If the episode was released only a year later, it's more of a Schedule Slip than a Banned Episode (not to mention how full of complaining the example is).

* BannedEpisode: This episode was originally intended to air in December 2000, but was held over to the following Christmas by FOX for being too violent, which a lot of viewers will argue wasn't in good taste, as the following Christmas was three months after the September 11th attacks and a lot of movies and TV shows were wary about showing chaotic violence (such as buildings being on fire, explosions, people fleeing in terror over a public attack, suicide bombs, people trapped in burning buildings or as hostages in buildings and on airplanes). Knowing this, the so-called "ban" was probably yet another case of FOX [[ScrewedByTheNetwork screwing the show out of a consistent timeslot]].

** Since it would have been too much trouble to get Creator/DanCastellaneta in for one line, Creator/MauriceLaMarche fills in as the voice of the Robot Devil.

* ScheduleSlip: The episode was originally planned to air in December of 2000, but was pulled for being too violent. It instead aired the following year (unfortunate timing, since it was only three months after the September 11 attacks).

* TheOtherDarrin: This episode marks the first time Robot Santa was voiced by Creator/JohnDiMaggio rather than Creator/JohnGoodman like he was in his first appearance. Also, since Creator/DanCastellaneta was unavailable, as he was working on ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'' at the time, he was replaced by Creator/MauriceLamarche as the voice of the Robot Devil in this episode.

* BannedEpisode: This episode was held over by FOX for being too violent (whether or not it was because of the September 11th attacks isn't known, but it does seem to be a bit in poor taste that the episode aired '''''three months''''' after the attacks and didn't have any of the violence/scenes of panicking people toned down or edited in any way. It could be yet another case of FOX [[ScrewedByTheNetwork screwing the show out of a consistent timeslot]]).
