* DemonicSpiders: These would be your {{Mooks}}. A starting mob can usually play volleyball with your hapless hero's rapidly-desintegrating carcass. "Easy enemies" simply do not happen in a Souls-like game. However, they should at least be fair to fight. There is no shame in being bested by a superior foe, but a cheap loss stings no matter who deals it out.

A starting mob can usually play volleyball {{Mooks}}: Enemies that obscure the player's progression should come in many shapes, sizes, and difficulties. Their purpose is to teach the player how to act and react in combat with your hapless hero's rapidly-desintegrating carcass. "Easy enemies" simply do not happen in a Souls-like game. However, their skill-set. Attacking, dodging, countering, etc. "Easy" enemies are rare because of this, but regardless of challenge, they should at least always be a fair to fight. There is no shame in being bested by a superior foe, but a cheap loss stings no matter who deals it out.

But if your entire lineup of mooks can send the player to the GameOver screen faster than you can say "Game Breaking Balance Issues", then you might need to make some changes.
