The end result now is a TV Tropes whose users are no longer expecting to be taken seriously: most of the academically focused individuals have gone, unable to gain momentum with their falsehoods. @/{{MyssaRei}}, @/{{AnotherDuck}} and @/{{Chizumatic}}, for instance, are no longer likely to insert misinformation into topics like ''Hai-Furi'' or ''Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?'', both in the forums and wiki, and the likes of @/{{Ryan028}}, @/{{Diamite}}, @/{{Shlugo_the_great}}, @/{{Ruise}} and @/{{Hylarn}} hardly have any impact on anime discussions outside the safe space that is TV Tropes. Consequently, my work is done. There is little for me to handle now: so it's time to call it quits on my terms. I'm not too terribly worried about a second ban, as it is unlikely that anyone has the resources or dedication to turn TV Tropes back into a place for academic discourse again. I have now directly impacted the creation of a breezy, fun wiki and forum by, in effect, blocking out opportunity for egotistical anime fans to show off, and in doing so, have left this site in a much better condition than when I found it. I am not expecting @/{{FastEddie}} to thank me for this, but with the threat to the anime community under control, I am content to sit back and watch the sun rise over a grateful universe.

By this point, TV Tropes' anime community became a self-satisfied group that viewed dissent against their opinions as hostility. This article objectively, and insightfully, documents the history surrounding TV Tropes and its anime userbase in particular. When @/{{FastEddie}} discovered this article, I was given the "Google Ban", the most severe punishment for violating this site's rules. @/{{FastEddie}} purported it was for having barn stars on my profile page, but the reality was that he imagined my article to be a threat to the anime fans whom he would count on to restore TV Tropes' reputation. While it was not in my interest to bring up drama, the socially-inept anime fans perpetrated actions that negatively impacted anime discussions in other communities, and also conflicted with the parties that I work in the interest of. This made it important to continue efforts to disrupt and suppress their actions, lest their opinions became accepted as fact.

I've been here since 2010, and participated in the One-Week War, so-named for being a week-long effort to remove the ability of tropers such as @/{{Orihime}}, @/{{Luna87}} and @/{{OriginalHobbit}} to self-aggrandise about their physical and intellectual capabilities. After the One-Week War, Troper Tales were excised from the site, and numerous tropers, with no avenue of letting the world know of their supposed rage-quit this site. Having long made the site known for being host to people who could not even lie well enough, the removal of Troper Tales benefited TV Tropes greatly, but in the aftermath, pseudo-intellectuals with an interest in anime came in to replace them, flooding the site with personal analysis with no basis in fact. By this point, TV Tropes' anime community were largely a self-satisfied group that viewed dissent against their opinions as hostility. I subsequently passed the story to The Infinite Zenith, who [[https://infinitemirai.wordpress.com/2013/08/14/tvtropes-and-the-rise-of-pseudo-intellectualism/ subsequently published this article in August 2013]], exactly two years after the "One Week War" ended, to document a bit of history surrounding TV Tropes and its anime userbase in particular.

In the aftermath, @/{{FastEddie}} himself took it upon himself to Google Ban me. From the sounds of things, the article touched a nerve for being highly critical of the site's rather sensitive anime fans, especially those who feel that their personal interpretations count as analysis. However, unlike the other tropers, @/{{FastEddie}} lacked the technical knowledge to keep me out, and I determined to leave on my own terms. Over the next few years, I stuck in the shadows, disrupting analysis in both the forums and the wiki. Then-administrator @/{{FastEddie}} tolerated, and even encouraged these behaviours: people masquerading as knowing more than they did would give the impression that Tropers were educated, rational people eager for academic discussion, and in turn, this could salvage TV Tropes' damaged reputation, especially since a second "Google Incident" occurred not more than a few months later.

The importance of this work was such that it would be worth risking multiple bans over, so I immediately got to work, using a range of tools to avoid being tracked. An infrequent but highly effective contributor, my own presence on this site dates back to 2010, making me a bit of a veteran around these parts. As a result, I'm quite familiar with the mechanics of this site, both old and new. My interests are reflected in the work pages that I alone have created, outlined below. My aims here are to keep an eye on anime-related materials in the Wiki pages, which are often treated as fact. My reasoning is that, if people will treat Wiki pages with any degree of seriousness, they will at least be reading an objectively correct version consistent with [[https://infinitemirai.wordpress.com/ The Infinite Zenith's]] interpretations and conclusions.

The Infinite Zenith is a website whose presence has undoubtly contributed to the superior understanding and analysis of the anime topics within their scope of interest. Covering a wide variety of anime, from ''Gundam'' to ''Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu Ka?'', the site's author is renowned for presenting exceptional discussions and insights into anime, while at once offering well-reasoned counterarguments against ideas that impede or restrict discussions about anime, and one of my aims will be to project and defend perspectives that this blog offers.

other pursuits.

!!Mission Statement

Favouring the broad perspective over minutiae, the Infinite Zenith's approach to anime is preferable to what is known colloquially as "over-thinking" an anime. As I am in full alignment of this approach, my main goal here is to suppress Troper analysis, driving discussions (and fixations) away from philoshophy and technical realism in favour of narrative and strength of execution, as well as return attention on tangible, observable events in an anime. To this end, I will link to The Infinite Zenith where an appropriate article can strengthen examples, and remove links to sites deemed unhelpful or unmeritorious of traffic. Such sites include any blog I deem to be poorly written, draws a conclusion that is deleterious towards enjoyment of a show or else is in a non-English language.

Presently, there is an unfortunate trend in TV Tropes where folks imagine themselves to be engaged in academic discourse on virtue of picking apart technical or irrelevant details within an anime within a work page. In order to keep pages from misinforming and misdirecting other readers towards a perspective not consistent with The Infinite Zenith's, as well as creating the impression that this site's members, so-called "tropers", are somehow more intelligent than average, the following will be done to ensure pages remain informative rather than misleading:

* ''Remove analysis from work pages inconsistent with The Infinite Zenith's perspective'': Analysis does not belong in a work page, and only serve to mislead readers. These will be moved to analysis where appropriate or outright removed.
* ''Add and improve content on work pages that is objectively present'': Observations within an anime are acceptable and encouraged. If something can be easily found in an episode or film, it will be retained, although I may touch up the grammar to ensure the page has a consistent tone.
* ''Maintain and curate pages to ensure they are of a high written standard'': TV Tropes' writers seem to have unique idiosyncrasies in their writing, whether it be excessive use of pot-holes, zero content examples or unnecessary emphasis. Examples will be re-written to be more consistent in tone with the style found at The Infinite Zenith as required.
* ''Remove extraneous technical detail from pages if they impede with clarity'': Entries presenting excessive technical detail, especially "Artistic License" tropes, might be moved to trivia or more likely, removed. The anime community here is unqualified to deal with biology, physics, chemistry, computer science, engineering or military history; articles should not give the impression otherwise.

These are the pages that I have created and are presently curating. I will be keeping a very close eyes on these pages here to ensure that they are clear, concise and informative. Anyone asserting to be these pages' creators are being untruthful.

An infrequent but highly effective contributor, with the goal of eliminating the impression that other tropers are qualified in biology, physics, chemistry, computer science, engineering or military history in work pages. They're not.

->''"Victory costs. Every time, you pay a little more"''
-->-- Prophet, '''Crysis 3'''

----
!!Mission Statement

Favouring the broad perspective over minutiae, the Infinite Zenith's approach to anime is preferable to what is known colloquially as "over-thinking" an anime. As I am in full alignment of this approach, my main
goal here is to suppress Troper analysis, driving discussions (and fixations) away from philoshophy and technical realism in favour of eliminating narrative and strength of execution, as well as return attention on tangible, observable events in an anime.

In order to keep pages from misinforming and misdirecting other readers towards a perspective not consistent with The Infinite Zenith's, as well as creating
the impression that other tropers this site's members, so-called "tropers", are qualified somehow more intelligent than average, the following will be done to ensure pages remain informative rather than misleading:

* ''Remove analysis from work pages inconsistent with The Infinite Zenith's perspective'': Analysis does not belong
in a work page, and only serve to mislead readers.
The anime community here is unqualified to deal with
biology, physics, chemistry, computer science, engineering or military history; articles should not give the impression otherwise.

!! History

I subsequently passed the story to The Infinite Zenith, who [[https://infinitemirai.wordpress.com/2013/08/14/tvtropes-and-the-rise-of-pseudo-intellectualism/ subsequently published this article in August 2013]], exactly two years after the "One Week War" ended, to document a bit of
history surrounding TV Tropes and its anime userbase in work pages. They're not.
particular.

In the aftermath, I took a leave of absence from TV Tropes to pursue other interests, but that did not stop word of another user from personally being Google-banned by the former Grand High Administrator Person, Fast Eddie, from reaching my ears. From the sounds of things, the article touched a nerve for being highly critical of the site's rather sensitive anime fans. Since then, the site has found seen new administrators take the reins, and while most of the drama seems behind us, there remains the task of keeping an eye on anime fans who feel that their personal interpretations count as analysis. So, for folks with psuedo-academic agendas, be warned: I'm here...and I'm close.

* ''Remove extraneous technical detail from pages if they impede with clarity'': Entries presenting excessive technical detail, especially "Artistic License" tropes, might be moved to trivia or more likely, removed. The anime community here is unqualified to deal with
biology, physics, chemistry, computer science, engineering or military history; articles should not give the impression otherwise.

!! History

I subsequently passed the story to The Infinite Zenith, who [[https://infinitemirai.wordpress.com/2013/08/14/tvtropes-and-the-rise-of-pseudo-intellectualism/ subsequently published this article in August 2013]], exactly two years after the "One Week War" ended, to document a bit of
history surrounding TV Tropes and its anime userbase in particular.

Presently, there is an unfortunate trend in TV Tropes where folks imagine themselves to be engaged in academic discourse on virtue of picking apart technical or irrelevant details within an anime within a work page. In order to keep pages from misinforming and misdirecting other readers towards a perspective not consistent with The Infinite Zenith's, the following will be done to ensure pages remain informative rather than misleading:

In order to keep pages from misinforming and misdirecting other readers towards a perspective not consistent with The Infinite Zenith's, as well as creating the impression that this site's members, so-called "tropers", are somehow more intelligent than average, the following will be done to ensure pages remain informative rather than misleading:

[[caption-width-right:150:''What are you prepared to sacrifice?'']]
->''"Victory costs. Every time, you pay a little more"''
-->-- Prophet, '''Crysis 3'''

'''Mission Statement'''

Because there is an unfortunate trend in TV Tropes where folks imagine themselves to be engaged in academic discourse on virtue of picking apart technical or irrelevant details within an anime within a work page. In order to keep pages from misinforming and misdirecting other readers towards a perspective not consistent with The Infinite Zenith's, the following will be done to ensure pages remain informative rather than misleading:

* ''Remove analysis from work pages inconsistent with The Infinite Zenith's perspective'': Analysis does not belong in a work page, and only serve to mislead readers. These will be moved to analysis where appropriate or outright removed. Entries presenting excessive technical detail, especially "Artistic License" tropes, will be moved to trivia or similarly removed.
* ''Add and improve content on work pages that is objectively present'': Observations within an anime are acceptable and encouraged. If something can be easily found in an episode or film, it will be retained, although I may touch up the grammar to ensure the page has a consistent tone.
* ''Maintain and curate pages to ensure they are of a high written standard'': TV Tropes' writers seem to have unique idosyncrasies in their writing, whether it be excessive use of pot-holes, zero content examples or unnecessary emphasis. Examples will be re-written to be more consistent in tone with the style found at The Infinite Zenith as required.
