* Stanley Ipkiss unlike in the movie where he ends up being with the woman he loves dosen't have much success with any woman he comes across and any woman he ends up with ended up being chased away by his masked alter ego The Mask who got more luck with women than he does and is taken advantage of by people like his friend Charlie who is a Bad Boss towards him and bullied by other people as well. He also's the OnlySaneMan as well as the police are acting like idiots at times with Kellaway being on his case as well. Thankfully his masked alter ego The Mask takes care of those who take advantage of or bullied Stanley and Stanley still has a few friends as well such as Peggy and Milo though he can be annoyed by Peggy making him put on the mask of Loki so that she can do a preview of his masked alter ego The Mask doing heroic stuff but does put it on for the safety of her life. Stanley got lucky in one episode when he acts like his masked alter ego The Mask which makes his life a lot better but unfortunaly when one of the supervillains attacks Edge City and he realizes that the mask of Loki does not work anymore because he is now like The Mask so therefore he decides go back to being his old self so that his masked alter ego The Mask can come out to save the day but bittersweet at best since it came at the cost of losing his new life but on the other side The Mask does care about Stanley and loves him like he is his little brother and therefore The Mask will always be there for him and protect him no matter the things Stanley says about him or that The Mask's antics stresses him out at times.

* The Mask despite being well-liked and loved by most people in Edge City does not have any luck with women at all and he knows he can be around forever by not taking his face off but he doesn't want to do that to Stanley since he cares about and loves him very much so he knows he's going have to take his face off so that he can come out. The Mask can also be sane at times since he's one of the few people who stops the real criminals and the supervillains. Though he does get some luck on his side because thanks to his good-hearted nature most of the women who were put off by him get attracted to him because of it but it's bittersweet since The Mask knows he can't start a relationship with any of them because his existence is short but he makes the most of it as possible.

* The Mask when you think about it is a different person than Stanley because he is wacky, genuinely insane and fun loving but however unlike Stanley he exists only for a short amount of time and he probably knows that which is why he makes the most of it by going to the Coco Bongo because that what Stanley wanted but when he sees Tina he falls in love with her like Stanley but he knew that he could not be around forever so even though he could have keep his face on forever by not taking it off he knows that will leave Stanley to no longer exist if he did that so after saving Tina from being killed along with everyone else in the Coco Bongo he willingly lets Stanley exert his control over him and let him take his face off even though he knows that might mean the end of his life but at the end of the film Milo thankfully rescues him from dying by picking him up and taking him back with him to the apartment.

* After Stanley is locked up in jail, he discovers that Milo followed him all the way to the station. Stanley tells Milo to forget about him and find a new family. But he just lays down near some garbage outside Stanley's cell whimpering for his master. It's one of the saddest scenes in the film. * In the comics, the Mask ruins people's lives the moment they put it on and become Big-Head. They're turned into psychopaths, kill or hurt anyone who annoys or had annoyed them and sometimes, they don't feel a moment of regret even when they pull the Mask off. Not to mention, all the chaos attracts the attention of police, criminal organizations and even other seemingly invincible killers like Walter.

* In the movie during the big dance number. Dorian goes to talk to one of his men who had been shot by the cops, after The Mask beat them to the bank. He tries to offer him a smoke to comfort him, but he succumbs to the wound and dies. At first Dorian seems to take it well before he flies into a rage and chucks his Zippo at the TV. Of course it ends up being a MoodWhiplash when in his grief-induced rage he confronts The Mask at the club.
