Only applies to/goes under the work the errors are about, not the one making it.

* CowboyBebopAtHisComputer: While not prone to egregious errors, Smeghead does occasionally get a few details wrong:
** He criticizes the ''Film/HouseOfTheDead'' film for getting the name of a game character wrong, namely the film implying that Rudolph Curien is the Dr. Curien from the games, whereas the game character had the first name "Roy." Dr. Curien's first name being Roy was a piece of fanon that became circulated as CommonKnowledge; he was never given a first name in the game series (though it's hard to blame him for this one considering how widely the misinformation spread).
** In his review of ''Film/RoboCop3'', he makes a joke about the PG-13 rating forcing ED-209 to say "physical force" instead of "deadly force." However, ED-209 has always said "physical force," even in the infamous scene in [[Film/RoboCop1987 the first movie]] where it turned an executive into hamburger meat.
** In his review of ''Film/TheCatInTheHat'', Smeghead -- like [[WebVideo/TheNostalgiaCritic Doug Walker]] in his review of the film -- incorrectly states in an offhand mention that all of Dr. Seuss's books were written in rhymes when, in fact, he wrote two books in prose: ''Literature/The500HatsOfBartholomewCubbins'' and its sequel, ''Bartholomew and the Oobleck''.
** In his review of ''[[Literature/PercyJacksonAndTheOlympians Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters]]'', he criticizes Clarisse's recklessness in fighting the mechanical bull and having to rely on Percy to escape Charybdis's stomach, saying that she should already know basic battle strategy as she's the daughter of Ares, the god of war. In the original mythology, the deity in charge of battle strategy was ''Athena'', not Ares (who was the god of the physical side of war).
** In his review for ''Film/TheMortalInstrumentsCityOfBones'', he at one point describes the bad guys as "a rogue group of [[DemonSlaying Shadowhunters]] known as The Clave" and continues to refer to them as "The Clave" throughout the review...except "The Clave" is not the name of the bad guys, it's the name of the Shadowhunter government that the bad guys are opposing.[[note]]The actual name for the bad guys' group is "The Circle of Raziel" or "The Circle" for short, [[AdaptationExplanationExtrication although this was]] [[AllThereInTheManual never mentioned in the movie itself]].[[/note]]
** During a segment in his ''Film/AfterEarth'' review, he asserts that Gary Whitta (the co-writer credited with writing the film alongside Creator/MNightShyamalan) is in fact a pen name for Shyamalan himself. Not only was this not true, but many pointed out that, during promotion for the film, Whitta attended San Diego Comic Con in person. A lot of his fans corrected him, and he conceded in the comments that he jumped the gun.
