Disliking changes for later works because they make for a worse product is fine, but disliking changes just because they don't exactly match the original version is not justified in my eyes.
* RootingForTheEmpire: When I do it anyway. It doesn't say much good about the work if I dislike the heroes so much that I want to go against what the creators intended and see them get beaten by the ones I am meant to root against.

However, complaining on areas of the site where it is explicitly allowed (I like reading and adding to DarthWiki/DethroningMomentOfSuck myself) is fine.

Shoving it in the viewer's face without any justification (humor counts as justification for me in some cases) or making it incredibly blatant that the creators are saying "we want you to watch our product because there are hot people in it" is bad.
** FetishRetardant: The usual result of such unsubtle fanservice attempts
** SelfFanservice: For extreme cases. Yea, you could give a female character nicer figure and put her in a bikini, but does she really need to be wearing nothing but strings to barely cover the essential bits while {{Gainaxing}} her now-oversized boobs surrounded by a ton of flat-out naked characters?
* KarmaHoudini: For MoralEventHorizon crossers or HateSink characters anyway. If I am to hate a character because of their intended-to-be bad actions, please make it go somewhere.
* NostalgiaFilter: Of the "everything that isn't like the first few installments or a part of the original universe is automatically bad" variety. Disliking changes for later works because they make for a worse product is fine, but disliking changes just because they don't exactly match the original version is not justified in my eyes.
* RootingForTheEmpire: When I do it anyway. It doesn't say much good about the work if I dislike the heroes so much that I want to go against what the creators intended and see them get beaten by the ones I am meant to root against.
* RonTheDeathEater: [[MemeticPsychopath Exaggerating a character's rude or violent aspects to comedic proportions is funny]]. Exaggerating a character's rude or violent aspects completely seriously to make them look worse or just pulling stuff from nowhere to further demonize them is bad.
