* WhatCouldHaveBeen: At one point, A 5th villain was planned for The Negative. His name was Sleeper, who was going to look similar to a Plague Doctor and have hypnosis-based abilities. However, he was written out due to being too similar to Douluer, as well as not fitting in with the general theme of the group.
** Queen Harmonia was also planned to have been a Cure in the past, who fought alongside her best friend, Cure Glory. Glory was planned to have been representative of Courage, Wisdom, and Desire, and would've had a HeelFaceTurn prior to the beginning of the series.

** There was also supposed to be 25 extra episodes, all of which were scrapped due to having no overarching story arch. During the final battle with the Negative, [[spoiler: Douluer]] was supposedly supposed to get killed off for real, and, prior to that, he was supposed to mourn the loss of Dark Desire

* ActorAllusion: Madoka's dream voice actress is Yumi Hara. She is most famous for her role as Takane Shijo, a character with a purple theme color, a SugarAndIcePersonality, and who is widely regarded as one of, if not the best, singers in [[Anime/TheIdolmaster her franchise.]]
