the only animatronics you face in Night 6 and 8.]]

** Also, [[spoiler: the game makes Shadow Candy an Expy of Shadow Freddy. Both lead animatronics to important places (the former to lead Old Candy towards the 1965 night guard, the latter to lead Freddy and his gang towards the Purple Guy) but otherwise have their origins unexplained (the creators later confirmed that Shadow Candy is the CAT's soul, though).]]
* GrandFinale: Is this on a chronological level. While the first game is a prequel, the third and final one precedes both, making this one the finale. [[spoiler:The game ends with the factory burning and collapsing, presumably taking all animatronics inside with it. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocbAfuNRQ1c Sound familar?]]]]
* HellIsThatNoise: The jumpscare sounds are much more haunting than the previous game's. Especially RAT [[spoiler:and CAT]].
* InterfaceScrew: Starting with Night 3, The Penguin will occasionally show up on your screen; unless you quickly switch to a different camera, he crashes it, forcing you to reboot it and giving the other animatronics more time to jump you. The Rat can do a similar thing on Night 6.

[[spoiler: In 1993, two separate fatal incidents happened in the restaurant and the factory. The most recent and CAT notable one was the murder of a pair of twins in 1987. If the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okF2TqmOOjM trailer]] intrigues you, you can find the game itself on the game's official Gamejolt page [[http://gamejolt.com/games/five-nights-at-candy-s-2-official/110234#video-26249 here]].

to:

* WhamEpisode: WeaksauceWeakness: The "calling phones to distract the animatronics" concept is clearly based on ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys3'', where you have to distract Springtrap by playing Balloon Boy soundbites throughout the rooms. However, this brings into question of why the animatronics don't simply ignore the calls when they are already standing right in front you, as this game allows you plenty of time to lure them away when it happens (in ''FNAF 3'', you're pretty much helpless when Springtrap is already standing near the office; you ''can'' lure him away, but the timing window is next to none).

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Old Candy is not one of the animatronics haunting you in the factory, so his whereabouts and ultimate fate aren't known (he's playable in two post-night minigames, but both take place when he's still in service).
