Ken, who had seen his own brother ''and'' his Digimon partner die in the past, may well have had to watch helplessly as his friends, one of whom was [[HeterosexualLifePartners his best friend]] (Davis), the other was [[OfficialCouple his girlfriend]] (Yolei) and the third [[YankTheDogsChain had only recently forgiven him for his actions in the past]] (Cody), seemingly die right in front of him and there was nothing he could do about it.

This preview is completely silent, and shows Patamon flying away from behind, then a screen saying "Goodbye, Takeru." The next shot is Takeru's face from the side, but only from the nose down. Considering the trauma Takeru went through in [[Anime/DigimonAdventure the first season]], this probably isn't something good.
