** It got even worse when J.K. Rowling's antics led The Dom to unlist every Harry Potter video from his channel except for the one about where he divorced from the series. When you remember that this was the series that inspired the creation of ''Lost in Adaptation'' in the first place, it’s heartbreaking to see how tainted the books have become in Dom’s eyes due the actions of their creator.

* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Sq_ve4AN9k The Dom's tribute]] to the late Creator/TerryPratchett. The Dom talking about how brilliant his writing was, how much it meant to him and sparked his love of reading as a child in spite of his dyslexia (implying that ''Lost in Adaptation'' might not have happened if it wasn't for ''{{Literature/Discworld}}'') and saying that he feels like he lost a friend all while sounding on the verge of tears is heart-wrenching.
** As shown in his ''Series/GoodOmens2019'' pre-series release video, it's abundantly clear that he's still coming to terms with Pratchett's death. Flat out saying that he was probably going to have a good cry after learning that Creator/NeilGaiman pushed for the mini-series because it was a dying wish of Pratchett's.
** When he actually released his video of "Good Omens" he admits getting a bit teary about hearing how during the screening of the first episode, there was a movie seat with a box of popcorn and Prachett's iconic hat on it.
* While Dominic’s reasoning behind his decision to divorce his channel from any further ''Franchise/HarryPotter'' content is perfectly reasonable and ultimately both a SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome ''and'' a SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoment on his part, the scene towards the end - Terrence renouncing his wizard status by tossing his wand into the ocean - is still pretty sad, if only for his line afterwards.

* [[https://youtu.be/2ZAc0xC9hbw His video]] about ''Literature/TheEyeOfArgon'' is ''really'' depressing, as it tells the story of an enthusiastic, teenage author... who had his work published and widely circulated against his will, without making a single cent off of it, and was then mocked by thousands, to the point where he decided to give up writing altogether. As Dom puts it, it's a case of a kid doing something kind of cringey (but harmless) in earnest--ya know, like kids do--and then a bunch of people (mostly adults) utterly refusing to let his live it down, having a laugh at his expense all the while. He compares it to Music/RebeccaBlack's internet infamy, saying that Black at least has largely bounced back, been able to laugh the whole thing off, and start making music to a receptive audience... but even that was ''after'' she suffered mockery and even ''death threats'' from countless people online, and was bullied out of school over the whole thing. Understandably, Dom's very determined to not ever participate in that sort of thing again.
