Troper from SEA here, lurked for about three years or so before deciding to move up to contributor, and now it's been four years since first signing up. I tend to hang around anime and video game works and related trope example entries, sometimes descriptions, and the stuff I work on is on a by-seasonal-interest basis. I've started up a few pages myself, but won't bother listing them. Editing's just one of a handful of my hobbies, though, so I don't tend to work on pages far from what the average wiki visitor checks out.

Troper from SEA here, lurked for about three years or so before deciding to move up to contributor, and now it's been four years since first signing up. I tend to hang around anime and video game works and related trope example entries, sometimes descriptions, descriptions and images unless I'm beat to it, and the stuff I work on is on a by-seasonal-interest basis. I've started up a few pages myself, but won't bother listing them. Editing's just don't find them worth listing.

For troper typing:
* On the [[JustForFun/TheArchiveOfBellicoseLexiconEntities TABLE]], I'm with PLATTER, TONGS and WHISK. and
* On the war between [[Administrivia/LumperVsSplitter Lumper and Splitter]], I'm a bit in between, with a Lumper mentality, but given the ever-growing variety of tropes I do my best to find where splits can be made.
* [[JustForFun/TroperTypes Other labels]] I plaster upon my person are Wiki Feng Shui Master, Advertiser (which really comes with being into anime; the crowds come and go), a bit of TLP Midwife and uh, Editor.

On the TLP I like to dig down the list to contribute and bump entries in
one go, because who's going to work on it if it sinks under the sands of a handful of time and simply ''remains'', lonely and forgotten? So, productive bump-shuffling. Bad timing kills more productivity than it has any right to.

For similar reasons, if you happen to frequent the same pages I do, you'll see that
my hobbies, though, so edit reports come out long. I try to do everything in one go, because I think I don't tend to work like my name popping up too much on pages far from what the average wiki visitor checks out.
history. I mean [[SerialTweaker serial tweaking]] is fine but when you add an example and then come back and add another example, and then another... I like to tone down my degree of fixation, thanks.

If you're curious, my handle is a LineOfSightName: Kiwi fruits were the last snack I had before sign-up, and one of the captcha words was "maxim".

Hello friends, I am Kiwi Maxim and I'm a troper from the Philippines of the girl kind. I found this site somewhere in late 2009, and indeed I went through the notorious tab-opening spree a couple (dozen) times before I finally became familiar enough with the site to ''not'' open every single piece of neat-looking blue text. I may or may not have been educated by the experience.

Anyway, I started my editing experience in wikia (which one exactly I cannot say) but after I got a little tired of the people there, I dropped it and tried moving over to this site instead. So far it's been much more enjoyable.

My edits are kind of fandom-dependent, so there are times when I make a lot of edits for a single work over a few days (or possibly weeks) and later on I float away to a different work when I think I've done an okay job for the time. Of course, I do the occasional edit on trope pages and sometimes visit the page of another work, but that's pretty much my editing pattern.

If this page makes me sound professional at all, then I'd like to inform you that you've been misled. My name might say 'kiwi' but in reality, my inability to speak my native language has molded me into a socially-awkward potato.

Anyway, I'm not sure what the rule is for applying tropes to people, but here we are. Or there we will be.

!Tropes I seem to demonstrate:
* AnimalMotifs: People who know me, most of the time, associate me with cats, and I've even once been ''mistaken'' for one. Otherwise, it's crocodiles.
* BilingualDialogue: I can understand Tagalog far better than speak it, so several of the conversations I have are like this.
* CloudCuckooLander: But aren't we all every now and then.
* CripplingOverspecialization: I speak enough English to sound like an actual American citizen, despite living in the Philippines my entire life, and this gives me an edge on the internet and in school. On the other hand, I'm poor at Tagalog, which most people use for conversation.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: In the only natural way it will ever work for humans.
* TheGadfly
* GamerChick: But I'm uncomfortable playing [=MMOs=] with regional servers because of the online LanguageBarrier.
* GrammarNazi: To reasonable degrees, depending on the situation.
* KindheartedCatLover
* LineOfSightName: There was a kiwi on the desk and 'Maxim' was one of the words in the captcha.
* NiceHat: I wear one 90% of the time I'm outdoors and 30% of the time I'm in my room. At least, ''I'' think it's nice...
* {{Otaku}}: For astronomy, anyway. I've been an astronomy enthusiast longer than an anime fan.
* TheSouthpaw
* WiseBeyondTheirYears: People say I seem like this. I try not to agree because if I do I'll get a big head.
* YuriFan

By the way, the text at the bottom of the OmniGlot page translates to "Why didn't you mention that you could speak Tagalog?" "Why? Did you ask?"

Gotta check how to make a half-decent troper page sometime.
