* DuelingWorks: This authorized film came out a short time before the [[DisownedAdaptation unauthorized]] (and more lurid) ''Film/SaintLaurent'', with both competing for major film awards. The rivalry didn't extend to the actors however, as Creator/PierreNiney paid homage to Creator/GaspardUlliel after the latter died in a ski accident in January 2022.

* CostumePorn: The YSL fashions in the film are not recreations but authentic garments lent to the filmmakers. Curators from the Saint Laurent archive were on set to make sure none of the 77 historic pieces used were damaged. The models were cast based on size, given the clothes could not be altered, and the models wore special underwear so their skin never touched the clothes.
