** The doctor's exam originally went on much longer and included his diagnosis in song: [[YouNeedToGetLaid "A peach must be eaten / A drum must be beaten / And a woman needs something like that."]] This was cut by the censors because it was considered too suggestive.
** When Maurice arrives at the château, there was originally a sequence where he wanders into Jeanette's room and finds her writing a letter to a friend. He suggests that she write about the wonderful young man she's just met and dictates a glowing account of himself, but when she reads the letter back, it's all about this annoying and foolish fellow who won't stop bothering her. This song was cut prior to the film's release.

** In one scene, C. Aubrey Smith (as the duc) puts his arm in the wrong sleeve of his dressing gown. He even makes a comment about it.
** In another scene at the costume ball, the duc is wearing a suit of armor. The visor on the helmet keeps falling down, and Gilbert keeps pushing it back up.
