He irrationally thinks opposing America and reuniting them with England might redeem him in the eyes of royalty, and it's gone as poorly as you'd expect.
* Ratcliffe gets along wonderfully with Ghetsis, as the two are vain, manipulative and desire to further themselves to higher positions of power. * Opposed by: ''Anyone'' who values fun, the House of Sports
* Fairy godparents are known for being ecstatic and energetic, so perhaps it's fitting that one of their arch-enemies is the epitome of drudgery. Head Pixie(H.P for short) is the leader of the pixies, a race who treats magic as a business. Detesting the chaotic nature of wishes, he wises to take over Fairy World and have it run as dull as he likes. Dry and manipulative of bureaucracy, he is the banality of evil itself.
* As far as H.P is concerned, magic(especially wishing magic) should be a business with plenty of paperwork. And he takes great pride in making sure the paperwork is in his favor. His ambition in the Trope Pantheon is to take over the House of Magic, which hasn't had much success because [[TalkToTheFist they punch him before he can file paperwork]].
* Considers the House of Celebration to be a complete eyesore, and has made it high priority to try and demolish said House. He has also tried to stomp out creativity in the House of Craft, leading to him getting banned from both houses.
* The boredom and drudgery they seek led them to become allies at first with the Auditors of Reality. They were attracted to each other's desire for an orderly and organized universe, however H.P realized [[WorldOfSilence just how far]] [[OmnicidalManiac they would go for order]]. [[EvenEvilHasStandards He considers them insane]], and makes sure to try and limit their LawfulEvil ways.
* He likes the Incubators due to their duplicity and abuse of ExactWords, along with their emotionless nature. The Pixies are working with the Kyubey in order to restore their original magic system and deal with Madoka Kaname.
* Was rather irate that Ron Swanson had supplanted Vogon Jeltz, forcing the Vogons to merely be his followers, at least before they return with [[SuckinessIsPainful a new title]]. He doesn't appreciate Leslie Knope either, believing the only bureaucracy should be ''his'' bureaucracy.
* Utilized a {{Tykebomb}} in a thirty-seven year long plan to make the world a safe and boring place, however he lost control of Flappy Bob who embraced his clown heritage. Because of this he has a hatred towards all clowns in the pantheon, whether they be [[NonIronicClown good]] or [[MonsterClown evil]]. The exception is Krusty the Clown, due to being a major sell out.
* The Pixies are trying to help Dolores Umbridge regain influence within the wizarding world, as he likes her banality and ruthless nature.
* Has been banned from the House of Sports due to being a consummate cheater in sports.

* Opposed by: [[Pantheon/FantasticalJobs Trazyn the Infinite]]
* Malcador's ascension received a varied response from the Pantheon, the Gods of the Imperium and especially the Emperor are glad to have the Sigillite with them for this portion of the war against Chaos while enemies of Mankind are furious that another champion of Humanity has ascended but they are cautious since his presence heralded the arrival numerous Inquisitors and Imperial Assassins from various temples alongside some paper pushers from the Adeptus Administratum.
* Shortly after his ascension, Malcador and several Assassins infiltrated Trazyn's temple, destroying a sizable number of Necrons and retreated after accomplishing their objective. Trazyn was furious when he learned that copies of the Mona Lisa and Sunflowers were missing from his collection, he has since sworn vengeance.
* Malcador's past is something of a mystery even within the Pantheon. Within the mortal realm, members of the Imperium have speculated that Malcador was a psyker granted immortality by the God Emperor during the Unification Wars, while others believe him to be far older than that. Malcador has not revealed much but there are rumors abound that he was once a member of the Illuminati, leading him to be at least 20,000 years old.
* The Sigillite's status of being the third most powerful psyker in the Imperium was once put to the test by the forces of Chaos. The Archtraitor Horus and the traitor legions were rapidly advancing upon Terra, endangering the Grey Knights Chapter during it's very founding. Thus Malcador cast Titan into the Warp, centuries later the moon resurfaced from the turbulent tides of the Immaterium with a complement of thousand Space Marines and their many serfs, all pure and unaffected by their journey within the realm of Chaos itself.
* He is incredibly honored and proud that the Emperor called him [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cxfPPvX4Bg&t=2m35s his most loyal servant ever and bro for life ]] but is not very happy about the context in which it and his sacrifice were brought up. He expected better of the Inquisition and the Grey Knights and is furious at them for letting the Emperor down with their deeds.
** But despite his anger with the Grey Knights, he is glad that Kaldor Draigo redeemed himself.
* After learning of Malcador's ascension, Angron seeks to confront the Sigillite for how their first encounter ended. Thus far Malcador has been able to evade him
* Malcador has a strong ItsPersonal attitude towards Magnus for not only betraying the Emperor and endangering Terra itself by risking it becoming a Daemon World, and as such he opposes the traitor Primarch in any way possible. [[spoiler:Grudgingly, Malcador's delayed his plans for Magnus after the Primarch proved his willingness to rejoin the Imperium by annihilating the rotten core of the Inquisition, one of the very few things he hates more than Magnus himself.]]

* Unknown Relationship: [[Pantheon/BodyImages Alex Louis Armstrong]], [[Pantheon/TypesOfMechas Liberty Prime]]
* One of the many PrivateMilitaryContractors whose presence domineers over the ''Metal Gear'' universe, Desperado Enforcement LLC., is actually backed by an elected Colorado senator and United States Presidential candidate named Steven Armstrong. Far from being the typical politician who wields the ability to make laws and wage wars yet stands distant from the results while lining his pockets, however, Armstrong is truly the head asskicker of the entire faction. While his fighting style itself is a rather rudimentary mix of [[IKnowMaddenKombat gridiron football]] and [[WrestlerInAllOfUs wrestling moves]], given that he [[UsefulNotes/AmericanFootball played college ball, y'know]], he uses nanomachines infused in his body to enhance his physical abilities to inhuman levels, granting him drastically increased strength, durability and speed during combat.
* Nothing, absolutely nothing showed that the Senator would go on to be another deity, especially considering how his Metal Gear didn't turn out to be as dangerous as suspected. Having enough of this bullshit, Armstrong stepped out to confront Raiden and... [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTXbEJPwXKQ this happened.]] Suffice to say, GUAE's applause went through the barriers of dimensions. Armstrong later cemented his deification by breaking an HF Blade in his hand like a stick, destroying MG Excelsus in one hit, and putting up an epic fight with Raiden, or as he called him, Saucy Jack. During said fight, he also revealed that his true intentions were to purge and rebuild American into a "[[TheSocialDarwinist land of the free ruled by the strong]]" in which people fought and killed for what they personally believed, ending the influence of the very overbearing laws and corrupt wars [[StartXToStopX he was using to gain power]]. Though he ultimately lost his life in the end, with his heart crushed by Jack, he was honored with ascension after dying as Raiden's literal shadow.
* Enjoys a good fight every now and then and so is a frequent visitor in the House of Combat. People still seem to be surprised that he can be so dangerous.
* Occasionally visits the House of Technology as well to strengthen the potential of his nanomachines.
* Because of his deification, the University of Texas is experiencing an incredible period of prosperity.
* Believes only the strongest will survive, which sometimes puts him at odds with majority of other gods. While his policies are similar to Lucifer's, he was not officially endorsed or allied with the Morningstar for a while due to being Law aligned. Lucifer ultimately pointed out that he doesn't care about the methods, but the outcome. Despite Armstrong's Lawful appearance, his ultimate goal is purely Chaotic: becoming the ruler to destroy all the rules is something Lucifer has no problem with. Armstrong jumped at the opportunity to join the Grand United Alliance of Chaos due to what it represents to him.
** Was on the front lines when [[Pantheon/{{Demons}} Lady Lucifer]] of the Seven Mortal Sins attempted to depose Lucifer as leader of the GUAC. He battled Satan, his counterpart as Sin of Wrath, a battle that ended inconclusively. Nowadays they are [[WorthyOpponent sparring partners]], Satan honestly uncaring one way or the other about his political ideologies, but he's a fantastic opponent. Who would have thought that human technology, even something as advanced as his nanomachine armor would be potent enough to actually chip her axe?
* Is busy trying to recreate a new version of United States of America where everyone can be truly free and fight their own wars. The number of his supporters rivals that of his opposition.
* When asked if the arts of Combat-Capable Politics was something that was '''[[Manga/FullmetalAlchemist PASSED DOWN THROUGH THE ARMSTRONG LINE]] ''[[MemeticMutation FOR GENERATIONS!!]]'''''... Steven was left unsure how to answer. After realizing this was related to the family of Alex Louis Armstrong, he gets increasingly annoyed whenever someone asks him he's related to the most muscular Amestrian Major.
** Later, though, he took an interest in the Major's history and would read up on the events of a certain tragic war Alex was a part of. Now he pities the man as a textbook example of what can happen to those who fight and kill in pointless wars they don't understand.
** It was two different people that stood out to him from said war; the doctors Yuriy and Sarah Rockbell, who went there to save everyone they could from both warring nations, Amestris and Ishval. While they predictably lost their lives (though not the way he'd expect), the Senator respects their attempt to take on their own mission to rescue the would-be victims of a senseless war. He would express this respect when he ended up in a fight with the Scarred Man who killed them, and to his surprise Scar agreed wholeheartedly, considering their manslaughter his greatest sin. While the Rockbells' daughter was honestly touched by this when she found out, she overall does not trust the Senator.
* Not the biggest fan of cherry blossoms. Don't bring them up, lest you want to be unable to, quoting the man, carry your box of shit out of the building.
* Was called out by [[VideoGame/GuiltyGear Chipp Zanuff]], who stated that his efforts to be the next president of USA are futile and not very good and his nanomachines are no match for Chipp's ninja skills. Armstrong just awaits the time they actually cross in a fight to see who's right.
* Has expressed interest in getting Liberty Prime on his side. While the robot's idea of what America should be is not necessarily one Armstrong agrees with, anyone who enforces their ideals with Prime's enthusiasm is alright in his book. Plus, [[MemeticMutation having played college ball]], he knows a good throwing arm when he sees one. Comments on forming a team among the Pantheon have yet gone unanswered.
* Has been compared to Ragyo Kiryuin on a couple of occasions, most notably since both her first fight with [[spoiler:Satsuki]] and his manhandling of Raiden are rather similar in appearance, down to [[spoiler:breaking the sword in two in both and the ultimate end of the fight — ripping the heart]]. Armstrong was actually offended by this, as his motives were to give the people their own reason to fight, while Ragyo is basically "feeding man to space jackets" as he put it. Furthermore, while he may be willing to use ChildSoldiers, Ragyo's sexual abuse of [[EvenEvilHasStandards her own daughter was plain sickening in his eyes]]. He is already planning on knocking her down a peg.
* Some people say that he can potentially be the angriest god in the Pantheon. Even when he is just angry, he is [[http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/707/020/ba1.jpg 200% mad]].
* Father has very mixed feelings about Senator Armstrong. On one hand, he sees the potential in his abilities, but on the other hand, he reminds him about his most rebellious son who played an important role in sending him to the Gate of Truth. The fact that he suspects him of being related to Alex Louis Armstrong, and has heard about his VillainRespect to the Rockbell doctors, does little to better Homunculus' opinions about Steven.
* Once tried to [[http://knowyourmeme.com/photos/1034381-one-punch-man fight]] Saitama. [[CurbStompBattle It went about as well as you'd expect]].
** After being revived at House of Life and Death, Armstrong said he respected Saitama's strength.
* Was once targeted by Night Raid member Akame, who attempted to poison him. Thanks to his nanomachines, Armstrong was unfazed and came out victorious. Interested in her skill, he challenged Akame to fight him again, while Akame swore that their next encounter would end with him dead.
* The Phantom Thieves hate him for being yet another authority figure who abuses the less powerful, but their hatred of him runs deeper than the usual LawfulEvil tyrant, as he bears a remarkable resemblance to the Shadow form of Masayoshi Shido, their most hated enemy. Ironically, Armstrong respects them more than he does Shido himself, [[EvenEvilHasStandards because the Phantom Thieves put their lives on the line for what they believed in, while Shido just sat comfy in his office, making backroom deals and telling others to do his dirty work]]. It doesn't help that the irony also includes his nationalistic ideology running counter to Armstrong's extremely individualistic worldview. Even the Thieves admit that his motives sound more like Akechi in regards to plunging society in a state of anarchy and proving he's better than others by taking them down with his own force (Armstrong also respecting how Akechi [[DoWrongRight actually did all the heavy lifting himself]]). To them, [[AffablyEvil he may not be]] [[WellIntentionedExtremist as rotten as Shido]], but he ''is'' [[YoureInsane just about as crazy]]. He does give Shido props for attempting to [[DyingAsYourself die as himself]] before his change of heart finished, but there's still the problem with [[UnwittingPawn how he only thought he was in charge]] when it was God himself (Yaldabaoth, to be exact) who was pulling the strings.
** On that note, he's already complained about how the people can be manipulated through the government and media, so he hates how Yaldabaoth's rigged game involves exactly that, let alone the fact of how the result was to stop them from thinking or acting for themselves and let him be in charge. The way he sees it, that Holy Grail thing [[DeadpanSnarker apparently isn't a fan of him]] [[ChaosIsEvil or what he thinks]].
* He and Vergil agree that [[MightMakesRight might controls everything]]. They disagree on which of the two is mightier, and whether the principle already governs their reality (Vergil) or requires a violent cleansing to do so (Armstrong). Naturally, while they do respect each other, they often come to blows.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhc8HaXChxI Ran as a 2016 presidential candidate.]] Parallels to the real-life race have been noted.

* Upon her arrival, [[Pantheon/PersonalAppearance Poison]] went up to him and, instead of being mad, asked that maybe one day that Haggar joins her wrestling federation, or at least challenge it when she has a big enough crew. Haggar accepted the challenge.
* Has helped out Gentoku Himuro enter the world of politics that are present within the Pantheon, happy to get some more help getting policies passed for improving the conditions at certain Houses.
* Whenever he hears that the old Mad Gear crew members are hosting a gathering in their compound, he likes to hide in a barrel and then pop out to chase them around. This is largely so he can make sure that they're all still on the up and up and not planning another criminal scheme, though he'll readily admit he enjoys giving them a good scare.

* TheEmpire of Akame Ga Kill is a corrupt institution, where political corruption and decadence has become the norm. At the heart of this rot is [[IronicName the ironically named]] Prime Minister Honest. Theoretically under the control of the Emperor, he has been manipulating the PuppetKing so as to continue his hedonistic lifestyle. [[FauxAffablyEvil Though he seems clownish, almost jolly]] Honest is everything that can wrong with a political adviser.
* Though a surprisingly skilled fighter, [[SmugSnake he's not as skilled or smart than he thinks]]. He mainly relies on Esdeath, [[VillainousFriendship who he has a professional and business-like relationship]]. He sees himself as the like-minded rival of Tywin Lannister and Jafar. Tywin has laughed this off, stating Honest is more [[Pantheon/RoyaltyOther Aerys]] at his most slovenly. While originally holding the role of EvilChancellor, Jafar sees little talent in him.
* He has been trying to get his greedy mitts on the House of Pantheon/{{Royalty}}. He isn't allowed entry because of his scheming towards the Emperor. This hasn't deterred him from one day desiring mastery of the house. Oryx tolerates him because of his close alliance to Esdeath, but doesn't like his cowardice as the ruthless should have [[VillainousValour valor]] to back it up. He'll send out Hive and some Taken to help him out, but only sparingly and with Esdeath's insistence.
* Night Raid was ''not'' happy to learn that he had ascended, especially Leone given she killed him (anime) or gave him to the angry populace (manga). Neither was Honest, but he was more worried about the Phantom Thieves of Heart. As the epitome of political corruption, arguably more so than Masayoshi Shido, he's one of their main targets for HeelFaceBrainwashing (if only the Meta-Nav would register his name as a real name, though…). Goro really wants his hands on him due to being like his despicable father.
** One can also add the ascended Assassins (Ezio and the Fryes) and Shay (the only ascended Templar) to the list, as Honest's worldview goes against ''both'' of their creeds.
* Usually seen [[VillainousGlutton indulging himself in sweets]], having once dislocated his jaw like a snake to eat a cake whole. People wondered [[AmbiguouslyHuman if he was even human]], and evidence suggests [[IAmAHumanitarian he's been consuming human flesh]] to add to his strength. He has spent a lot of money in Pantheon/{{Food}}, and became a good friend of fellow VillainousGlutton Jabba the Hutt.
* Seeks to perpetuate corruption as long as possible in hopes of continuing his gluttonous behavior, and twist the Emperor into an extension of himself as a means of living on. As the Trope Pantheons is in the middle of the SlidingScaleOfIdealismVersusCynicism rather than in the cynical side, it's a lot harder for him here. He hopes to use the likes of Dolores Umbridge and Manfred Von Karma to rig the system in his favor, the former of which thrives in governmental debauchery.
** Has been on the payroll of the Penguin for a few years. He doesn't care that the crime lord has ties to [[Pantheon/{{Laughter}} far less savoury figures]] than him, so long as his pockets remain full.
* One of Honest's biggest allies is Ethan Roark Junior. The Yellow Bastard notes him to be very similar to his own corrupt father; a psychopath who allows scum like himself and Kevin to get away with their crimes and is the main reason for the CrapsackWorld setting. This has put him on the hit list of both John Hartigan and Marv, who recognize him being similar to the Roark family patriarch and plan to take him down.
* Works well with other leaders steeped in corruption and depravity. Good friends with Napoleon, as they're both pigs in one way [[AnimalMotifs or another]]. And with Aegon the Unworthy, as they're both bloated leaders who allow debauchery to fester for their hedonistic lifestyles.
* Evil appears to be [[VillainousLineage hereditary]] for Honest. A distant relative of his used his name to kidnap and torture girls, and his son Syura is equal parts SpoiledBrat and sadistic SerialRapist. Much like the Yellow Bastard actually, which is probably why Honest is fond of him. Admittedly he doesn't care about his son that much, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spLPLiDYtQE given this is how he reacted]]. He's thinking of forming a more organized form of Wild Hunt with some of the psychos in the pantheon like Wyald and Gregor Clegane. He visits the House of Pantheon/{{Slaughter}} to get tips of torture and other obscene activities.
* Due to the corruption he represents, Oberyn Martell and the Basterds want to bring justice for him, particularly the Red Viper due to many of his personal monsters reminding him of the Mountain's obscene cruelty. Honest fears his PoisonedWeapons as he knows Gregor's slow and agonizing expiration was in part because of how resilient his body was. Having made his own body resilient and being able to have his torturous death prolonged because of this causes him to further fear Oberyn.
* A number of evil and/or morally dubious deities [[EvenEvilHasStandards want him dead]]. Teru Mikami sees him, like general laziness and other corrupt politicians, as one of the biggest problems in the world. He tried writing his name, but since "Honest" isn't much of a name, the Death Note didn't work (also a reason why the Phantom Thieves of Hearts can't get to him via the Metaverse, either). Varys wants to get rid of him to better the realm. Cersei however wants him gone for personal reasons-she knows what he's done to the Emperor, she doesn't want his mitts on her easily manipulated son Tommen.

Rich, corrupt and sleazy, the senator is effectively in control of the city, better known as Sin City. It's a place where corruption is king, honesty is lethal and power comes from lying. And as senator, he'd have it be that way forever so long as he and his family can benefit from it.
* He and his family are free to engage in any vice he wishes, and nobody's going to testify against them and live. Well, at least in Basin City. Upon his ascension he's been warned that the Trope Pantheon is '''not''' [[CrapsackWorld Sin City]], and he can't just threaten and bribe every cop and politician to get what he wants. Roark countered that while it may be true, there's enough corrupt people in the pantheon that he can still benefit from. He's more here to bolster his power in Sin City anyway.
* Naturally despised by every good and honest member of the House of Pantheon/{{Justice}}, a concept that is borderline non-existent in his city. He can't bully them like he could back home, and Roark intends to change that. Many in his own house walk on eggshells around him. There is one cop he gets on with-Nikolai Bulygin, who brutally enforces "justice" or more accurately making up whatever rules he can just because he's powerful. He's happy to help Senator Roark in putting the "lawless bugs" (read:honest cops and those that get in his way) in their supposed place.
* The father of Ethan Roark Junior, and the main reason why the Yellow Bastard was able to get away with [[SerialRapist his]] [[SerialKiller ac]][[WouldHurtAChild tivities]]. Less him caring for the guy, but more out of principle. He was the one who reconstructed his genitals [[IWantGrandkids because he wanted grandchildren]]. He wanted him to be the first Roark to be president, but realizes his personality is completely unsuited. He'd try to have another child, [[TilMurderDoUsPart but since he killed his wife with a bat]] that's not going to happen.
* Despised by Oberyn Martell for letting his psychopath of a son have free reign to rape and kill little girls, as it reminds him of how Tywin permitted [[Pantheon/ActsOfWar Gregor Clegane]] to commit his atrocities on the Martell family and allowed him to get away from his depravity. Chris Hansen has declared him an enemy as well due to how he aids his monstrous son.
* Gets along with Prime Minister Honest. They're the source of corruption and decadence in their respective settings, and are just as sleazy and corrupt as each other. Also they have a complete psychopath of a son who's sadism causes more problems than solutions. Key difference is that Roark is more dignified and competent. He has Wild Hunt on loan to do his dirty work. Sometimes hires the Brave Companions, but at arm's length because of their StupidEvil tendencies.
** Though skilled at keeping his city as sinful as it is, Roark knows he's out of his league compared to Palpatine or Isaac Wescott. He couldn't get a Roark as president, much less compare to their ambition
* Has ties to organized crime, more so because he needs that criminal element to help him out in the pantheon and to darken the setting he's found himself in so he can better benefit. [[BigScrewedUpFamily Given the company that is his family]] a lot of the organized crime gods replied "[[EvenEvilHasStandards maybe if you clean up your act a bit and disown your monster of a son, we'll talk]]". Giorno Giovanna and his crew declared them enemies as they took control of the mafia to ''end'' the kind of corruption Sin City sees.
* Though the Passione is his enemies, Diavolo is perfectly happy to work with Senator Roark if it means he can make a lot of money off his drugs through shipping to Basin City, and Diavolo can help keep Giorno's gang away from Basin City. He's perfectly willing to cover up Frollo given he's a depraved priest just like his own brother, and Manny Pardo has he could have use for a murderous cop.
* Concerned with the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, since he is exactly the kind of rotten adult they're trying to change the heart of. Goro Akechi takes the most contempt to him because Senator Roark reminds him of his horribly corrupt and sociopathic father Masayoshi Shido, not to mention Roark's attitude towards his own illegitimate son Johnny. [[SoreLoser Or being beaten in a card game]].
* Despite his own villainy, Light Yagami despises Roark for being the very corrupt authority figure that must be purged from his vision of a perfect world. Senator Armstrong sees him as the kind of miserable slog that gets in the way of an America where people can fight and die for what they believe in, and is frustrated by the sleazy senator sharing the same sub-house as him.

* Opposes: The House of Pantheon/CrimeAndTransgressions
* Opposed by: The more intelligent and capable members of his house
* The Mayor (real name Barney) is the conspicuous and seemingly [[PermanentElectedOfficial permanent]] mayor of Townsville. Despite his role as mayor, he's not that good at it and constantly calls for the Powerpuff Girls' help. Childish and idiotic, it's for the best that his secretary is competent enough to balance him out.
* Despite his incompetence, the Mayor of Townsville has managed to keep his position in spite of everything. He did end up being replaced once by Fuzzy Lumpkins, however won back his position in a wrestling match with Fuzzy. Not a fighter, but if you try to take his hat [[BerserkButton your ass is grass]]. He considers Archibald Snatcher a grave enemy because he would do ''anything'', no matter how evil, to have a hat denoting position and authority.
* Dreams of being a buff and intelligent mayor, in a city made of [[TrademarkFavoriteFood pickles]] and everyone having his face. While the latter two are pipe dreams, the former is why he joined Pantheon/{{Leadership}} as he wants to be a better mayor. It hasn't gone so far, and most of his house don't care for him. Cornelius Oswald Fudge does seem to sympathize with his plight given his own incompetence in leadership.
* ''Really'' likes pickles, and always has a jar of them around. Often he'll call for the Powerpuff Girls to open it when he can't, though to prevent the girls being interrupted during important crimefighting the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfGood has made sure any jar he gets is easy to get off, with a jar opening machine [[EpicFail if he somehow messes that up]]. He met with Prismo and befriended him due to loving his pickles. Prismo has ignored any pickle-based wish though since it would be a waste.
* Asides from pickles, he also likes bananas and candy. He has a jar of candies, which once offered the girls one every time they saved the day. This caused them to hold the JerkassBall and ended up apologizing, though this ended with them all stuffed from more candy. He also likes turkish delights, which Princess Morbucks once took his position for a whole bunch of them. Likes to have sweets with Stocking Anarchy.
* Usually calling the Powerpuff Girls over his phone, and has many telephones in his position. He also has a wife, but they don't get along much given he's more interested in his secretary and would've traded her for a priceless, one of a kind porcelain poodle. Those involved with communication in the pantheon get rather annoyed by calling for even minuscule problems.
* Tired of relying in the Powerpuff Girls, he once tried to be a hero in his own right. It backfired due to [[KnightTemplar treating even the smallest transgressions as worthy of a boxing glove]], forcing the girls to save the city from him. The House of Pantheon/{{Justice}} has told him not to get involved, though Roscoe P Coltrane understands where he's coming from due to his own LawfulStupid nature.
* Like Billy he's really stupid, and seems to get along with him for that reason. [[HiddenDepths He's not totally lacking in intelligence]] however, like the time he solved Him's riddle "what is boiling and freezing at the same time". Still really stupid though, given when the Robbing Leech, who's capable of sucking important information from people, couldn't get anything from him. The Brainspawn are somewhat concerned he was immune to their stupefaction rays [[TooDumbToFool because they couldn't make him any stupider]].
* [[Creator/TomKenny He sounds like]] [[Pantheon/{{Advertising}} Spongebob]] and the Ice King. He seems to get along with the latter.

* "Diamond Joe" Quimby has held the office of Mayor of Springfield for at least six terms, and despite some competition remains in office. So you'd think that he would be at least competent at the job. [[MayorPain Instead]], Mayor Quimby takes blatant bribes, has a gazillion affairs, has embezzled and dodges taxes, and is generally corrupt. But with the seal of the wall on his office being "Corruptus in Extremis" [[AtLeastIAdmitIt he's at least honest]].
* As mayor, he and Chief Wiggum have a strained friendship due to being rivals in power. It's further strained by the ever corrupt Quimby having a working relationship[[note]]read:kickbacks and bribes[[/note]] with those in the Organized Crime sub-house. However he does have his limits, as he refuses to associate with [[CompleteMonster the Slavers]] [[EveryoneHasStandards as he finds them scum]]. Bucciarati and friends would rather not associate with him because they know it would further spread corruption in Springfield
* [[StrawCharacter He's a parody of Democrats]], [[EqualOpportunityOffender though the series makes its share of Republican jokes]]. More specifically he parodies seamier and seedier sides of the Kennedy plan, particuarly Ted Kennedy. Because of this he has a lot of respect for President Kennedy, but it isn't reciprocated; Jack is embarrassed by him as he represents his family's worse aspects. And while a womanizer himself, JFK did at least care for his wife unlike Mayor Quimby.
* He does some work to Frank Underwood for the political buff, but privately admits [[EvenEvilHasStandards a lot of what he does is too much]] and is perfectly aware Underwood seems him as a mere tool for his own ends involving Springfield. However, he's still trying to figure out WhereTheHellIsSpringfield. And given their reputations, their dealings are rather down-low.
* While his corruption is relatively harmless, Quimby does have some evil tendencies in his willingness to kill his political opponents killed and buried in the harbour. Mayor Quimby is well aware this could end up with the Phantom Thieves knocking at his door, and it terrifies him. However the House of Pantheon/TimeAndTemporality has informed them it probably isn't necessary [[Recap/TheSimpsonsS6E19LisasWedding as they've seen one future]], [[KarmaHoudiniWarranty and karma]] [[FutureLoser will bite him]].
* While [[PragmaticVillainy wanting to be off their radar]] is a factor, sometimes Mayor Quimby [[PetTheDog will do good things]]. He gave [[Pantheon/IntellectualArchetypes Lisa]] a Mt Rushmore-like monument for getting second in her spelling bee and was proud of her, and defended [[Pantheon/HairStyles Marge]] when she blocked traffic due to a breakdown[[note]]it also helps it gave him the woman vote[[/note]]. He also was willing to give up television when Sideshow Bob threatened to use a nuke if Springfield didn't give it up. As Sideshow Bob had already defeated him in an election and would've kept his mayoral position if [[DickDastardlyStopsToCheat needlessly buffed his landslide with dead voters]], he already hated him.
* Senator Roark used to hold his title of SleazyPolitician, but given [[ViceCity the state of Basin City]] CorruptPolitician was more fitting. As bad as Mayor Quimby is, Senator Roark takes his corruption to an ''ugly'' level [[EveryoneHasStandards that sicken him]]. Mainly considering his permissive of his pedophile SerialKiller son, [[Pantheon/{{Toxicity}} Junior]]. While Senator Roark tried to defend this by pointing out he was willing to use bribes to get his nephew off the hook for assault, Quimby shot back by pointing out what Roark Jr did [[RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil was]] [[WouldHurtAChild far]] [[CompleteMonster worse]].
* ReallyGetsAround, not even trying to hide it from his long-suffering wife. He has a number of illegitimate kids and Miss Springfield is his favorite mistress. He enjoys drinking [[TheAlcoholic in general]], but particularly drinking with Charlie Harper over their "scorecard". Mayor Quimby has been upping taxes to fund his regular visits to [[Pantheon/EstablishmentsAndDistricts the Succubus District]].
* Despite this lustfulness, however, [[EveryoneHasStandards he was horrified to learn]] [[SurpriseIncest he was sleeping with his niece]]. He pities Oedipus for accidentally marrying and impregnating ''his own mother'', in part because YouCantFightFate. Quimby also considers [[spoiler:fellow mayor]] [[Pantheon/{{Underclothes}} Corset]] to be "a bit too much" with his corset bondage, only for him to scoff with "don't kinkshame me".
* Sometimes you can find Adam West and Mayor Quimby having a happy time drinking together. This connection mystifies most, but [[WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy the residents of Quahog]] aren't too surprised as their deceased mayor Adam West is [[MayorPain a weird, problematic and chaotic mayor]]. Joe Quimby enjoys playing the straight man off that side of West, [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} and it's easy for him to be the straight man]].
* [[EvenEvilHasStandards Has a disgust]] for the Roarks, especially for Ethan. However this still doesn't stop Mayor Quimby from claiming he has the moral high ground

* In the game of thrones you win or you die. And to win, it's usually about political acumen and bureucratic cunning. Tywin is a veteran of the game, having served under both Aerys Targaryen and Robert Baratheon. He's destroyed families to restore honor to his house and is a cold, unfriendly figure but has earned begrudging respect because [[BadassBureaucrat he knows how to handle politiking]], [[DragonInChief being king in all but name and title]], [[PragmaticVillainy and affording mercy when invaluable]]. He may have stayed on top until his dying breath had it not been for his [[FatalFlaw fatal flaws]]: his inability to properly judge his family, [[CantTakeCriticism and slights to his name]]. This has led to many a DisproportionateRetribution and would lead him to making a fatal enemy in his youngest son Tyrion. [[AssholeVictim For many it was a cause of celebration]], [[KarmicDeath and for many more it was proof that what goes around comes around]].
* Ascended to the Pantheon after suffering a terminal case of crossbow bolt to the bowels thanks to his youngest son (and also proving once and for all [[BrickJoke that he does not shit gold]]). Tyrion had hoped he'd be tormented by the ghosts of Tarbeck and Reyne, as for all his posturing of the importance of family honor [[AbusiveParents he's an awful parent]]... ''especially'' to Tyrion because he believes in the MaternalDeathBlameTheChild trope. The straw that broke the camel's back was learning the "whore" he fell in love for was genuine, and Tywin forced Tyrion [[RapeByProxy to participate in the gangrape he ordered]]... [[DisproportionateRetribution because he refused to accept he'd marry a lowborn]]. Though he's committed many ruthless political acts, [[MoralEventHorizon this was personally atrocious]]. Unsurprisingly, even when those in Westeros work with him he's not the best of allies.
** [[DeliberateValuesDissonance Though his political views on his family aren't out of place in Westeros]], he isn't much better a dad to Jaime and Cersei. [[JerkassHasAPoint However, he's not wrong in a lot of his opinions in them]]. Either [[Series/GameOfThrones pre]] or [[Literature/ASongOfIceAndFire post]] mortem, Cersei revealed [[{{Twincest}} the truth of her children]]... and Tywin could only rage at both of them for causing a SuccessionCrisis. Following TV's Cersei destruction of the Sept of Baelor Tywin has been further vexed, however critics were quick to point out his EvenEvilHasStandards is [[{{Hypocrite}} hypocritical]] given the Rains of Castemere; the real difference is that his FamilyExtermination was methodical and successful, while Cersei's slaughter [[StupidEvil was desperate madness]].
** [[EvenEvilHasStandards He's legitimately disturbed by]] [[RoyalBrat his grandson Joffrey]], and is half-glad that someone like Tommen succeeded him. However he is still a Lannister, [[FamilyHonor and an attack on one Lannister is an attack on all]]. Whatever potential alliance the Tyrells had was squandered due to Olenna's involvement in Joffrey's assassination, and Littlefinger being behind the regicide naturally made him an enemy of House Lannister. The spoiled Joffrey was merely frustrated Tywin was part of the pantheon [[DragonInChief because he's the king whenever he serves as his hand]], and Tywin has not so unfairly blamed Cersei for raising an even worse version of herself. Tywin has also cut ties to Varys due to his involvement with his brother Kevan's death and not being loyal to House Lannister, and the Brave Companions for chopping off Jaime's hand when they decided to turn to Roose's side. Roose himself is in the clear as it was mainly their choice, [[StupidEvil and the stupid idea to cut off Jaime's hand]] [[PsychoForHire was all the Bloody Mummer's]].
** Due to the War of the Five Kings he is an enemy of House Baratheon and House Stark, primarily the latter because he was the man behind the Red Wedding. However [[JustGivingOrders Tywin believes he cannot be seen as vile as those whole follow out the orders]]. Roose Bolton and Walder Frey remain political allies, though as Frey's patriarch got most of the hate due to being the one who violated SacredHospitality. Tywin defended all this by asking how it's more moral to kill thousands on a battlefield than much less in a wedding. [[JerkWithAHeartOfJerk Though this was his standard "grab the moral high-ground" tactic]], [[VillainHasAPoint it's still a fair argument]].
** While not a nice person even by Westerosi standards, Tywin is in many ways a product of [[InherentInTheSystem system]] of Westerosi politics [[HadToBeSharp that rewards hard-asses like him]]. His own father Tytos was a overly generous NiceGuy with thick skin, and he was exploited and humiliated. [[EvenEvilHasLovedOnes Though Tywin cared about his father]], he felt emasculated and [[FreudianExcuse his ruthless personality was forged so he and House Lannister will never be stepped on again]]. Also, one of his closest friends, Aerys Targaryen, would become an AbhorrentAdmirer to his wife who'd constantly belittle him [[DrivenByEnvy due to being a better leader than he was]]. Unsurprisingly, Tywin came to hate the whole Targaryen line.
* Tywin Lannister was more focused on the political turmoil and chaos that happened after his death than the existence of the various Grand United Alliances, but when he did he quickly concluded ''none of them'' would work as his primary loyalty is to his house[[note]]read: his own ego and vanity[[/note]]. The Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil tried to promise Tywin political power, but he refused first and foremost due to [[Pantheon/{{Villainy}} Melkor]] being the head; [[DystopiaJustifiesTheMeans he knows]] [[OmnicidalManiac his endgame]] [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness and the fate of those who'd helped him]]. On a similar note he finds the Night's King and the whole Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfDestruction [[YoureInsane complete insane]]. The other alliances either didn't want him, or in the [[Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfChaos GUAC's case]], were antithetical to his beliefs.
* One must ask what is worse: actually performing the brutal deed, or being the one who orders it. [[JustGivingOrders Tywin believes the answer is the former]]; though he personally sees Gregor Clegane as a monster, he still considers him too useful to dispose of. [[PsychoForHire And given what he's allowed to get away with, the Mountain is happy with this arrangement]]. Tywin hoped to get [[Pantheon/CrueltyAndSadism Ali-Al Saachez]] to serve as a co-Mountain, but he refused and wanted to do his own thing instead. The Kurgan wasn't as picky, and given outside the pantheon he's still all but completely immortal he makes a very useful PsychoForHire. It helps that while the Kurgan is similar in personality to Gregor [[VillainousFriendship and the two get along]] [[TheSociopath as much as their kind can]], [[StupidEvil unlike Gregor]] the Kurgan also holds to PragmaticVillainy.
* Though part of him [[EvenEvilHasStandards is genuinely unnerved by the brutality of what his men can do]], he is still the man who gives orders to his men. And Oberyn Martell has '''never''' forgiven him for it; [[DoomedMoralVictor he may have died had he not forced the confession out of the Mountain]]. Though he didn't intend the Targaryen children to have such a brutal demise, he still wished to end them and combined with his awful parenting skills he has gained the enmity of Kazuma Kiryu. Geralt, who already was soured on Tywin due to his disgust at the Mountain and his friendship with the Starks, has similar reasons to hate him. It certainly doesn't help that Tywin Lannister is similar to Emperor Emhya Van Emreis [[Creator/CharlesDance in more than just voice]]. [[InsultBackfire Tywin took the comparison as a compliment]], [[MagnificentBastard/TheWitcher and not unjustly]].
* He once got into a [[DeathGlare staring match]] with Raoh when the King of Fists mocked him as to how he was slain.
--> '''Raoh:''' The Imp proved one thing. You really can't shit gold.
** [[spoiler:Tywin lost.]] He took pride in been a lot wealthier than Raoh as [[http://www.forbes.com/special-report/2012/fictional-15-12/tywin-lannister.html according to ''Forbes'' magazine]], he is worth $2.1 billion. Not too shabby, but he's not the richest man in the Pantheon. But he's working at it. Kenshiro mused he better work at it fast as he's coming for him for his abuse of those around him, the abuse of the system and the terrible deeds he's ordered or in some cases committed. ''Especially'' the Rains of Castemere and what he did to Tyrion. Tywin simply replied to the former "you don't understand politics", either dismissive or [[EvilCannotComprehendGood not comprehending why he'd be outraged]].
** As the ''Fist of the North Star'' world [[AfterTheEnd is more badlands and lacking in a lot of the societal structure]] Tywin Lannister is used to, he doesn't like having to deal with it. He'll begrudgingly admit that Raoh knows how to command strength and order, and as much as he hates to be mocked he cannot deny he didn't make a burn. His opposition to Kenshiro is more the latter's anger at someone evil like him [[MoreDespicableMinion commanding worse evils like the Mountain]]; [[PragmaticVillainy Tywin on his end tries not to provoke him or be anywhere near him]]. Kenshiro's mislike is furthered by agreeing with [[Pantheon/{{Depravity}} Thouzer]] that LoveIsAWeakness, though he disagrees that it's a completely useless emotion-it's just not good for politics. Again, he tends not to talk to Thouzer or anyone in their world asides from Raoh, and then only once in a while.
* When asked by Nobunaga Oda to why he ordered the Red Wedding…
--> '''Tywin:''' Explain to me why it is more noble to kill 10,000 men in battle than a dozen at dinner.
--> '''Nobunaga:''' If you kill a dozen men at dinner, then you are a murderer. If you kill 10,000 men on the battlefield, then you are a conqueror.
** The two men became friends after the fact. Asides from a mutual respect for each other's politicial cunning and dynastic ambitions, Tywin also agrees that GoodIsOldFashioned, citing House Stark [[HonorBeforeReason prioritizing honor above what is practical]]. His and Oda's friendship is bolstered as the latter is a breath of fresh air from [[Pantheon/VillainousAppearances the Demon King Oda]], who's ObviouslyEvil behavior is dismissed and derided by Tywin for "[[CartoonishSupervillainy being theatric absurdity]]". Another man who impressed the hard to impress Tywin was Victor von Doom: while he disagrees with Tywin's methods in dealing with the former royal family and of how he crippled the Starks, he does respect Tywin for not only bringing his family back from the brink, but also making the Lannisters the power behind the Iron Throne in the Seven Kingdoms. But he did tell Tywin that he should have done better with his children. Tywin's response?
--> '''Tywin:''' I know.
* Visits the House of Commerce with the intention of expanding his influence there. Of course, Littlefinger makes himself scarce whenever Tywin is in the area. He is smart enough to give Smaug a wide berth, as there are rumors going around that he is in cahoots with Daenerys Targaryen. Unfortunately for him, those rumors turned out to be very true, as not only did the daughter of the Mad King have ascended, but she has become allies with Smaug. Tywin is well-liked by the high-class nobility and rich folk there because his reforms benefit them... and the commoners hate Tywin because like much of the Westerosi nobility he's monstrously elitist.
* Has a surprisingly cordial and mutually respectful relationship with Lord Vetinari, which is only enhanced by the two sharing Creator/CharlesDance as an avatar. However, the two are fully cognizant that they are likely to be enemies, and will have no qualms about opposing each other under those circumstances. Another surprising ally he has was with Alexander the Great. While his ability to expand and develop empires and ambition are naturally something Tywin values, many were surprised someone heroic would get along with Tywin. However it's important to remember much of Alexander's heroism [[HistoricalHeroUpgrade is from]] ''Literature/FateZero''. Alexander would die young before he could solidify a lot of his political goals involving conquered Persian territories, and Tywin finds the idea of being a power broker for him enticing.
* Tywin isn't the worst father in the Trope Pantheon, but still he's a very terrible one. The Heroic Protectors of Family didn't just resort to calling him an evil person or [[YouMonster an abusive monster]], but outright told him he '''cannot''' claim to care about family values when he never even treats his children as actual family. They even compared him to Ozai and Ghetsis in this respect. Tywin doesn't like being compared to Ozai as he sees him as a lucid version of Aerys the Mad, and on some twisted level Tywin at least thinks he loves Cersei and Jaime. Ghetsis on his part '''never''' cared about his adoptive son N beyond being a tool. Ghetsis on his end actually like Tywin due to his political ambitions and cunning, [[InsultBackfire and thinks being compared to Tywin is a good thing]].
* If you think Tywin can't take a joke, you don't know the half of it. Somewhat understandably given how his father became a laughing stock, Tywin inherently distrusts laughter and the number of times he's smiled [[EvenEvilHasLovedOnes outside of with his wife]] are astronomically low. Unsurprisingly he doesn't like the Joker, however it's not just because of his "dark comedy" or [[EvenEvilHasStandards even Tywin thinking what he's done is sick]]; the Joker's chaotic, nihilistic viewpoints are antithetical to his rigid, aristocratic views on society. For similar reasons he is creeped out by Johan Liebert, however he also thinks [[Pantheon/HeroicArchetypes Bruce Wayne]] and [[Pantheon/HeroicAttitude Kenzo Tenma]] are idiots [[WhyDontYouJustShootHim for not just shooting them]]. While the former hero did admit he's doubted at times, he countered by saying [[EvilCannotComprehendGood Tywin doesn't understand the point of a no-kill rule in the first place]].
* The other (actually heroic) Joker agrees with the sentiment that Tywin Lannister is both a product and perpetuator of [[InherentInTheSystem a corrupt system]]... and it's why Westeros ''desperately'' needs a societal clean-up. Tywin is well aware of [[HeelFaceBrainwashing how the Phantom Thieves deal with people like him]], [[NeverMyFault and given he refuses to see himself in the wrong]] his immense {{Pride}} has created a Palace worthy of [[CorruptPolitician Masayoshi Shido]]. And like Shido, he is honestly willing [[BetterToDieThanBeKilled to risk suicide rather than let them]] [[FateWorseThanDeath ruin him]]. He has sent out a hit on them, only for a hit to be sent out on him from the Heroic Protectors of Family: [[BewareTheNiceOnes their anger at his appalling parenting skills has hit a boiling point]]. [[PapaWolf Being a loving dad, Bryan Mills hates him too]].
* [[EvenEvilHasStandards Tywin of all people considers]] the Red Skull and Ragyo Kiryuin awful parents and people. The sad thing is that no-one can disagree with him: the Red Skull is a die-hard [[ThoseWackyNazis Nazi]] even many Nazis sometimes have trouble stomaching, and who considered OffingTheOffspring ''[[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain after learning his child was a girl]]''. Ragyo not only disposed of one of her daughters, but emotionally, physically ''[[VillainousIncest and sexually]]'' abused the one she kept [[TranshumanTreachery but wanted to sell out humanity to Life Fibres]]. Again, [[CompleteMonster they're so bad TYWIN thinks they're monsters]]. He also thinks he's a better father than Ozai, but 90% of the time most would call Ozai "only marginally worse". His real beef with the guy is how he's basically a competent and lucid Aerys Targaryen, enough so that Tywin can't outright deny he's a WorthyOpponent.
* Iroh and Zuko have gotten on Tywin's blacklist for saying he's ''exactly'' like Firelord Ozai [[EvilIsPetty as it makes him look bad]]. Tywin to his credit is a ''much'' better brother than Ozai is, [[AloofBigBrother even if he's aloof and not that open to his siblings]]. As a father however everyone knows he's emotionally abusive and manipulative, and lets whatever love he may have for them being clouded by his own issues and ambitions. By contrast Azula actually likes Tywin for being a reasonable, smarter [[ALighterShadeOfBlack and less odious]] version of her dad. In turn Tywin has come to respect her enough that he wishes she could've been his daughter instead of Cersei; [[MagnificentBastard She's almost everything Cersei claims to be and wants Tywin to think she is]], [[SmugSnake rather than what Cersei ACTUALLY is]].
* He is a close political friend with Wilhuff Tarkin, though not above critiquing him. And to his credit, Tarkin has admitted said critique is fair: [[MachiavelliWasWrong it is important to avoid being HATED more than being feared]]. [[PragmaticVillainy One must show mercy to a foe who kneels or none will ever kneel to you again]]. To Tarkin's credit, he pointed out [[{{Hypocrite}} Tywin can have difficulty trying to be more feared than hated]]. Tellingly of how well they got along, [[HypocrisyNod he admitted he has work to do]]. Tarkin hoped he might finally see at least a smirk on Tywin's face, but they weren't close enough friends to do so. Watching over all of this was [[Pantheon/{{Leadership}} Palpatine]], who is currently speculating that Tywin may be a worthy fit for a future Imperial governor.
* Tyrion couldn't help but try and humiliate his father by revealing that he visited [[Pantheon/EstablishmentsAndDistricts the Succubus District]] as he had privately visited brothels after his wife died, [[{{Hypocrite}} despite being disdainful of Tyrion's open visits to brothels]]. Tywin has defended this apparent hypocrisy by saying there's a difference between [[CovertPervert privately slaking one's lust]] and being open about it: being open about it hurts one's reputation. Tyrion only retorted that this was among the ''least'' hypocritical things he's done. Solf J Kimblee [[EvenEvilHasStandards is utterly disgusted by what a consummate hypocrite Tywin is]], [[ParentalHypocrisy especially when he has the gall to demand his children follow standards he doesn't truly practice]].
* More meaningful to him and his interactions with Lady Eboshi. [[EveryoneHasStandards Though elitist Tywin doesn't look down on capable women]][[note]]his problem with Cersei [[SmugSnake is that she's not as smart as she thinks she is]][[/note]] and admits Eboshi's a WorthyOpponent. She's compared him to Lord Asano, but far more interesting and ruthless. At first, Tywin found Eboshi and her Iron Town to be less desirable than Lannister gold, until he saw the matchlock rifles at work. This led to an invasion of Iron Town, and discussion over the matters of power and politics. He was admittedly impressed by the calm and collected Eboshi, as well as the determination of the people defending Iron Town from his knights. They also share a disdain for Robert Baratheon and his... ravenous appetite for women.
