* FollowTheLeader: Judging by its voice cast, the show's English dub follows the steps of the ones of Anime/DemashitaPowerpuffGirlsZ and ''Anime/{{Stitch}}'' for sure. Both dubs have the voice casts different from the ones of WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls and Disney/LiloAndStitch. Its original French version suffered the same fate as the original Japanese version of Anime/DemashitaPowerpuffGirlsZ. Considering this was a Canadian made show, it's not surprising since the network doesn't have a good track record running Canadian cartoons. Competition from other cartoons airing at the time (either from Disney XD or others) might hasten the show's demise on TV.
* TheOtherDarrin: Apart from Creator/TaraStrong as Omi and Creator/JenniferHale as Katnappe, ''none'' of the original voice actors return for this series due to a Canadian law preventing voice actors without Canadian citizenship from appearing in animated projects[[note]]It's worth noting most of the replacement actors [[LoopholeAbuse also have dual citizenship, possibly in an attempt to tie into the series' US roots]][[/note]]. ** Creator/MichaelDonovan replaces both Rene Auberjonois and Maurice LaMarche as Master Fung.
** As the show is a French co-production, only Kimiko (Anouck Hautbois) and Chase Young (Boris Rehlinger) were able to return for the new series. Everyone else was replaced.

* ActingForTwo: A style definitely inspired by ''WesternAnimation/SkysurferStrikeForce'', where the voice casts voices both heroes and villains.
* CreatorKiller: Like ''WesternAnimation/SkysurferStrikeForce'', which somehow killed the Ruby-Spears animation studio, this show definitely did the same to Genao Productions. In fact, the show was so bad that ''Anime/YuGiOhTheDarkSideOfDimensions'' and all anime reboots in this decade have the original voice actors return to voice their characters.
* Misblamed: A vague statement from a voice actor in a podcast led many to believe that the show is a Canadian import. It isn't. The show's outro says that the show itself is an American-French co-production.
* TheOtherDarrin: Due to the budget constraints, all the voice cast was replaced except Omi. Despite most of the folks still active in the voice acting, French version followed the suit (except for Kimiko and Chase Young). In fact, RoleReprisal in its full form only occured in the Polish version (except Chase Young).
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: In early 2014, Christy Hui announced that the second season of the show is in works. Instead, the show became the last animated production ever by Genao Productions.
