Hello everyone! I am Magnus Force, a student by day and troper by night. I like science (particularly zoology), history, mythology, geography, writing, creatures (living animals, monsters, aliens, prehistoric life, robots, mythical creatures, speculative lifeforms, etc.), fantasy and sci-fi, worldbuilding, comics and animated cartoons, Tokusatsu, video games (mainly puzzles and platformers), jokes (especially puns), and creating ideas for works of fiction. I was born in Hong Kong but I've lived in Canada since I was 7.

FUN FACT: This actually isn't my first TV Tropes account. I had two previous ones way back in the late 2000s before the site got revamped when accounts required cookies, but both times I lost the cookies and thus the accounts.

Below is a LongList of works with TV Tropes pages that I have notably obsessed over at some point through the years. Be warned however that I'm a grade-A nerd with a broad range of tastes (although I don't usually mix my obsessions and tend to focus on one thing at a time) - in fact, I'm so much of a geek that Series/DoctorWho and Franchise/StarTrek are the two series that I most really want to get into some day, but have never gotten the opportunity to get much exposure to them.

* Manga/AzumangaDaioh (Such a great slice-of-life comedy series; it's hilarious, relatable, and adorable all at once, and I love the characters and its down-to-earth tone)
* Manga/FullMetalAlchemist (My favourite manga/anime series, with its well-constructed plot, fantastic characters, great action and emotion, and awesome music)
* Manga/InuYasha (It was the first manga I really got into, and I love youkai-centric stories; it also reminds me of my favourite classic novel/ancient myth, Literature/JourneyToTheWest)
* Anime/SSSSGridman (I've never seen the original Gridman - planning to someday! - but this series was very enjoyable for me for its animation, story, fight scenes, characters, and kaiju designs)

* ComicStrip/TheFarSide (I enjoy the comic strip medium in general, but this is without a doubt my all-time favourite newspaper comic; I just love its weird sense of humour, as well as its underlying themes)
* ComicBook/TheGoon (I was a big fan of this comic book series as a teenager; I like its over-the-top dark humor, unique pulp style, horror-inspired aesthetic, and interesting characters)
* ComicStrip/SpyVsSpy (I don't really like MAD Magazine to be honest, but I love its Spy vs Spy comics, with their hilarious punchlines and creative schemes)
* ComicBook/Tintin and ComicBook/Asterix (I loved these Franco-Belgian comics as a kid and still find them to be very enjoyable with the former's adventures and the latter's humorous take on ancient history)

* WesternAnimation/CaptainUnderpantsTheFirstEpicMovie (I loved the books as a kid, and the film - and animated series - does a wonderful job of capturing the spirit of the books and everything that made them so great)
* WesternAnimation/CatsDontDance (This is a very underrated animated film in my opinion; I love its story, setting, characters, animation, and musical numbers)
* WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon and its sequels (I love the stories, the characters, and all the different dragons featured; also has one of my favourite animated pairings ever)
* WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda and its sequels (I love the stories, characters, comedy, and fight scenes)
* WesternAnimation/MonstersInc and its sequel (These are my second favourite Pixar movies after the Toy Story films; I just love works that depict monsters as scary but not evil)
* WesternAnimation/TheNightmareBeforeChristmas (This is my all-time favourite animated film; I love its animation, musicals, creepy aesthetic, and the fact that it is about my two favourite holidays)
* WesternAnimation/Rango (I find this movie to be incredibly underrated, for its uniquely gritty aesthetic, more adult tone, and how it homages and parodies Westerns)
* WesternAnimation/ToyStory and its sequels (I love Pixar movies in general, but this film series is easily my favourite for its storytelling and landmark status in animation)
* WesternAnimation/TreasurePlanet (While I like many Disney films, this to me is the most underrated Disney movie; I LOVE the aesthetic and visuals of the setting, the characters, and the story)

* Franchise/Godzilla (I love Japanese giant monsters, so naturally, I love the granddaddy of them all, as well as the rest of Toho's giant monster menagerie)
* Film/PacificRim (Of course, a fan of Japanese giant monster movies and TV shows like me would love Guillermo Del Toro's love letter to the genre!)
* Creator/RayHarryhausen's movies, especially Film/ClashOfTheTitans1981, Film/MysteriousIsland, Film/JasonAndTheArgonauts, Film/The7thVoyageOfSinbad, and Film/TheGoldenVoyageOfSinbad (I deeply admire Harryhausen's special effects and love the sense of fantasy and adventure in his films; to me, the stop-motion monsters of old movies are the all-time best special effects ever made for cinema)
* Franchise/StarWars (I love all of the movies, and I absolutely adore its alien and robot designs, as well as its expansive setting; these are the greatest films ever in my opinion)
* Film/TheThreeStooges (I have a soft spot for old movies, especially Hollywood's comedy shorts; these guys are just some of the best in a genre full of legends)

* Toys/Bionicle (I was OBSESSED with this Lego line as a kid, collecting the toys and reading the novels; they've just made such a fascinating world and story)
* Literature/Dinotopia (As an enthusiast of prehistoric life, I adored this series as a kid and still do; its art is just beautiful too)
* Literature/GuardiansOfGahoole (This was my favorite book series in middle school; I just really liked the setting, characters, and story)
* Literature/HarryPotter (I fully admit to having an obsession with these books and the films during my high school years, but what can I say? They're beloved as they are worldwide for a reason!)
* Literature/Leviathan (This was one of my favorite book series as a teenager; I really enjoyed the steampunk and biopunk(?) aesthetics of the series)
* Literature/PercyJacksonAndTheOlympians (I really liked these books back when I was in middle school, with their humor, great usage of mythology, and great characters and story; unfortunately, I'm not terribly familiar with the series' sequels themed on other mythologies)
* Literature/TheSpiderwickChronicles (I was a huge fan of this series back in middle school; As an enthusiast of legendary creatures, I was really enamored by a lot of its ideas as a kid, especially regarding fairy lore)

* Series/MysteryScienceTheater3000 (I like series that affectionately make fun of low-quality speculative fiction movies, and this show is the golden example; I also love its humour, characters, and theme song)
* Many educational[=/=]edutainment shows, including many science, nature, and history shows from places like Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, PBS, History Channel, BBC, National Geographic, Smithsonian Channel, etc. (I honestly enjoy watching these kinds of shows more than the dramas and comedies most people prefer; I also subscribe to most of them on Youtube)
* Franchise/SuperSentai (I find this franchise's many series to all be a ton of fun to watch, with their general lightheartedness and crazy action scenes; not really into Power Rangers though)
* Franchise/UltraSeries (I have loved virtually everything about this franchise for as long as I can remember, and it combines everything I love about both Godzilla and Super Sentai; Creator/EijiTsuburaya is a man whose work I deeply admire)

* TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons and TabletopGame/Pathfinder (I love fantasy, worldbuilding, and good storytelling, and these are the perfect games for it)
* TabletopGame/Numenera (I just love the science-fantasy aesthetic of this game, and I cannot get enough of its art, especially the designs of its creatures)

* VideoGame/Bastion (This RPG is simply fantastic and excellently made from its graphics to its narration to its combat to its storyline to its level design)
* VideoGame/CthulhuSavesTheWorld (I do have a fondness for Lovecratian horror and RPG games, and the tongue-in-cheek tone of this game is immensely entertaining)
* VideoGame/Dota2 (I don't play this game much anymore for various reasons, but I did have a lot of fun trying out all the heroes in bot matches; plus the massive and diverse roster of characters is pretty cool)
* VideoGame/PlantsVsZombies (I tend to get back into this game sporadically, but it's always a ton of fun and incredibly addicting for me)
* Franchise/Pokemon (It's weird; I've never played a single Pokemon game, but I've loved the franchise ever since I was a kid, and I like its creature designs)
* VideoGame/Portal (This is a classic puzzle game and just a ton of fun, from its sarcastic humour to its sequel's storyline)
* VideoGame/RisingDusk (I like Youkai, I like puzzles, and I like platformers; yhis game has all of it, along with some great music, awesome graphics, and creative gameplay)
* Videogame/Scribblenauts (I just love this game's creativity, visuals, and relaxing gameplay; it's a perfect way to kill time and have fun)
* VideoGame/StarcraftI (I'm not super-crazy about RTS games, but I find this one to be one of the finest constructed entries in the genre)
* VideoGame/TeamFortress2 (I love the insanity and hilarity of this game, its characters, and the comics - and I'm not even a huge FPS fan!)

* WebVideo/EpicRapBattlesOfHistory (Every episode is just so cleverly written and brilliantly crafted; it's easily my all-time favourite Youtube series)
* WebVideo/GeographyNow (Definitely one of the best edutainment series on Youtube; every episode is well-crafted and well-researched, with a great cast)
* WebAnimation/OverlySarcasticProductions (As someone interested in history and mythology, I find their work to be immensely enlightening and entertaining - as all good edutainment is)
* WebVideo/TierZoo (I love edutainment media, and this is easily one of my favourite web examples for the way it combines video games with zoology)

* Many Canadian cartoons, notably WesternAnimation/JimmyTwoShoes (first season only), WesternAnimation/RubyGloom, WesternAnimation/Spliced, all of Creator/FreshTV's animated series, WesternAnimation/Wishfart, WesternAnimation/Fangbone, WesternAnimation/AtomicPuppet, WesternAnimation/OlliesPack and WesternAnimation/CupcakeAndDinoGeneralServices, WesternAnimation/ChopChopNinja, and WesternAnimation/Detentionaire (I've never found Canadian cartoons in general to be as bad as their haters say, and there are a lot of series I can think of that deserve more appreciation or attention)
* Many Creator/CartoonNetwork original series, notably WesternAnimation/FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends, WesternAnimation/TheGrimAdventuresOfBillyAndMandy, WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls (1996 version), WesternAnimation/Chowder, WesternAnimation/CampLazlo, WesternAnimation/SamuraiJack, WesternAnimation/TheSecretSaturdays, WesternAnimation/RegularShow, WesternAnimation/EdEddNEddy, and WesternAnimation/TheAmazingWorldOfGumball (I loved many of CN's original series as a kid and still do love Cartoon Network to this day; even if they've had their ups and downs)
* Many Creator/DisneyChannel and Creator/DisneyXD cartoons, notably WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb, WesternAnimation/MiloMurphysLaw, WesternAnimation/GravityFalls, WesternAnimation/StarVsTheForcesOfEvil, WesternAnimation/WanderOverYonder, WesternAnimation/BigCityGreens, WesternAnimation/RandyCunninghamNinthGradeNinja, WesternAnimation/Amphibia, and WesternAnimation/TheOwlHouse (There's a lot of great animated series from Disney, and while I got into Disney's animated series later, many have blown me away)
* FOX's big animated series: WesternAnimation/Futurama (my personal all-time favourite cartoon and all-time favourite TV show ever!), WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons (first 12 or so seasons), WesternAnimation/BobsBurgers, WesternAnimation/KingOfTheHill, WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy (first 6 or so seasons), and WesternAnimation/AmericanDad (While these series have had their ups and downs, I find them to all be true classics in the often-ignored realm of adult animation)

FUN FACT: I like science (particularly zoology and natural history), history, mythology, geography, creative writing, creatures (living animals, monsters, aliens, prehistoric life, robots, mythical creatures, speculative lifeforms, etc.), fantasy and sci-fi, worldbuilding, comics and graphic novels, animated cartoons (mainly Canadian and American), Kaiju and Tokusatsu, video games (mainly puzzles and platformers), jokes (especially puns), roleplaying games, old movies, educational[=/=]edutainment works, and creating ideas for works of fiction.

Most of my work on TV Tropes these days focuses on Canadian animated TV shows, a medium full of underrated series and hidden gems that I've only recently started to gain more appreciation for (to the point where I've now largely lost interest in American cartoons). I've entry pimped and expanded on entries for many Canadian cartoons and the relevant pages, created pages for many Canadian creators (particularly voice actors), and added references to Canadian cartoons in a lot of places (nearly all the Canadian shows with a Canadian cast in the JustForFun/RoleAssociation page for RoleAssociation/WesternAnimation were added by me). I also made pages for the following series:

* WesternAnimation/OneThousandAndOneNights2011
* WesternAnimation/TheAdventuresOfChuckAndFriends (technically this is a revival; the old page was cut)
* WesternAnimation/BestEd
* WesternAnimation/ChopChopNinja and WesternAnimation/ChopChopNinjaChallenge
* WesternAnimation/Cracked2016
* WesternAnimation/TheDumbBunnies (its AnimatedAdaptation, although it shares a page with the books, which are American)
* WesternAnimation/Fangbone
* WesternAnimation/Freaktown
* WesternAnimation/Funpak
* WesternAnimation/GeniusGenie
* WesternAnimation/MyGoldfishIsEvil
* WesternAnimation/PirateExpress
* WesternAnimation/PiratesAdventuresInArt
* WesternAnimation/Powerbirds (also a revival, as the old page was cut)
* WesternAnimation/TheTofus
* WesternAnimation/UrbanVermin
* WesternAnimation/WhatItsLikeBeingAlone
* WesternAnimation/Wishfart (actually a revival, as the old page was cut)
* WesternAnimation/Zafari

FUN FACT:
This actually isn't my first TV Tropes account.

* Creator/RayHarryhausen's movies, especially Film/ClashOfTheTitans1981, Film/MysteriousIsland, Film/JasonAndTheArgonauts, Film/The7thVoyageOfSinbad, and Film/TheGoldenVoyageOfSinbad (I deeply admire Harryhausen's special effects and love the sense of fantasy and adventure in his films. To me, the stop-motion monsters of old movies are the all-tme best special effects ever made for cinema)

* Anime/SSSSGridman (I've never seen the original Gridman but this series was very enjoyable for me for its animation, story, fight scenes, characters, and kaiju designs)
* Franchise/StarWars (I love all of the movies, and I absolutely adore its alien and robot designs, as well as its expansive setting; these are the greatest films ever in my opinion)
* VideoGame/StarcraftI (I'm not super-crazy about RTS games, but I find this one to be one of the finest constructed entries in the genre)
* Franchise/SuperSentai (I find this franchise's many series to all be a ton of fun to watch, with their general lightheartedness and crazy action scenes)
* VideoGame/TeamFortress2 (I love the insanity and hilarity of this game, its characters, and the comics - and I'm not even a huge FPS fan!)
* Film/TheThreeStooges (I love retro and old-timey things, especially old Hollywood comedy shorts; these guys are just some of the best in a genre full of legends)
* WebVideo/TierZoo (I love edutainment media, and this is easily one of my favourite web examples for the way it combines video games with zoology)
* ComicBook/Tintin and ComicBook/Asterix (I loved these Franco-Belgian comics as a kid and still find them to be very enjoyable with the former's adventures and the latter's humorous take on ancient history)

Hello everyone! I am Magnus Force, a lazy student by day and a nerdy troper by night. I like learning interesting facts (especially about science, history, mythology, and geography), writing, creatures (living animals, monsters, aliens, prehistoric life, robots, etc.), fantasy and sci-fi, worldbuilding, cartoons and comics, Tokusatsu, video games (mainly puzzles and platformers), jokes (especially puns), and creating ideas for works of fiction. I was born in Hong Kong but I've lived in Canada since I was 7.

Below is a list of works with TV Tropes pages that I have notably obsessed over at some point through my years as a geek.

Manga/FullMetalAlchemist (My favourite manga/anime series, with its well-constructed plot, fantastic characters, great action and emotion, and awesome music)
* Franchise/Godzilla
Franchise/Godzilla (I love Japanese giant monsters, so naturally, I love the granddaddy of them all, as well as the rest of Toho's giant monster menagerie)
* WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon and its sequels
sequels (I love the stories, characters, and different dragons)
* Manga/InuYasha
Manga/InuYasha (It was the first manga I read in full, and I love youkai-centric stories; it also reminds me of my favourite classic novel Literature/JourneyToTheWest)
* WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes
WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes (I like cartoons, so of course, I love the undisputed greatest cartoons ever; they are the gold standard for all pure comedy cartoons)
* Series/MysteryScienceTheater3000
Series/MysteryScienceTheater3000 (I like to make fun of low-quality speculative fiction movies, and this show is perfect for it; I also love its humour, characters, and theme song)
* Many Franchise/Nicktoons, notably WesternAnimation/MyLifeAsATeenageRobot, WesternAnimation/RockosModernLife, WesternAnimation/TheLoudHouse, WesternAnimation/HarveyBeaks, WesternAnimation/ChalkZone, and WesternAnimation/ElTigreTheAdventuresOfMannyRivera
WesternAnimation/ElTigreTheAdventuresOfMannyRivera (I'm not as much of a Nick fan compared to CN or Disney, but they certainly have many great cartoons)
* WesternAnimation/TheNightmareBeforeChristmas
WesternAnimation/TheNightmareBeforeChristmas (This is my all-time favourite animated film; I love its animation, musicals, creepy aesthetic, and the fact that it is about my two favourite holidays)
* TabletopGame/Numenera
TabletopGame/Numenera (I just love the science-fantasy aesthetic of this game, and I cannot get enough of its art, especially the designs of its creatures)
* VideoGame/PlantsVsZombies
VideoGame/PlantsVsZombies (I tend to get back into this game sporadically, but it's always a ton of fun and incredibly addicting for me)
* Franchise/Pokemon
Franchise/Pokemon (It's weird; I've never played a single Pokemon game, but I've loved the franchise ever since I was a kid, and I like its creature designs)
* WesternAnimation/Rango
WesternAnimation/Rango (I find this movie to be incredibly underrated, for its uniquely gritty aesthetic, more adult tone, and how it homages and parodies Westerns)
* Anime/SSSSGridman
Anime/SSSSGridman (I've never seen the original Gridman but this series was very enjoyable for me for its animation, story, fight scenes, characters, and kaiju designs)
* Franchise/StarWars
Franchise/StarWars (I love all of the movies, and I absolutely adore its alien and robot designs, as well as its expansive setting; these are the greatest films ever in my opinion)
* VideoGame/StarcraftI
VideoGame/StarcraftI (I'm not super-crazy about RTS games, but I find this one to be one of the finest constructed entries in the genre)
* Franchise/SuperSentai
Franchise/SuperSentai (I find this franchise's many series to all be a ton of fun to watch, with their general lightheartedness and crazy action scenes)
* VideoGame/TeamFortress2
VideoGame/TeamFortress2 (I love the insanity and hilarity of this game, its characters, and the comics - and I'm not even a huge FPS fan!)
* More Creator/Teletoon and Creator/YTV cartoons than you'd expect, notably WesternAnimation/TotalDrama (Island and Ridonculous Race only; [=DramaRama=] is my GuiltyPleasure), WesternAnimation/JimmyTwoShoes (first season only), WesternAnimation/RubyGloom, WesternAnimation/Spliced, WesternAnimation/Grojband, WesternAnimation/Wishfart and WesternAnimation/AtomicPuppet
WesternAnimation/AtomicPuppet (I've never found Canadian cartoons in general to be as bad as their haters say, and there are a lot of series I can think of that I feel deserve more love and attention)
* Film/TheThreeStooges
Film/TheThreeStooges (I love retro and old-timey things, especially old Hollywood comedy shorts; these guys are just some of the best in a genre full of legends)
* WesternAnimation/ToyStory and its sequels
sequels (I love Pixar movies in general, but this film series is easily my favourite for its storytelling and landmark status in animation)
* WesternAnimation/TreasurePlanet
WesternAnimation/TreasurePlanet (This to me is the most underrated Disney movie; I LOVE the aesthetic and visuals of the setting, the characters, and the story)
* Franchise/UltraSeries
Franchise/UltraSeries (I have loved virtually everything about this franchise for as long as I can remember, and it combines everything I love about both Godzilla and Super Sentai)

Hello everyone! I am Magnus Force, a student by day and a troper by night. I like history, writing, creatures (animals, monsters, aliens, dinosaurs, robots, etc.), worldbuilding, cartoons and comics, Tokusatsu, and creating ideas for works of fiction. I was born in Hong Kong but I've lived in Canada since I was 7.

I like a lot of things, but here are some that I would consider myself a particularly big fan of.

Hello everyone! I am Magnus Force, a lazy student by day and a nerdy troper by night. I like learning interesting facts (especially about science, history, and culture), writing, creatures (animals, monsters, aliens, dinosaurs, prehistoric life, robots, etc.), fantasy and sci-fi, worldbuilding, cartoons and comics, Tokusatsu, video games, jokes (especially puns), and creating ideas for works of fiction. I was born in Hong Kong but I've lived in Canada since I was 7.

I like a lot Here's a list of things, but here are some works with TV Tropes pages that I would consider myself have notably obsessed over at some point through my years as a particularly big fan of.
