** Amidst fears the show would be extremely toned down, MerchandiseDriven and comedic to fit the motions as a children's show, to the point it wouldn't feel like Jurassic Park anymore, Creator/StevenSpielberg put the fears aside by assuring he and Creator/ColinTrevorrow weren't pulling punches beyond keeping it acceptable for youth content. Sure enough, the show, while having very little blood, has plenty of intense scenes, long-running character arcs, and barely any merchandise plugs.
** ''Film/JurassicWorld'' got some criticism for what some saw as a waste of the intriguing idea that people had started to find dinosaurs passé after they'd been around for years, with the guests showing no evidence of it. Brooklynn's difficulty in keeping her fans engaged finally makes good use of it.
** Those who may find the hybrid dinosaurs in the film series to be bland were finally given a small break in this series, where we get to see bioluminescent ''Parasaurolophus''. On the other side, those who find hybrids cool and want more of them will have their hopes become true, as the ArcVillain of Season 3 will be another hybrid dinosaur.
** Season 3 confirms that the opening scene of ''Film/JurassicWorldFallenKingdom'' takes place only six months after the events of ''Film/JurassicWorld'', not three years, explaining why the ''Mosasaurus'' didn't starve to death.

** The ''Tarbosaurus'' uses the same model but with modifications to the skull, bulking up the body, addition of scutes and color scheme. They didn't replace the missing tooth however.

* FlipFlopOfGod: There have been conflicting statements over whether the ''Spinosaurus'' in ''Camp Cretaceous'' is the same one from the third movie. Series producer Scott Kreamer claims this to be the case, while Colin Trevorrow says he thinks of the two as separate individuals.

* PropRecycling: The Eaties use a slightly modified (colour and scars) version of Rexy's model. This has the side effect of both having a couple of her distinct physical traits like her (at the time) rather gaunt frame and missing tooth.
