* IncriminationByIndifference: Subverted. One episode has a girlfriend leave her boyfriend as he's having a seizure and dying. Dr. Garavaglia understandably suspects she did something to him despite her insistence that he had a seizure disorder. An autopsy reveals they were both wrong: the boyfriend had actually been lying about his disorder to cover up the fact he was addicted to painkillers, and the addiction had caused the seizures. Dr. G actually found nothing in his medical records about a seizure disorder, but instead found claims of chronic pain; she determines the girlfriend fully believes his lies and that his death had been caused  [[CryingWolf because she was so used to him being fine after his seizures she just assumed he would be fine again.]] She's ultimately acquitted of any wrongdoing, and Dr. G points out that she was a victim as well.
