** Sara takes a lot of shit from the rest of the group, notably whenever they’re about to make a hasty decision (i.e. [[WhatAnIdiot not reading their contracts]]) or when Sara has family problems ([[KickTheDog when her daughter is sick with pneumonia]]).

* RealityEnsues: Pretty much the entire premise of "No Cheesecake 'Til Brooklyn" was teaching Da Band that the music business isn't just "walk into the studio, spit a few bars, make money".

* CrowningMomentOfFunny: The cheesecake walk.
** Ness being choked out by Fred with his pants around his ankles.
** Diddy walking through the group's rooms, which were absolutely filthy.

* DistractedByTheSexy: Chopper, Ness, and Dylan in S3E1, where they ditch Babs to go to a hotel room with a bunch of (very ugly to slightly average-looking) groupies. (Granted, they thought/heard that Babs was right behind them in another car, but still.)

** Bentley is arguably the most patient, reasonable authority figure in the house but often gets disrespected and brushed aside, especially on his first day with the group in Episode 3.

** Discussed in Season 1 when [[TheFriendNobodyLikes Pocahontas]] calls [[TokenWhite Jamie]] a "white devil".

** Sara loses her voice from the constant stress of living with the group and being away from her family, resulting in a classic example of this trope as she tries to record a song.

* JerkassHasAPoint: Fred's hostility towards Ness in episode 9 comes from Ness sharing very disrespectful comments about Fred and his family at home after Episode 4's ending.

* NeverLiveItDown: The cheesecake walk.
** Ness getting choked out by Fred ([[CrowningMomentOfFunny with his pants down]]) gets replayed twice, both during reflections on the group's ups and downs. Both times, they are (possibly unintentionally) replayed with precise comedic timing.

* ReadTheFinePrint: Pathetically averted in S2E12 of MTB2, where everyone in the group ([[GenreSavvy except]] [[OnlySaneMan Sara]]) signs the contract without reading it, pressuring Sara into signing it quicker when she consults her husband about it as they want to get their money faster.
* RealityEnsues: Pretty much the entire premise of MTB2 Season 2's first episode was teaching Da Band that the music business isn't just "walk into the studio, spit a few bars, make money".
* RealityTVShowMansion: Diddy's house in MTB2.

* ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem: The infamous "cheesecake walk" of MTB2's Season 2 premiere, as well as the various jobs Diddy has Da Band do in the next episode.

** Da Band as a whole in the Season 2 Premiere. Diddy is quick to shutting this down through various chores and errands for an "initiation process".

* TheWoobie: Poor Sara can't catch a break.
** Mysterious in Season 1, especially when she loses her sister, misses her funeral to focus on making the cut, and then ends up being rejected anyway.

* ReadTheFinePrint: Pathetically averted in S2E12 of MTB2, where everyone in the group (except Sara) signs the contract without reading it, pressuring Sara into signing it quicker when she consults her husband about it as they want to get their money faster.
