* BelatedHappyEnding: [[spoiler:{{Downplayed}}: the ending of the game doesn't exactly supersede the AmbiguousEnding of the [[VideoGame/DarkestDungeon first game]], but at least it does turn the DownerEnding into more of a BittersweetEnding in hindsight, confirming that while the Heroes may not have put a end to the Heart of Darkness, they did buy humanity at least some time to get ready to face him again]].

Game was updated to prevent Leper from contracting leprosy again.

** Leprosy is one of the random diseases a hero can contract from enemies; like any other disease, it is curable at field hospitals for a modest fee. Since you can't contract double leprosy, the Leper is immune from contracting this specific disease.

** Leprosy is one of the random diseases a hero can contract from enemies; like any other disease, it is curable at field hospitals for a modest fee. There is also the Leper hero returning from the first game, whose leprosy is incurable (and not listed on his character sheet). You can even combine these two facts and have your Leper ''contract leprosy''.

Save Scumming isn't an intended mechanic.

** The game is somewhat forgiving regarding its autosaves. If you were to accidentally go down the wrong path on the map but realize it quickly enough, or alternatively have terrible luck with relationship-boosting gear at the inn, you can safely exit the game and reload to spit you right back out at the fork in the road or the start of your stay in the inn, minimizing the instances wherein a bad misclick can cost you everything.

** Having the Runaway or Duelist inspect the Memories of a Dream Academic's Study (which is [[CallBack a painting of the Manor]] from ''VideoGame/DarkestDungeon'') will have them proclaim that it doesn't seem all that remarkable unlike all the other characters who will [[LaserGuidedAmnesia notice how it's distantly familiar]], referencing how both heroes are series newcomers introduced in this game and wouldn't have any experiences from the first game.
