* WagTheDirector: Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, though sympathetic in her reasoning, has done this atleast twice in regard to her character's portrayal, Steffy Forrester. She has made it clear to Bradley that she did not want her character to be seeking the attention in a LoveTriangle, and instead want to ''the'' center of one. The second time was during a LoveTriangle between Steffy, Finn, and Liam, and her character was supposed to willingly cheat on Finnegan; JMW was not okay with this and instead had her character do it because she was impaired rather than willingly.

* WordOfGod: Casey Kasprzyk stated in an interview somewhere that Hayes Finnegan ''is'' the biological son of Jonathan Finnegan, and that he had absolutely no plans of making any plot twists about it.

* TeasingCreator: The writers of the show intentionally had Tanner Novlan hide the fact that his character wasn't actually written off until Finn's surprise return in June 2022 due to his contract, simply just humorously telling the writers to hide themselves away for the time being.

* WrittenInInfirmity: After Lindsey Godfrey (Caroline Spencer) survived an auto-pedestrian accident in February 2015, in which a car veered onto the sidewalk she was walking at near Olympic Boulevard and Granville Avenue in Los Angeles, briefly pinning her beneath it, her character Caroline was written out as having gone to New York City to visit her two mothers (her namesake of which, played by Joanna Johnson, died off-screen due to leukemia). The severe ankle injuries Godfrey suffered in the accident were incorporated into her character's plotline when Caroline returned to the canvas in April, the events of which correlate with the events of Godfrey's RealLife accident, with several subsequent episodes focusing on Ridge trying to help Caroline through her recovery.

** Constantine Maroulis played Constantine, the manipulative record producer who tried to seduce Phoebe, for several months in 2007. ''Series/AmericanIdol'' fans may recognize him as a contestant on the singing competition's fourth season (the first season that contestants between 26 and 28, Maroulis being the latter age, could audition for the competition), making it all the way to the Top 6.
** Fred Willard played Ivy's father, John Forrester, from 2014 to 2015; the character was depicted as humorous in keeping with Willard's long career as a comedian and comic actor himself (notably in ''Film/WaitingForGuffman'', ''Film/BestInShow'', ''Film/AMightyWind'' and ''Film/ForYourConsideration'' and his television credits in ''Fernwood 2Night'' and its spinoffs, ''Series/{{Roseanne}}'' and ''Series/ModernFamily'').
