*** Golbez being continuously worried that "something" would cause him to fall into the darkness again, being a vague reference the mad Lunarian Zemus/Zermus could appear to brainwash him again.

** Yuna and Paine not only mentioning Rikku, but stating she was probably already in the World of Respite and they just had not run into her yet.

** Weiss the Immaculate mentions that he is not at his full power, and without the assistance of his brother, Nero the Sable, he would not be able to take control of the World of Respite through its core like he wanted.

** Perhaps leaning more towards conjecture, throughout the game hints of other characters who could be added in the future have been made during the story and character events, such as Vaan talking about meeting with his brother Reks, or Relm finding her grandfather Strago. A few of these that did not end up coming to fruition include:

* WordOfGod: An interview with Ichiro Hazama, who worked on the year one release of Opera Omnia before moving to other projects provided some insight to the lack of certain popular characters and franchises in the game from his perspective. Everything pulled from the interview was from someone who only worked on the first during his launch year, and this interview was conducted before the End of Service for the game was announced:

** Also, the devs had expressed intention very shortly before the game's end of service announcement to add more characters from Final Fantasy Tactics, something fans had long been requesting. It stings even more considering the game only ever has two representatives over Opera Omnia's lifespan, and even those two reps only just got their long-awaited updates just before the announcement (Ramza's Force Weapon, and Agrias's Force and Burst), so Global will not get to enjoy them.

** With the announcement of the game's shut down on February 29th, 2024 it was decided that the Global Server would no longer be receiving any new story chapters nor any of the unreleased weapons or characters that the Japan Server already have been able to enjoy. This means Amarant, Rufus Shinra, Xezat, and Angeal will never be playable for Global players even though they are fully programmed and just need translations.Part of this seems to stem that once they announced the intention of shutting down the serves, the devs were forced to stop all in-game transactions. Therefore there is no monetary reason to release the new characters or weapons, since they likely just have to give them away for free. Extra work for no profit.

** Again with the shut-down, part of the reason the devs claim this was a good time to end the game is they felt Act 4, Chapter 9 was conclusive enough to justify ending the story. Had they decided not to shut down the servers, they could have continued the story into Act 5.
