* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: The film has been out of print for nearly twenty years and very few places had it when it was available for digital distribution (the few places that did carry it only had it available in standard definition, it looked almost exactly like how it looked during its original [=VHS=] release), now no digital distributor sells it and the films current copyright holder, Creator/{{Lionsgate}}, just sits on the film. Interestingly enough, you find the films' sequel, ''Life During Wartime'', very readily available everywhere and with a Criterion Collection release.

earned $5.7 million, even counting the "theaters get half" stuff, that's still an additional $900k it made in profit

* BoxOfficeBomb: Budget, $3 million. Box office, $2,807,390. This film never escaped a limited release, although it probably wouldn't have done better in a wider release either given its difficult subject matter. This hasn't dented the independent filmmaker Creator/ToddSolondz much.
