** Banagher Links of ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundamUnicorn Gundam Unicorn]]'' has a very low kill count throughout the campaign despite the possibility of his mobile suit going berserk and taking control for him. He has a HeroicBSOD the first time he kills someone.

** In ''[[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam G Gundam]]'', all world governments have adopted this as policy by agreeing to the Gundam Fight as a means of deciding national superiority rather than outright warfare. Unfortunately, the Gundam Fight system is still riddled with corruption and other problems.

** It has to be added that at the end of the film, when on Earth and fighting at AT LEAST 50-1 odds, [[spoiler: the Gundam pilots, along with Zechs and Noin, fight and wipe out nearly all of the enemy forces before their own suits began to take damage and run out of ammo...without a SINGLE enemy pilot dying.]] This is {{lampshade|Hanging}}d by the Gundam pilots, who joke that if they were aiming to kill, they'd have won so much sooner.

** Bellri Zenam from ''Anime/GundamReconguistaInG'' Zigzag when fighting without killing the enemy pilots. More times than not he just destroys Mobile Suits' weapons or limbs and lets the pilots retreat, but sometimes without warning he resorted to the kill.

*** Kira's evolution into this is quite the roller coaster ride. He starts off as an ActualPacifist who ends up FallingIntoTheCockpit. He ends up killing a number of GINN pilots, though takes killing one of them badly as he wasn't attacking and only did so to prevent another attack from occurring. After [[spoiler:failing to save a shuttle full of civilians from the Duel]], Flay [[ManipulativeBastard takes advantage of his emotional weakness]] to be much more brutal, which he doesn't realize until [[spoiler:he unwittingly kills Nicol and the Blitz in self-defense. It takes his duel with Athrun to get him to finally lean into this trope]].
*** Kira killing [[spoiler:[[OmnicidalManiac Rau Le Creuset]] in the climax of the first series]] is a much clearer example. Kira was not only pissed off [[spoiler:by Rau's [[BreakingSpeech Breaking Speeches]] and [[StrawNihilist nihilistic philosophies on life and humanity]]]], but [[spoiler:Rau]] had even gone out of his way to [[TargetedToHurtTheHero emotionally hurt Kira]] when [[KickTheDog he killed]] [[spoiler:[[TheOjou Flay Allster]], Kira's ex-"lover" who had been dearly hoping to apologize to Kira for [[ManipulativeBastard her selfish actions]] earlier in the series]]. He's also piloting [[spoiler:the [[DroneDeployer Providence Gundam]], the first HumongousMecha in the series to prove at least a match for Kira's Freedom Gundam, and [[AcePilot has the skills to put it to good use]], meaning that it would have been virtually impossible for Kira to stop Rau ''without'' killing him]].
