Shortly after the episode was released Freeze stated that ''The Koopa Kids'' would be going on hiatus so he could focus on other projects, most specifically, a brand new series starting side character in ''The Koopa Kids'', ''WebAnimation/{{Carl}}'', but that the series would not be cancelled. Midway through the first season of ''Carl'' however, a ContinuityReboot of ''The Koopa Kids'', ''WebAnimation/BowsersKoopalings'', was announced, essentially meaning that ''The Koopa Kids'' was ultimately cancelled in order to make way for a new show.
