This is likely the reason why it's getting a port on the New Nintendo3DS. The Wii version has also since been released on the Wii U Virtual Console, in Europe on August 5, 2015, North America on April 28, 2016, and Japan on August 5, 2016. Used copies can be found at nearly any Gamestop, albeit still at close to original retail price.

The fact that it's the SpiritualSuccessor to ''CultClassics VideoGame/{{Xenogears}}'' and ''VideoGame/{{Xenosaga}}'' also helped.

Edited out Game Stop\'s executive meddling. When the game was originally released it was priced at $59.99 like any other non-budget Wii title, and the copies were not all opened as to be marked used. All this only happened after the limited production run.

** And a positive example out of [=GameStop=], who apparently convinced Nintendo to sell ''Xenoblade'' from their stores... who then turned it on its ear by pricing the game ridiculously high (over $80!) and opening every copy so they could all be labeled 'used'. Four years on, 'used' copies still retail for $65.

** Some fans give Dunban and Fiora the surname "Uzuki," even though their actual surnames are never given (assuming they even ''have'' them, since most Homs have OnlyOneName). This is mostly a homage to [[VideoGame/{{Xenosaga}} Jin]] and [[VideoGame/{{Xenogears}} Citan Uzuki]].
