* PracticallyJoker: Let's see, he wears a natty suit and at one point wore a hat, his default expression is a constant SlasherSmile, he has a twisted obsession with the main hero, is a blatant CardCarryingVillain and a DiabolicalMastermind with a vast criminal empire, has a warped sense of humor, and has scarring on his face. Plus, after stopping All Might's SuicideAttack on him, his age regressing body destabilizing from [[TooSpicyForYogSothoth all the immense power he wields]] leads to his face ''splitting open'' from how wide he smiles, forming an extremely horrible, Joker-like grin before the damage is rewound again. It's not at all difficult to see more than a few similarities between All For One and the Clown Prince of Crime.

** His last monologue shows that he genuinely believed becoming a HatedByAll EvilOverlord will ensure he's recognized forever in history as an vile monster who stands at the apex of villainy, as "unpleasant experiences leave a bigger impact", so as not to be forgotten by anybody in the world. Instead, each and every evil act he's committed means no one ''wants'' to remember him and his own selfish hoarding meaning he never created a legacy that'd outlast himself leaves him [[Unperson a nameless nobody]] to the present generation. This thought seems to have never occured to All For One.

** His last monologue shows that he genuinely believed becoming a HatedByAll EvilOverlord will ensure he's recognized forever in history as an vile monster who stands at the apex of villainy, as "unpleasant experiences leave a bigger impact", so as not to be forgotten by anybody in the world. Instead, each and every evil act he's committed means no one ''wants'' to remember him and his own selfish hoarding meaning he never created a legacy that'd outlast himself leaves him [[{{Unperson a nameless nobody]] to the present generation. This thought seems to have never occured to All For One.

* EvilIsBigger: His crippled body ''looms'' over everybody else, aided by his life-support helmet making him look even taller, and adds to his dominating and imposing presence. However this becomes {{Inverted}} during the final battle, as when [[FountainOfYouth Rewind]] pushes him back to the point his body begins to physically de-age, he winds up shrinking down into a young boy even smaller than Bakugo, along with his status as the [[BigBad driving threat]] of the conflicts.

** This gets {{Inverted}} to chilling effect when he's utterly pissed and still possesses his oculars, as his face becomes [[FaceFramedInShadow covered in shadows]] ''except'' for his eyes, showing only a stoic DeathGlare that nonetheless emphasises how [[TranquilFury seething he is underneath his external composure]], communicating his clear malice through his natural [[EmptyEyes soulless gaze]].

* LargeAndInCharge: All For One stands at a whopping 7 feet 4 inches tall, making him one inch taller than All Might. Becomes {{Inverted}} during the final battle, with Rewind diminishing him back into a child, along with his role as the [[BigBad overarching threat]].

** All For One doesn't seem to have much skill, if any, in hand-to-hand combat. As a result, the few melee attacks he actually makes tend to be huge power attacks with no real technique behind them. Even the [[WeakButSkilled Quirkless All Might]] makes a fool of him using PoweredArmour to fight close-range, whilst mocking how piss-poor his performance is for a "Demon Lord"

* EnfantTerrible: From birth he had a [[EntitledBastard natural sense of entitlement]] towards whatever or [[EntitledToHaveYou whomever]] he saw, having no compunctions taking from others on instinct which made him out to be worse than an [[TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior a stereotypical hellion]]. Such as stealing so many nutrients from his mother that it caused her DeathByChildbirth and left Yoichi weak and infirm. [[BadWithTheBone Stealing her Quirk moments before (or after) he was ever born]] and used it to [[InsaneEqualsViolent viscously kill anybody who crossed his path who wouldn't give him something he wanted, like he had slaughtered a bunch of rightwing racist prowlers]] during the meta ability blooms early years. More because [[AttentionWhore they ignored him as just more flotsam]] left behind by the onset of a BewareTheSuperman craze than because they assaulted him. Viewing anyone around him as a possession to have or destroy. Even his little brother Yoichi wasn't safe from harm as AFO's response to his attempt at waylaying his killing spree was to [[BigBrotherBully kick him in the ribs]]. When Rewind begins reverting him back to a child's age, he's no less dangerous than he was as an adult.

* AxCrazy: He was ''born like this'', filled with "a hubris and disrespect for others" right out of the womb, and seeing people only as possessions he could take from. If they had nothing to give him, he would [[MurderIsTheBestSolution immediately kill them]] and take what he wanted from the corpse afterwards, even whilst still a child. Learning about super villains from Yoichi's comic books actually taught him how to dial this down by channelling it into becoming a real-life CardCarryingVillain, rather than the OmnicidalManiac he was developing into. As events turn increasingly against him over the course of the FinalBattle, his composed MaskOfSanity as the DiabolicalMastermind slips, exposing [[PsychopathicManchild the true raging maniac]] he is underneath. By the time he reaches Izuku's battlefield, he's a cackling lunatic screaming every line at the top of his lungs, with absolutely deranged facial expressions.

** Somewhat tragically, the flashbacks to his past reveal that he's always been doing this to himself regarding his own humanity. He ''does'' have some underlying empathy towards Yoichi, being uncharacteristically shaken by his brother's passing, but as he is absolutely convinced VirtueIsWeakness and only "ordinary people" feel such emotions, he's deluded himself that he doesn't want his brother's love and thinks of him only in terms of a favoured possession he's lost. He claims that the BerserkerTears he shed when learning Kudo had already passed "Yoichi" onto another were something he did intentionally to confuse him, rather than an actual emotional outburst.

* BerserkerTears: Surprisingly enough, yes. He killed Kudo whilst giving him a NeckLift with tears streaming down his face, his demeanour [[TranquilFury ice-cold]] and [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness the complete opposite]] of his usual enjoyment of killing his enemies as painfully as possible. This was because Kudo mocked him that [[SiblingMurder he'd killed Yoichi]] when he demanded to know where his brother('s power) was, reminding All For One of the one evil action he felt guilty about and was in denial over. All For One later claims the tears were [[CrocodileTears intentionally done]] simply to confuse Kudo in his last moments, except that's very clearly a poor lie to deny the emotional outburst that showcased his trace humanity.

* BigBrotherBully: He was Yoichi's primary caretaker from infancy, using his Quirk to enable them both to survive in harsh conditions and is the only reason Yoichi made it to adulthood. He also beat Yoichi whenever he tried to oppose him hurting others, locked him in a safe, and ultimately forced a Quirk upon him. The whole reason Yoichi was even born so frail and weak was because of All For One monopolising the majority of their mother's nutrients in the womb, meaning he's the cause of Yoichi's weakness.

* CreepyChild: To say AFO was unnerving in his youth, [[Understatement really doesn't do it any justice]]. The flashback of his early years depicted him as having an eerie sheen to his eye which depicted his apathetically self-centered mindset to a tee. Nothing reflecting in his eyes was a good implication that he saw nothing and no one else as remotely significant compared to himself. And to say nothing of his more murderous tendencies growing up.

* EnfantTerrible: From birth he had a natural sense of entitlement towards whatever he saw, and had no compunctions taking from others on instinct, such as stealing so many nutrients from his mother that it caused her DeathByChildbirth and left Yoichi weak and infirm. He stole her Quirk before he was ever born and used it to viscously kill anybody who crossed his path who wouldn't give him something he wanted, viewing anyone around him as a possession to have or destroy. When Rewind begins reverting him back to a child's age, he's no less dangerous than he was as an adult.

* InfantTerrible: As revealed in later chapters detailing the Shigaraki brother's origins. All for One was revealed to be worse than an [[TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior a stereotypical hellion]], his own narration segment stated him as an [[EntitledBastard]] from his earliest age. Coveting anything and everything he could get his hands on, from the moment of his birth he stole his dying prostitute mom's meta ability [[BadWithTheBone Spear like Bones]]. As he grew to preadolescence, [[InsaneEqualsViolent he slaughtered a bunch of rightwing racist prowlers]] forming a xenophobic lynch mob. Not because they had the audacity to assault him nor his brother, but because [[AttentionWhore they just ignored him]] [[DisproportionateRetribution as just another bit of fallout]] from the plague of quirk upheaval. When his younger sibling tried to admonish the elder of the two for murdering people? AFO's response was to [[BigBrotherBully kick him in the ribs]] for his attempt at impedance. Needless to say, he was not a fun kid to be around in his early days.

* CreateYourOwnHero: The final arcs make it clear that All For One has a ''very'' bad habit of doing this without recognising his mistakes from past experience, from Yoichi to Izuku to indirectly, All Might himself.

** During his conflict at Kamino Ward, hr faced the LightningBruiser All Might backed up by the FragileSpeedster Gran Torino, the latter providing moral support agaisnt the mind games he tried to play against the hero due to his own inability to directly fight All For One. This repeats during the final battle with Izuku and Mirio against his "Perfected Demon Lord" self in Tomura, driven home by the fact that Mirio and Gran Torino both noticeably use capes as part of their hero outfit and the opposing GiantHandsOfDoom wielded by both bodies against the hero. Both of them are defeated by his respective opponents channeling their anger into an unorthodox attack that deals him a massive blow beyond what any other fighter could unleash.

** {{Deconstructed}}, as he's so used to being able to this method that when he's on a time limit thanks to a copy of Eri's Rewind, he keeps doing this whenever his {{Berserk Button}}s are pressed too hard. This ends up burning up his remaining time without him really being able to do much with it.

* HeroicSacrifice: {{Inverted}}, as he pulls this off without actually intending to ''really'' sacrifice anything of value to himself, despite summoning the spirit of the trope from his past experience with heroes, making it come off as a mocking jab at heroes for their illogical fantasy of 'saving' people through their sacrifice.

* ClippedWingedAngel: Driven to the edge both physically and mentally All For One desperately unleashes all of his Quirks at once with his ultimate move Omni-Factor Unleash: All for One Goal, in order to kill Bakugo and overpower Tomura all at once. The move turns All For One into his ideal demon lord form, a nightmarish amalgam of seemingly everyone whose Quirk he's ever absorbed that towers over the city and rockets through buildings like they were tissue paper. However, at this point All For One has lost control of his emotions meaning his iron clad control of the stolen Quirk factors has slipped causing his powers to no longer work in tandem. His new form is also so big it means he's not very mobile once he's stopped by Bakugo's explosions. All of this causes All For One's ultimate move to turn him into a giant target that Bakugo proceeds to blow to pieces, the end result of which turns him into an infant (which All Might states would have happened even if the attack had worked).

* DeathOrGloryAttack: After being driven into a frothing rage over Bakugo's resistance, who has seemingly inherited the will of Kudo the second [=OFA=] user, and realising that he is almost out of time before Rewind kills him, All For One proceeds to use all of his Quirks at once, turning into a monstrous amalgam of flesh and bone in an attempt the both kill Bakugo and reach and overpower Tomura all in one shot. All Might is left in shock as he realises that, even if he succeeds, the blowback will turn All For One into an infant, but the villain is so far gone that he doesn't care as long as he can transfer into Tomura. [[ClippedWingedAngel This goes badly for All For One.]]

* ClippedWingedAngel: Driven to the edge both physically and mentally All For One desperately unleashes all of his Quirks at once with his ultimate move Omni-Factor Unleash: All for One Goal, in order to kill Bakugo and overpower Tomura all at once. * DiscOneFinalBoss: {{Zigzagged|Trope}} Despite being the one of the two [[BigBadDuumvirate Big Bads]] of the series, he's defeated at Kamino and imprisoned by the climax of part 1 of the story, leaving Tomura as the new leader of the League of Villains. Then All For One’s plans see his consciousness [[HijackedByGanon possesses Tomura]] and frees his original body from prison. But then, during the FinalBattle, fighting both the Heroes and Tomura's mental struggle from within on two fronts causes his control to slip, allowing Tomura to destroy his vestige and become Izuku's [[ArchEnemy sole final opponent]] once again.

* DeathByDeaging: {{Discussed}}. He considers his unreparably broken body to be '[[ExpendableClone destined for the scrap heap]]' in favor of his ideal self as subsuming Tomura's personality within his strengthened body, willing to use [[DangerousForbiddenTechnique potentially dangerous but highly-useful abilities]] with it. He uses a variant of Eri's Rewind to stave off death in place of a proper HealingFactor, despite the potential risk of him having NoBodyLeftBehind.

* UndignifiedDeath: [[spoiler:Reduced to a normal-sized infant, screaming at Bakugo to stay away and launching a last ditch attack using his mother's keratin spike quirk. Then further regresses into a fetus, embryo, zygote, and finally nothing, all while screaming "no" and "hate" repeatedly.]]

** All For One doesn't seem to have much skill, if any, in hand-to-hand combat. As a result, the few melee attacks he actually makes tend to be huge power attacks with no real technique behind them. The one time he tried to go for a FinishingMove close-range was mainly a ploy to gambit All Might into using his remaining strength for him to reflect upon him with Impact Recoil, showing that All For One never fights up close unless he has some advantage he can press. When Endeavor grapples with him close-range, All For One's only response is to try and steal his Quirk rather than attack him, and once his hands are scorched, he has no response to answer to Endeavor incinerating him despite the former lacking an arm at that point. He mentally admits that his busted life-support mask means that [[WorfHadTheFlu his body is shutting down and won't respond to him anymore]], but it's still notable that he was unable to fight off an injured one-armed man despite his immense power. Even the [[WeakButSkilled Quirkless All Might]] makes a fool of him using PoweredArmour to fight close-range, whilst mocking how piss-poor his performance is for a "Demon Lord"
** To finally defeat his enemies at Gunga, All For One's frustration with his worsening situation eventually makes him hit a RageBreakingPoint that he then [[EmotionalPowers channels into his Quirks]] to overpower them. In contrast to [[SuperiorSuccessor Tomura]] having mastered ThePowerOfHate to precisely control Decay enough to avoid damaging targets nearby him even whilst crumbling a city to dust, All For One's own usage of the tactic comes down to self-detonating his limbs with massive amounts of force aimed vaguely at the heroes, being reliant on [[DevolutionDevice Rewind]] to make sure the damage isn't fatal to him, and he admits unfamiliarity with the feeling of pure anger, believing it to be a result of his PsychicLink to Tomura rather than an ability he could always use.

* VillainsNeverLie: As manipulative as he is, All For One prefers not to lie to anyone, even his enemies and ''especially'' if it concerns an AwfulTruth, simply out of delight with them trying to deny the awful revelations whilst he's being completely honest and forthright with them. When he tells All Might of Tomura's true lineage, the latter accuses him of lying, but All For One retorts that it is the truth and it is something he would do. Lady Nagant was convinced to aid him in capturing Izuku because of this, out of her sheer disillusionment with the Hero system after all the DirtyBusiness she performed over the years for it and sick of all the lies that were fed to the public, but unfortunately for her, 'doesn't lie' does not mean All For One still isn't manipulative, deceitful and callous towards others. However, if he's desperate, he will resort to [[BlatantLies bold-faced lies]] in order to keep any kind of advantage he can, such as denying that him stalling his charge towards Izuku will mean much even as it plays right into All might's hands.

** The Second Holder, Kudo, is a '''major''' one to him, to the point that his hatred towards him is even stronger than his animosity for [[ArchEnemy All Might]]. This is due to blaming Kudo for [[LivingEmotionalCrutch Yoichi's]] death, becuase he "stole" him from the safety of the vault All For One kept his brother in, leading to his AccidentalMurder when his sibling tried to reclaim him. Kudo's last words reminding All For One that ''he'' was the one who killed Yoichi, something he was in denial about, affected him so badly that he shed BerserkerTears immediately, and the mere thought of Kudo's existence pushes him straight into homicidal rage without any of his usual joviality with toying with his enemies. Both versions of All For one, being reminded of Kudo through [[IdenticalStranger Bakugo]], instantly snap into a furious attack on him to try and erase the vision of the one person he ''despises''.

* Yandere: A platonic, but no less disturbing, one for his brother, Yoichi. One for All considered his little brother the most prized possession life had gifted him, and, even though he abused and took everything from Yoichi, his desperate grip for his brother was so great that, after the villain killed his own brother in an impulsive act of jealous rage, he suffered the only real emotional devastation in his entire life. For nearly a century, All for One really only had a single drive keeping him going beyond death: stealing One for All, partially for its immense power, but ultimately to reclaim Yoichi. At the end of his life, when reduced to a baby, All for One admits to himself that, ultimately, he needs Yoichi, or else everything he's done and plans to do will be for nothing.

* HiddenVillain: He first appears talking through a computer screen up until later in the story, so for the first part, the audience won't know who he is, what he looks like, etc. just that he's plotting something with Shigaraki as his direct underling. He directly appears after the conflict with Stain, but he maintains himself ShroudedInMyth even then.

* HopeCrusher: He absolutely revels in destroying others' hopes and idealism about the world, at times seeming ecstatic at the chance to mentally destroy [[TheParagon Izuku]] both for the sake of his plans and just because he is ''that'' unbelievably [[EvilIsPetty spiteful]] towards what he sees as an illogical delusion that [[ThisIsReality has no place in reality]].He later espouses his opinion to Hawks that being this is the epitome of what defines a Villain, which is why he goes out of his way to invoke this with everybody he interacts with in ways large and small. It's {{Deconstructed}} however, as he demonstrates a pathological ''need'' to crush the hopes of people in general, especially those who have actually bruised his ego or whom he hates, letting his sense of pragmatism falter in the process. The heroes repeatedly exploit this against him, especially once he winds up on a RaceAgainstTheClock. Even when he knows what they're doing, All For one ''cannot'' resist the urge to delay his advance on Izuku unless he leaves his enemies broken and hopeless behind him.

* {{Hunk}}: When he rewinds further to his prime in Chapter 363, he is revealed to have a chiseled jaw and refined, almost beatific looks that complements his tall height and muscular physique. However, even with his good looks, his [[EmptyEyes dead eyes]] underscore the [[FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon monster]] that hides beneath his mask of humanity.
* {{Hypocrite}}:
** Befitting a man with absolutely no moral standards whatsoever, All For One will frequently mock others for their flaws and failings whilst showing worse traits himself, uncaring of his DoubleStandard so long as he [[BreakThemByTalking unsettles his opponent]]. He lambasts Endeavor for his mistreatment of his children, despite doing worse to Tenko, and whines at how "unfair" the heroes are making the fight after he's LuredIntoATrap despite him having pulled every dirty trick in the book to make his conflict with Izuku a one-sided affair for him.
** He denied Yoichi's statement that a hero would inevitably rise to defeat the "Demon Lord" he modelled himself after using his abilities, claiming that just because fantastical superpowers were now a part of reality, [[ThisIsReality it didn't mean that reality would follow the rules of a comic book]]. Yet his ranting throughout the FinalBattle indicates that he applied ''[[DoubleStandard the exact same logic]]'' to the "[[InvincibleVillain Demon Lord]]", [[CannotTellFictionFromReality genuinely believing that he was likewise invincible]] by becoming the character in actuality. Needless to say, as the fighting goes on, [[NotSoInvincibleAfterAll his own words come back to haunt him]] repeatedly.

* TakingYouWithMe: Zigzagged. After getting fatally wounded by Endeavor and reduced to a charcoal husk, All For One admits he's pretty much dead, but decides if he's dying anyway, he might as well 'try something out.' Namely, a copy of Eri's Rewind Quirk to restore himself and utterly destroy the heroes in battle. He flat out admits this will be fatal for his body regardless but aims to transfer his copied vestige into Tomura's to side-step his death in that regard as well.

* TheTapeKnewYouWouldSayThat: When the heroes raid the former hideout of the Creature Rejection Clan due to having been given vital information from Lady Nagant the heroes find themselves an empty mansion and a tape recording All For One left behind. The recording had him applaud Deku indirectly and mock him for his efforts in trying to save Lady Nagant meaning All For One knew and anticipated Izuku's actions enough to leave a recording for him. He lampshades in said recording that one of his favorite hobbies is [[IKnowYouKnowIknow predicting and accurately reading people well ahead of time]] and acting in accordance to make them dance to his tune, further underlying how outmatched Izuku is in trying to combat a foe who's ''infinitely'' more experienced and cunning than him in physical and psychological warfare.
* ThisCannotBe: A conversation with Hawks as well as his internal monologues implies that at his core, All For One is so narcissistic that he simply ''can't'' comprehend the possibility he might genuinely suffer an actual loss or set back, or bare to admit he did if there's some excuse he can make to avoid it. As such, his default reaction to ''any'' set back or loss he suffers is disbelief it could happen at all, causing a rapid-fire string of these to occur as the FinalBattle steadily turns against him, eventually falling into delusional denial of reality.

* {{Retgone}}: A {{Zigzagged}} case. He's forced to activate Eri's [[DevolutionDevice Rewind Quirk]] as an [[GodzillaThreshold emergency option]] when Endeavor fatally burns him, using its FountainOfYouth capabilities as a temporary HealingFactor and HourOfPower alongside his own lifespan, rewinding him to his prime years and preventing the heroes from physically killing him anymore. That said, his inability to ''control'' the power means he fully acknowledges the non-stop rewinding will be [[DeathByDeaging fatal]] for him regardless. Whilst his body is physically rewinding through his life, his prior actions aren't being erased from history. However, the narrative also makes the point that, thanks to his own selfish nature, they might as ''well'' be, as he's utterly failed at [[{{Unperson}} leaving a lasting legacy in the history books]] or through his 'successor'. When the Rewind energy erases him, it will be like he never existed at all.

* RuleOfSymbolism: His [[TheFaceless identity-obscuring injuries]] and [[{{Unperson}} lack of information about who he was an an individual]] ''before'' he became a villain, are symbolic of how his identity has been utterly consumed by the 'mask' of a super villain. The paneling of some artworks even goes out of the way to frame him in such a manner that [[AmbiguouslyHuman he doesn't appear to be human anymore]], and he intentionally wears a stylised CoolMask shaped like a blackened skull, referencing both his [[KnightOfCerebus shadowy threat level]] and how anybody could have become like him if they had the chance to, like he embodies the concept of evil in the hearts of all. However, as a significant portion of the FinalBattle is dedicated to steadily [[HumiliationConga tearing him off his high horse]], this becomes likewise undone. A combination of a fatal torching by Endeavor and him activating Eri's Rewind Quirk to survive ''forces'' him back into his original human identity, clad in rags and without any of the grandiose trappings he adorned himself with in preparation for his final victory, and the uncontrollable rewinding further reverts him back to his younger years. This showcases how he's reverting backwards from the 'Symbol of Evil' he crafted himself to be into the [[PsychopathicManchild childish true identity]] he tried to discard, as the fighting gradually proves how he's NotSoInvincibleAfterAll.

* CreateYourOwnHero: The final arcs make it clear that All For One has a ''very'' bad habit of doing this without recognising his mistakes from past experience.
** When he gave his brother the mediocre Power Stockpiling Quirk in an attempt to make his brother submit, it merged with his brother's then-unknown power-transfer Quirk, accidentally creating One For All.
** A {{Downplayed|Trope}} example occurs with Izuku. Izuku was ''already'' on the path to becoming the WorldsStrongestMan through One For All's ComboPlatterPowers, but All For One's ''obsession'' with absorbing his brother's quirk induced him to attempt to steal it as soon as Tomura awakened, resulting in [[NiceJobFixingItVillain Izuku's connection to the vestiges getting strengthened through their mental tug-of-war]]. In the aftermath, the vestiges can coach Izuku on how best to use their powers in tandem, resulting in his combat ability skyrocketing.
** It's later revealed that he even more indirectly did this with All Might himself. All For One delighted in the "Dark age of Quirks" he ruled over where people lived in fear of [[NothingIsScarier the unknown menace]] in society. All Might's flashback to his first meeting with Nana Shimura revealed that it was ''precisely'' because of this state of affairs that All Might wanted to become a HopeBringer in the first place, to save people from the oppression they lived under, eventually committing himself to undoing everything All For One created.

* OverdrawnAtTheBloodBank: Aware Stain was against him every since he escaped tartarus on his own terms, All For One held a few Quirks in reserve to counter his Quirk, should it ever be used against him. When Stain does successfully ambush him alongside All Might, he escapes through using his contingency to [[BloodFromEveryOrifice force all his paralysed blood out of his body]], leaving him briefly covered in his own blood. He mockingly thanks Stain for it, as he claims losing that much blood [[HotBlooded helped him to cool down]] and [[SanityHadAdvantages start thinking more clearly]].

** He genuinely believes that becoming a HatedByAll EvilOverlord will ensure he's recognized forever in history as an vile monster who stands at the apex of villainy. As pointed out in the FinalBattle by Inasa, while his reign is taught about in history, no one had ever even ''heard'' of All For One because no one ''wants'' to remember him, as there is no historical lessons to be gained from knowing about such a thoroughly self-centred individual. This thought seems to have never occured to All For One.

* PsychologicalProjection: It becomes clear by the endgame that a large number of the flaws he pointed out in Tomura are actually his own deep down. He's every bit the immature and a petulant child he accused Tomura of being, he's just much better at hiding it.
* PsychopathicManchild: Though more outwardly composed and dignified, All For One is even ''worse'' than Shigaraki in this regard, and it's apparent where the former's childishness in the beginning came from. His desire was to become a demon lord from an Isekai manga he read as a child and was so enamored with it, [[IRejectYourReality he ignored that the heroes triumphed in the end]]. Everything he's done since is living out his child fantasy, acting like a real-life comic book villain who can only be defeated by the protagonist. While he carries himself with a gentlemanly decorum, this is because he's grown accustomed to events proceeding as he intended and always working in his favor, and it's when things ''stop'' going his way that it becomes clear how much of a brat he really is. This is most prominent in the FinalBattle, when it's obvious he's no longer in control despite trying to stack everything in his favor, he throws a temper tantrum about how unfair it is that he can't use his "next me" body to its fullest potential, coming across as a petulant child than the DiabolicalMastermind he'd been for most of the story.

* ScarsAreForever: None of the regeneration Quirks he's obtained have been able to fix the massive injuries and scars inflicted upon him by All Might, because the wounds had already scarred up and stabilized before he'd gotten a Quirk powerful enough to fix them, and if he'd gotten the necessary Quirk while they were still fresh, they could have been fixed. When he's almost killed from Endevour's firepower, he counters his impending death by activating a variant of Eri's [[DevolutionDevice Rewind Quirk]], the first effect being his right eye and left ear regrowing from his charred husk of a body as he's de-aged years in seconds, back to a time before All Might ever scarred him.

** His flashback of his past with [[MoralityPet Yoichi]] demonstrates that he ''does'' possess some empathy towards his younger brother despite treating him as little more than his possession. However, his self-image as a being above "mere humans" and utter certainty that VirtueIsWeakness has him pathologically deny any kind of positive emotional connection to another, as that would reduce him from being the Demon Lord he's committed to embodying. This despite the fact that his brother's love and companionship is something he craves deeply, leading him to constantly reframe every slip-up he has that showcases this as an intentional manipulative tactic, like claiming he was crying BerserkerTears at Kubo merely to confuse him in his last moments, rather than being upset at missing his chance to reclaim "Yoichi".

* TargetedToHurtTheHero: This is his favorite tactic for inflicting psychological damage on his opponents. Nana Shimura, All Might and Izuku are the premier examples as he set up extensive scenarios purely for maximum psychological damage against them all personally. All Might even [[FlawExploitation counts on this]] to get close enough to use his [[StuffBlowingUp final support item]] on All For One after losing the battle, and whilst his nemesis counters this [[TaughtByExperience based on his past experience]], the extremely theatrical means he tried to execute All Might by bought enough time for Bakugo to rescue him regardless.

* TheUnapologetic: He knows he's evil and that everything he does causes death and destruction. [[EvilIsCool He just thinks it's really cool being the bad guy.]] He even goes the extra mile of flaunting this attitude and rubbing it in the faces of everybody who faces him, ''especially'' if they have personal beef with him, just to [[{{Troll}} upset them and get under their skin]]. He even gloats that he's so proud of his despicableness ''because'' it inspires [[HatedByAll rejection and animosity from others]], as he considers that the hallmark by which a successful villain is measured, and even expressed sincere worry when he mistakenly thought the vestiges who haunted his dreams were a sign that he ''could'' regret his actions.
* UncertainDoom: The vestige of himself containing his consciousness is viscerally ripped apart from within by Tomura when he re-asserts control over himself, leaving All For One's mental avatar in pieces. It's unclear if this violent takeover destroyed the vestige portion of All For One completely, but it certainly left it incapable of further controlling Tomura anymore. To a lesser extent, the original body of All For One ''exists'' in this state thanks to the combination of Eri's Rewind interacting with his [[LongLived extended lifespan]]. Not even he knows when his remaining time will run out and he will cease to exist, informing his haste to secure victory with his 'Next Me' before the inevitable happens.

* {{Unperson}}: Whilst initially he was presented as an [[NothingIsScarier unquantifiable figure of menace]] with unclear goals, powers and no stated personality beyond being Japan's old ShadowDictator seeking to make a comeback, as time goes on, the narrative gradually strips away the aura of grandeur he cultivates to reveal that behind the mask of the imposing villain, there's not much more to him. He has no 'normal' life or civilian identity outside that of a Supervillain, his original name is forgotten intentionally in place of his Quirk's, and his present-day enemies don't know anything about the fearsome figure he used to be, considering him an unwanted remnant of history obsessed with his GloryDays.
