* To hammer in that the years of the Battle Network are long gone, the first game has you visit the local junkyard which are filled to the brim with discarded [=PETs=] that have replaced with Transers. A massive GutPunch for any hardcore fan of the Battle Network franchise.

* The lonely heart gate in Star Force 1's Deep Space. To bypass it normally, Geo must have no Brother Bands (though a Hertz in a hidden side-area of TheVeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon can provide you with a "Lonely Heart" of his own that will meet the condition), and at the of the path beyond this gate is Kelvin's own Transer. So not only can you not even get here without being completely friendless, you get a memento of your father's absence, too.

* The fact that Starforce 4 was in in the works but cancelled halfway through production. If that wasn't bad enough, the premise of the plot is enough to get some tears flowing. Geo, now a teenager and jaded by his experiences, has become a hacker and is a wanted criminal with his new friend Kazuma, who is a direct descendant of Lan Hikari. What made these two turn to crime is up in the air for anyone and since the game was cancelled, the world may never know.

The silver lining to all this is that by getting cancelled on a high note at the end of Star Force 3, he narrowly avoided suffering from production limbo and/or HappyEndingOverride like his Classic counterparts while at the same time ensuring a bright future for the Battle Network/Star Force timeline.

* Burai's last scene in the Tribe anime. [[spoiler: Ra Mu is about to escape and even Subaru can't stop it alone. Suddenly Burai returns in a BigDamnHeroes moment and encourages him to close the gate. That's not the tear-jerker. The tear-jerker is how he looks back at Subaru one last time before pushing Ra Mu back with Subaru's help. The expression on Burai's face could almost be seen as regret. Compared to the Solo from the games, it's powerful.]]

* VideoGame/MegaManStarForce had the anime episode where Wolf Woods [[spoiler: is hiding from Mega Man and the police, so takes on the form of a household dog and sneaks into a house...not knowing a little girl is there. He decides to keep playing up the role of a pet dog to keep hiding, at first hating it, but becoming attached to the girl, and decides to stay with her. This works out until Omega-Xis finds him out at a dog show, and Mega Man battles Wolf Woods, eventually triggering his unstoppable rage, and leaves the girl. He decides that he is too much of a monster to be with her, and gives her an actual pet dog (well, digital one). During the season one finale, when the FM-ians are trying to enjoy their last day on Earth, Wolf Woods goes to visit the little girl...until Gemini kills him for energy. Quite a literal version of KickTheDog.]]
* There's the from Star Force 2. Dear god, the . The music and grayness makes it worse. The even says it can bring a tear to your eye.

* Geo takes Sonia's faked betrayal in the second game far worse than he lets the others in on. Even gets the point of impacting him in his sleep.
