"Know what Alice is, boy? She’s my gift to the County […]‘She’s my special gift to the Pendle clans, One day she’ll unite ’em once and for all, and then the world had better watch out!’"

She might sounds like a WellIntentionedExtremist but it's likely more about uniting the witches against the rest of the world. Anyway it's not compelling considering how she repeatedly put Alice in harm's way and no longer cares by the time she directly tries to kill her.

The fact that she went in great ways to free her grandmother Mother Malkin and attempts to avenge her later could invoke an EvenEvilHasLovedOnes but there's little evidence beyond that. I paid attention and even thought in the first book, Lizzie is irrate after Tom killed Mother Malkin, she doesn't seems to be sad at all. in fact she never mentions her, not even ''once''. Before trapping Tom in the pit, the only things she says to him are sadistic taunts. The quote from the book:

"Well, boy,’ she said. ‘How does it feel to know that you’ll never see the light of day again?"

Ditto for the ''Spook's Nightmare'' where she never mentions Mother Malkin and makes clear that she hates Tom nd his master for pitting her.

She's clearly found of her brain gruzzler Old Spig but given how she react after Alice kills it, I don't think it counts as a redeeming quality.
As for her uncle Tusk, she treats him like a servant.

Most creatures Tom meet are either AlwaysChaoticEvil entities (daemons, evil spirits,...) or feral beasts. While most witches are evil, they're human and have moral agency. The Spook classes witches into four categories: The Benign, The Malevolent, The Unaware
and the Falsely Accused. MagicIsEvil is played straight, the Spook has nothing but hatred for it and berates Alice every time she uses it even for good purpose like creating the blood jar that keep away the Fiend. The series has several token "good" witches (or not entirely evil): Alice, Adriana the bird witch, Agnès the benevolent witch, Grimalkin [[AntiVillain the ruthless killer who wants to avenge her son killed by the Fiend (their son to be precise...)]]... Lizzie is also an EvilCounterpart to Tom's mother who's [[spoiler: the mythological Lamia driven insane by Hera and preyed on children but redeemed herself]] while Lizzie has no redemption arc.

Still I don't see him as a CM since Lizzie has a much larger body count with the same level of ressource and he dies halway the story. I seriously considered Mother Malkin but in the story she just ties to kill Tom and later as a ghost, tries to kill his entire familly including his baby niece but I think it's standard villainy. The story about pregnant woman murdered is backtory and OffscreenVillainy. Lizzie overshadows her by what we actually see. The other evil witches fail the moral standard: We have Mistress Wurmald who abduct Tom's brother, his sister in law and his baby niece. There's also Scarabek who wants to kill Tom to avenge [[EvenEvilHasLovedOnes her twin sister (even if Tom wasn't responsible) and has a monstruous Husband and son]].

Spooks, all seventh sons of a seventh son, fight evil creatures. They are later joined by Alice Dean, a girl who was trained as witch by her aunt Bony Lizzie. The series got a loose and crappy adaptation ''[[Film/SeventhSon2015 Seventh Son]]''. Among the numerous changes, Lizzie was turned into a loving mother who dies trying to protect Alice but [[AdaptationalHeroism the character in the source material is waaaaayyyy worse]].

Bony Lizzie is a bone witch, a witch using bones for her magic, mainly thumb bones. She has a taste for blood which she acquires from [[WouldHurtAChild young childen]]. She's from the Malkin Clan, one the the three Pendle clans (the other three are the Deanes and the Mouldheel's). She's the grandaughter of another infamous witch Mother Malkin. "Mother" Malkin is named this way because. Finally Lizzie is the aunt of Alice Deane, herself the daughter a Malkin mother (presumably Lizzie's sister) and a Deane Father,

She's clearly found of her monstruos pet Ols Spig but given how she react after Alice kills it, I don't think it counts as a redeeming quality.
Her relationship with her uncle Tusk isn't elaborated but she treats him like a servant.

Early on ''The Spook's Nightmare'', Lizzie reveals to Tom that she considers her conception of Alice with the Fiend as her "gift to the County". She believes Alice is destined to reunites the clans of Pendle and ends their rivalry. It's the reason why she wants to teunite with her. She might sounds like a WellIntentionedExtremist but it's likely more about reuniting the witches against the rest of the world. Anyway it's not compelling considering how she repeatedly put Alice in harm's way and no longer care by the time she actually tries to kill her.
