** Wolfsbane was originally conceived as a devout Muslim girl with the codename "Shikari", but because the team already had two dark haired female characters (Karma and Mirage) she was changed to a devout Presbyterian Scottish girl with her trademark deep red hair. The X-Men would not get a Muslim member until 2001's ''ComicBook/NewXMen'' when Dust was introduced.[[note]]Technically, ''ComicBook/GenerationX'''s M was the first, having been introduced seven years prior to Dust but she wouldn't be established as a Muslim until 2011.[[/note]]

* TroubledProduction: The film has had a troubled post-production.
** Following test screenings (which were rumored to not have gone over very well, although this point is disputed), Fox decided to push the movie back ten whole months. [[https://www.thewrap.com/fox-moves-deadpool-2-release-crowded-may-avengers-solo/ One report]] alleges that the movie wasn't seen as scary enough and that the film needed to be significantly reworked as a result, which isn't exactly reassuring considering that the movie was promoted as being a horror movie over being a superhero movie. ([[http://www.tracking-board.com/inside-the-drama-surrounding-foxs-new-mutants-including-a-top-secret-new-cast-member-exclusive/ Another report explained that]] the reshoots were meant to '''[[InvertedTrope counter]]''' percieved ExecutiveMeddling and make the movie closer to Boone's original vision, which had more scares; the same account states that the film tested well.)
** Following '''that''' delay, Fox hit the film with a second delay of another six months, [[http://collider.com/x-men-dark-phoenix-new-mutants-release-date-delay-explained with rumors suggesting]] that as much as '''half of the film will be reshot'''. The film will now release nearly 18 months after its original release date, and two years after filming (and its teaser trailer). However, with regard to the massive delays to the movie, several factors are still in play; namely, that actors aren't necessarily available for the reshoots due to other projects, such as Creator/AnyaTaylorJoy on ''Film/{{Glass}}'' and Creator/MaisieWilliams on Season 8 of ''Series/GameOfThrones''. With Disney's acquisition of Fox, it got delayed once more to 2020, with even the GrandFinale of the series, ''Film/DarkPhoenix'', coming out before.
** And then it got delayed once again due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The film will now release in August 28, 2020---two years after its orignal release date and '''nearly 3 years''' after the first trailer came out. Due to the Disney-Fox contract, it couldn't be released on VOD.
