Techno Dystopia covers this aspect better

* CyberPunk: Downplayed, but still prevalent as despite numerous innovations in technology such as the androids themselves, life has arguably gotten worse due to the shortages of jobs thanks to android labor. This causes numerous cases of abuse and discrimination towards them. It also doesn't help that due to shortages of resources, World War III is on the horizon.

* TechnoDystopia: downplayed but present. The unemployment rate in Detroit is a mind-boggling ''37%'' -- higher than that of The Great Depression, which maxed out at 25.6%. While it's AllThereInTheManual, various found documents indicate that androids have impacted almost all aspects of human life, with people debating (for instance) their participation in sports due to their "unnatural advantages." And automated technology brings its share of conundrums, with one magazine article in Todd's house describing [[TheNeedsOfTheMany the grim calculus]] programmed into self-driving cars.
