* RealLifeRelative: Elden Henson (Fulton) and Garette Ratliff Henson (Guy) are brothers. Elden had to dye his hair black and use a stage name (he's credited as Elden Ryan Ratliff) so he could play Fulton.

* CreatorCameo: Scriptwriter Steven Brill plays prosecutor Frank Huddy in D1. See WhatCouldHaveBeen below for details.

** Creator/CharlieSheen was offered for the role of Gordon Bombay, but turned it down and later on his brother, Emilio Estevez, took the role. Creator/BillMurray was deemed too old for the role, while Creator/ChevyChase and Creator/MichaelJFox were candidates. Steven Brill, who wrote all three films, wanted to play Bombay.

* MoneyDearBoy: Creator/EmilioEstevez agreed to reprise his role in the third film in exchange for a directorial job he had been angling for.

** Creator/CharlieSheen was offered for the role of Gordon Bombay, but turned it down and later on his brother, Emilio Estevez, took the role. Creator/BillMurray was deemed too old for the role, while Creator/ChevyChase and Creator/MichaelJFox were candidates.

** Presumably, if Main/OneSaturdayMorning hadn't been brought in to help fulfill E/I requirements for Creator/{{ABC}} stations, we could've gotten a second season.

** A cartoon about anthropmorphic crimefighters also follows the mold of [[WesternAnimation/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles]].

* StarDerailingRole: Subverted with Creator/JussieSmollett, even though he followed ''The Mighty Ducks'' with ''Film/{{North}}'', which got the "[[RogerEbertMostHatedFilmList hated]]" review from Creator/RogerEbert and tanked heavily. He would rebound in 2015 when he was cast as Jamal Lyon in the TV show ''Empire.''

* StarDerailingRole: Subverted with Creator/JussieSmollett, even though he followed ''The Mighty Ducks'' with ''Film/{{North}}'', which got the "[[RogerEbertMostHatedFilmList hated]]" review from Creator/RogerEbert and tanked heavily. He would rebound in 2014 when he was cast as Jamal Lyon in the TV show ''Series/Empire.''

* YouLookFamiliar: Actor Jack White appears in all three films, in two different roles. In the first two films, he was a referee. In ''D3'', he played Coach Wilson, the Varsity team's head coach. White has been involved in many films where hockey was the main focus or part of the story, including this trilogy, mostly as what Website/IMDb calls a "hockey technical advisor".

* RealitySubtext: Much of the Ducks was derived from real [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaheim_Ducks Mighty Ducks of Anaheim]] [[UsefulNotes/NationalHockeyLeague NHL]] franchise at the time. The team plays in Anaheim, in an arena nicknamed "The Pond" (the official name at the time was " Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim;" now it's Honda Center,) [[http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2b/PaulKariyaDucks.jpg with white and green uniforms with a duck goalie mask emblem]], and Wildwing takes its name from the team mascot (which even has a statue outside the arena.)
* RecycledScript: The episode "Zap Attack" had previously been used in various forms by writer David Wise for both ''WesternAnimation/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles1987'' and ''WesternAnimation/TheTransformers''.

* HeyItsThatVoice: Creator/TimCurry voices Lord Dragaunus. Dennis Franz (?!) also provided the voice of Klegghorn.
** Creator/TonyJay voices Wraith, the warlock member of Lord Dragaunus' team.
** Duke is Creator/JeffBennett, Mallory is Creator/JenniferHale, Canard is [[WesternAnimation/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles1987 Townsend]] [[WesternAnimation/TheTick Coleman]], Siege is Creator/ClancyBrown, and the Chameleon is voiced by the "Voice God" himself, Creator/FrankWelker. Can anything else be said?

On the season 40 ''Series/SaturdayNightLive'' Mother's Day episode hosted by Creator/ReeseWitherspoon, they showed a clip of all the cast members as children in a collection of home movies. Since Kenan has been acting in movies and TV since he was young, his "home movie" was a clip from this movie.
** Tommy Duncan would also later be in ''Series/AllThat''.
** Three of the Ducks would appear in ''Film/{{Heavyweights}}'' between installments.
** Michelle [=McKay=] is [[Series/LawAndOrderCriminalIntent Detective Alex Eames]].

* DeletedScenes: At least two in the first sequel. The first took place after Team USA follows Bombay on the golf cart roller blading. Portman and Fulton begin to bond, Coach Bombay and Ms. McKay get to know each other, and the scene ends with Fulton, Guy, and Jesse crashing the golf cart. The second involved the team members who didn't go to Rodeo Drive getting into a brawl with the UsefulNotes/{{Iceland}} team while hanging out at the beach.
