** The trophy for completing all the Gummi Ship courses in [=KH1:FM=] or getting an S-rank on all EX Gummi Ship missions in [=KH2:FM=] is called " Film/TopGun "

* Since Demyx is a [[NoCelebritiesWereHarmed spoof]] of the late Music/DavidBowie, his [[ThatOneBoss infamous quote]], "Dance Water Dance", was taken from the song "[[VillainSong Dance Magic Dance]]", which Bowie sang in the CultClassic film ''Film/{{Labyrinth}}''.

* Tinker Bell is a fairy that can heal you, as well as be used as an extra life. Think she moved to Neverland from [[Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda a certain other land?]] Especially noteworthy is the fact that [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime a certain blue fairy companion of Link's]] has been noted to be a parallel of Tink's, since both are fairies who have feelings for their partners (Link for Navi, and Peter Pan for Tink), and are jealous of another girl close to them (Princess Zelda and Wendy Darling, respectively).
* While possibly just a coincidence, the keychain that Sora obtains in Halloween Town in the first game (and later as an Attack Card in [=CoM=]) is named " Film/{{Pumpkinhead}} "

* Yen Sid's name is a homage to Creator/WaltDisney, and not in the way it originally seems; while "Yen Sid" is indeed "Disney" spelled backwards, Walt Disney himself would use the SdrawkcabAlias "Retlaw Yensid" when involving himself in projects and media that he did not want the public to know about.[[note]]For example, he called himself by this alias while scouting Florida for the property that would eventually become Ride/WaltDisneyWorld, due to knowing that if the real estate owners knew just ''who'' was looking for land, they might try to up-sell him unsuitable property for the theme park.[[/note]]

* At one point during the Hunny Slider mini-game, Sora and Pooh have to escape a giant snowball in clear parody of the ''VideoGame/CrashBandicoot'' games.

* Wreck-It-Ralph's summon attack, 8-Bit Blast, does not resemble his game from the movie at all despite summoning the arcade game for him to fall out of, but rather takes cues from his inspiration [[Franchise/SuperMario Mario]]. He places Brick Blocks (with the brick pattern on top of the blocks resembling classic Mario brick blocks) with cannons sticking out, but the cannons are green with pronounced rims, making them look very similar to the Warp Pipes from the source series. You can place the brick blocks in air where they'll just float and you can jump on top of them, and his finish command involves breaking them as well. The actual act of placing brick blocks can possibly be a nod to {{VideoGame/Minecraft}} as well.

* The leaves in the Golden Wood section (which is exclusive to Riku) in Symphony of Sorcery (in ''VideoGame/KingdomHearts3DDreamDropDistance'') will play notes sounding similar to the solfège (do-re-mi-fa-sol-la-ti), which was made famous by ''Theatre/TheSoundOfMusic''.

* The first Formchange for the Wheel of Fate Keyblade in ''III'' is called "High Wind" and is a BladeOnAStick, referencing the famous Dragoon class and its ThemeNaming from the ''Final Fantasy'' series. The weapon's combo finisher is also heavily inspired by the Dragoon's Jump ability.

* In Monstropolis, Sora's fur color will become yellow with orange stripes if he formchanges with the [[Franchise/WinnieThePooh Hunny Spout]], making him resemble [[Franchise/RatchetAndClank a lombax]]. For bonus points, this form turns the Keyblade into guns.
