So, you lost another bet with your friends, didn't you? Well, you know what the price of losing is. To restore your reputation, all you gotta do is spend another five nights in this [[AbandonedWarehouse old abandoned factory]]. What's that? Wasn't that the factory where several kids died over the years, starting in 1964? Maybe. Look, do you want your reputation restored or not? [[HonorBeforeReason Good, that's what I thought.]]

Anyway, it's gonna be dark in that warehouse, so you're going to want to bring your phone so you can use its camera function to light up the hallway in front of you. After all, ''if'' (and that's a big if) something comes after you, you'll want to see it coming, right? And if (again, if) something does happen to start stalking you, you can startle it by using the old camera monitor to activate the phones, luring it away. Huh? What if the hypothetical thing that's stalking you brought backup to check the phone for it? Just activate a phone far away from the backup, dummy! It's not rocket science! Just, uh, try to keep in mind that you can't activate more than one phone at a time.

Also, I heard that they used to make animatronics for that restaurant chain called "Candy's Burgers and Fries" in that factory. Cool, huh? You might see some of the recalled or unfinished animatronics! Be sure to take pictures for us, okay? What do you mean, "what if they start moving?" That's crazy! Besides, there's nothing to worry about; it's not like the animatronics are gunning for you, and it's not like they've ever gone homicidal, [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtCandys right?]] Anyway, take it easy, bring some soda to help keep you alert, and good luck. Not that you'll need it, of course. Everything's gonna be fine.

'''''Five Nights at Candy's 2''''' is a ''Franchise/FiveNightsAtFreddys'' fan game, mainly based on the [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys3 third]] and [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys4 fourth]] games in the franchise. Like the original ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtCandys'', it was made by Emil "Ace" Macko using the Clickfusion 2.5 engine -- the same engine that ''Five Nights at Freddy's'' was made on. It was released on the 28th of February 2016, although it was temporarily recalled due to bugs. If the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okF2TqmOOjM trailer]] intrigues you, you can find the game itself on the game's official Website/GameJolt page [[http://gamejolt.com/games/five-nights-at-candy-s-2-official/110234#video-26249 here]].

A sequel to Five Nights at Candy's 2 was [[http://gamejolt.com/games/five-nights-at-candy-s-3-official/130420#close posted]] over on Game Jolt, simply labeled ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtCandys3''. WordOfGod says ''[=FNaC=] 3'' is the final installment of the ''Five Nights at Candy's'' saga, although [[https://www.reddit.com/r/fivenightsatfreddys/comments/9bxqnf/a_new_fnac_game_proper_announcement/ that's recently changed.]]

----

!! ''Five Nights at Candy's 2'' contains the following Tropes:

* TwentyMinutesIntoThePast:
** The minigames all take place at different points of the past, as can be seen on the calendar in the Office. Some details are even tweaked to show you the change of time: those set in 1965 and 1976 don't have computers, while everything set after 1989 have green chairs instead of red.
** [[spoiler:If the newspaper screens at the end of Nights 5 and 6 are to be believed, the game could take place in August 2007, almost twenty years after the first game.]]
* ArtifactTitle: You're not really at Candy's anymore (mini-games not included); rather, you're at the factory where the animatronics were built.
* BigBad: On the grand scheme of things, Rat certainly qualifies as the Biggest Bad. [[spoiler:He masterminded the closure of Candy's and is responsible for a lot more murders before that. It is heavily implied that he, and not Purple Guy as previously assumed, was the one who kidnapped and killed the two children mentioned in the newspapers and shown in one of the first game's cutscenes.]]
* BrutalBonusLevel: Custom Night is replaced by a single 7/20 option, which has Normal and Nightmare levels. Normal (Night 7) has you spar with the five animatronics from Night 1-5, while Nightmare (Night 8) has you face [[spoiler:the Rat and the Cat]]. Completing these levels are required if you want to get the third and four stars, allowing you to access the final minigame.
* ButtMonkey: Chester. On top of not being liked in general, [[spoiler:he was mutilated by the Rat when he tried to enter the storage room in 1989. The management never bothered to fix him afterwards, as up to 1991, kids were still wondering where he went.]]
* CompositeCharacter: [[spoiler:In Night 6 and 8, the only animatronics attacking you are the Rat and the Cat. In addition to attacking you normally (like Candy, Cindy, and Blank do), the Rat doubles as Penguin by attempting to corrupt the camera, while the Cat doubles as Chester by trying to enter the main hall through the vents.]]
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: The fate of Marylin Schmidt if you die on the sixth night; she gets mauled by the Rat [[spoiler:or The Cat]], with the end result being described as looking as if she were mauled by a bear.
* DarkerAndEdgier: Visually, the game is much less colorful than the first, and there aren't as many sounds as well. The story also gets significantly darker than it was in the first game, misblamed murder, and even more implications of child murder.
* DebutQueue: Like the first game. Cindy is the only animatronic appearing in Night 1. Chester joins her in Night 2, followed by Candy (that's right, the titular character isn't even in the game until midway through) and Penguin in Night 3, and Blank in Night 5. [[spoiler:Everyone disappears in Night 6 and 8, replaced by the Rat and the Cat.]]
* DualBoss: [[spoiler:The Rat and the Cat are the only animatronics you face in Night 6 and 8.]]
* EarnYourHappyEnding: [[spoiler:Candy's Burger and Fries finally closes for good and whatever animatronics left in their wake are destroyed when the factory burns down in a fire.]]
* EasterEgg:
** Similar to the [[WebVideo/{{Markiplier}} Markiplier animatronic]] from the first game, clicking on a certain blueprint on Camera 14 will cause a [[http://i.imgur.com/e3auvzH.png strange, female, chipmunk-like animatronic named Scribble Netty]] to appear. She doesn't go after you, and vanishes with a chuckle after a few seconds.
** On Camera 1, there's a poster of [[VideoGame/{{POPGOES}} Popgoes the Weasel's]] head on the floor. Clicking on it causes the signature part of the song to play.
* {{Expy}}:
** Keeping with the theme of the characters being Five Nights At Freddy's Expies, [[spoiler:the new character "The Cat" bears a few similarities to Fredbear -- not only is he a much older version of Candy, but he also once shared a restaurant with another animatronic, "The Rat", who in turn resembles Springtrap/Spring-Bonnie. His fur color also helps a bit, as it looks vaguely golden.]]
** Also, [[spoiler: the game makes Shadow Candy an Expy of Shadow Freddy. Both lead animatronics to important places (the former to lead Old Candy towards the 1965 night guard, the latter to lead Freddy and his gang towards the Purple Guy) but otherwise have their origins unexplained (the creator later confirmed that Shadow Candy is the Cat's soul, though).]]
* GrandFinale: Is this on a chronological level. While the first game precedes this, the third and final one precedes both, making this one the finale. [[spoiler:The game ends with the factory burning and collapsing, presumably taking all animatronics inside with it. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocbAfuNRQ1c Sound familar?]]]]
** However, with [[https://www.reddit.com/r/fivenightsatfreddys/comments/9bxqnf/a_new_fnac_game_proper_announcement/ Emil's announcement of a new game in the series in development,]] it seems like this might have changed.
* HellIsThatNoise: The jumpscare sounds are much more haunting than the previous game's. Especially the Rat [[spoiler:and the Cat]].
* HistoryRepeats: Candy's went under in 1993, the same year [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys1 Freddy's also shut down for good]]. The only difference: Freddy's managed to cover up their unsafe working conditions until they met their end. [[spoiler:The police found out about a night guard murder before Candy's could do the same.]]
* InterfaceScrew: Starting with Night 3, Penguin will occasionally show up on your screen; unless you quickly switch to a different camera, he crashes it, forcing you to reboot it and giving the other animatronics more time to jump you. The Rat can do a similar thing on Night 6.
* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: Candy's has been closed for fourteen years by the time the game takes place. This was after nearly thirty years of successfully preventing the authorities from finding out about the multiple children and night guard murders, unsafe working conditions, and numerous other incidents happening in the establishment.
* KillItWithFire: [[spoiler:After Night 6, the abandoned factory the protagonist spends the nights in burns to the ground, presumably taking the animatronics with it. While the fire was said to have been caused by either faulty wiring or overloaded heating equipment, it's likely that Marilyn Schmidt burned the place to the ground to take out all of the animatronics.]]
* LettingTheAirOutOfTheBand: [[spoiler:The ending of the final mini-game.]]
* LongRunner: [[spoiler:High-tech animatronics were first produced in the factory in 1962, but the factory itself was built in 1948, meaning it was 45 years old when Candy's went bankrupt in 1993, and 59 years old when the fire finally finished it off in 2007.]]
* MissingChild: The newspaper you see if you die. It's a "Missing Girl" alert, stating that the player didn't show up to school the next day, and a search team is being assembled to try and find her. Imagine finding out your closest friend went missing and died all because of a stupid bet you made. It gets even worse if the player dies on Night 6. The player ''is'' found... What's left of her, at least. The result is described as looking like the aftermath of a bear attack.
* NightmareFuelColoringBook: The kids' drawings you find in Blank's part of the Night 6 minigame are mostly alright...until you find one that shows [[AnimalisticAbomination Shadow Candy]] (complete with a sickening SlasherSmile) in it.
* NothingIsScarier:
** It's never shown what the animatronics do to you when they catch you, [[spoiler:but considering the fate of the night guard during the Night 5 post-night mini-game, it's pretty likely that they just murder you on the spot. In the Night 6 game over newspaper, however, it is confirmed that The Rat and The Cat kill you on the spot, with the end result being described as similar to a bear attack.]]
** A secret minigame can be triggered by clicking the fourth star on the title screen. [[spoiler:It shows the Rat before he was decommissioned, moving closer to a child, before he does... '''something'''; the mini-game cuts out before exactly what happened is shown.]]
* TheReveal:
** The Night 5 minigame reveals the reason of the factory's abandonment and the animatronics being decommissioned. [[spoiler: In 1993, two separate fatal incidents happened in the restaurant and the factory. While the one in the factory is unknown, we do know that a night guard of the restaurant was found murdered, presumably by the Rat. The Rat framed Candy for the deed, leading to the latter, and by extension his bandmates, being scrapped.]]
** [[spoiler:As shown in the Night 5 ending screen, there were six murders happening in the factory in the 45 years before it finally went under in 1993. The most recent and notable one was the murder of a pair of twins in 1987. Six is also the total of Candy's recognized animatronics by then (Candy, Cindy, Chester, Blank, Old Candy, and Penguin), so it is heavily implied that these six people went on to possess them (the mentioned twins in particular seemed to possess Candy and Cindy).]]
** [[spoiler:The Rat and the Cat had their very own restaurant, which may also be the original Candy's establishment. Due to...something the Rat did to a child, they were both discontinued.]]
* SamusIsAGirl: As shown by the game-over screen, you're playing as 17-year-old Marilyn Schmidt, presumably a relative of Mary Schmidt, the protagonist of the previous game, as well as Mike Schmidt, who was the protagonist of the first ''Five Nights at Freddy's''.
* SequelHook: [[spoiler:The "fourth star" minigame ends on one, showing the Rat do... something to a child, before a screen shows up saying "To be concluded" with a [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtCandys3 red 3]] below.]]
* ShoutOut:
** Penguin in this game has quite a few similarities to [[Franchise/TheSlenderManMythos The Slender Man]]. For starters, he wears a nice (albeit dusty) suit. And he also happens to have a white, EyelessFace with no beak. And then there's the fact that he shows up on the camera at random, stares at you, and if you look at him for too long, he'll screw with your equipment like last time.
** [[spoiler:The Rat and the new animatronic, the Cat, bare some eerie similarities to the Itchy & Scratchy robots from WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons. Think about it. They're a pair of animatronic robots based on a cat and rodent duo that were made to entertain people. Instead, they ended up [[AIIsACrapshoot killing people.]]]]
* StealthPun:
** [[spoiler:Night 6 consists solely of the Rat and the Cat. It's a game of cat and mouse!]]
** Whenever Penguin or the Rat successfully corrupts your screen, you're taken to the reboot screen of "Security and Surveillance System (TM)". That's right, they're '''sass'''ing you.
* TeensAreMonsters: Calling them evil might be stretch, but what kind of teenagers make a bet that would make the loser spend not one but ''five'' nights in an old factory with a shady past anyway?
* TurnOfTheMillennium: [[spoiler: Most of the games' events take place in August 2007, or twenty years after the original game.]] The minigames, however, take place at different points of the past.
* UselessWithoutCellphones: Having the phone system hijacked by the animatronics, particularly if they manage to corrupt your cellphone screen, is not good for your life. God bless you if it happens in later nights.
* WalkingSpoiler: [[spoiler:The Cat, an even older version of Candy that teams up with the Rat on Night 6 to kill the player.]]
* WeaksauceWeakness: The "calling phones to distract the animatronics" concept is clearly based on ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys3'', where you have to distract Springtrap by playing Balloon Boy soundbites throughout the rooms. However, this brings into question of why the animatronics don't simply ignore the calls when they are already standing right in front you, as this game allows you plenty of time to lure them away when it happens (in ''FNAF 3'', you're pretty much helpless when Springtrap is already standing near the office; you ''can'' lure him away, but the timing window is next to none).
* WhamEpisode:
** [[spoiler:The Night 5 minigame, which heavily implies that the Rat killed at least one night guard and got Candy framed for the incident, leading to the recall of the animatronics.]]
** Additionally, [[spoiler:Night Six, in which you find out about the existence of The Cat.]]
** Finally, [[spoiler:the fourth star minigame, which reveals that the Rat and the Cat had their own restaurant before Candy's, and that the Rat possibly killed a child.]]
* WhamShot:
** [[spoiler: Finding the murdered night guard in the Night 5 minigame. For added bonus, you start to hear [[EvilLaugh a deep, sinister laugh]] in the distance.]]
** [[spoiler: Then there's the secret 4-star minigame, which shows a restaurant with a layout different from Candy's. Going to the room to the left shows a party going on...with the Rat and the Cat as the main stars.]]
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Old Candy is not one of the animatronics haunting you in the factory, so his whereabouts and ultimate fate aren't known (he's playable in two post-night minigames, but both take place when he's still in service). A closer look at the second box present in the Night 2 minigame reveals that he was dismantled completely.
