Roundabout is a top down driving puzzle game... with a twist.

Roundabout follows the story of Georgio Manos, the world's first revolving limousine driver. Georgio must learn to navigate the perils of the luxury transport industry while driving a car that literally cannot stop spinning, including picking up passengers, making deliveries, nefarious French Canadians, and falling in love. All the cutscenes are all done as 70's B-movie style live action FMVs, consisting entirely of shots of Georgio in the front seat and separate shots of the passengers in the back.

----
!!This Work Provides Examples Of:
* AmphibiousAutomobile: An upgrade allows you to float the limousine in water and drive as normal and even make short dives underwater. Touching water without it equipped is instant death, however.
* AwesomenessMeter: Lampshaded. "Awesomeness Detection" can be turned on in the options menu... but it doesn't do anything.
* CollisionDamage: Touching virtually anything taller than the limo will inflict a point of damage.
* CosmeticAward: There are a large number of unlockable paint jobs, hats, and horns with no in-game effects.
* CoolCar: Georgio is drive a limousine that is constantly spinning in place and can make six foot vertical jumps.
* CrosscastRole: Georgio himself is played by a woman, but the games suggests that he is supposed to be considered male in-universe.
* DeathIsASlapOnTheWrist: There's no penalty for death, besides a second to respawn and getting sent back to your last checkpoint, and checkpoints are extremely frequent during missions, never setting you back more than a few seconds. Overworld checkpoints can be a bit more spread out, but you're still never very far from where you died.
* DrivesLikeCrazy: For starters, you're driving a spinning limo through the busy streets of Roundabout. Even beyond that, however, Georgio is encouraged to drive over pedestrians, disregard stop lights and lane markers, and go off-road.
* EveryCarIsAPinto: Or rather, every limousine. Dying to anything, whether you've crashed into one too many cars or fallen off a cliff into the sea, results in your limo exploding in a fiery ball. This happens to when you run him off the road as well.
* LevelMapDisplay: There is a full map of each area, stylized like a city street-map, that is displayed whenever you pause the game.
* PostProcessingVideoEffects: The whole game has a grainy, 70's video style film overlay.
* SilentProtagonist: Gregorio never speaks and is even specifically pointed out by the narrator to be talented at "communicating silently."
* TheRival: Renaldo, the world's second revolving limousine driver who challenges Georgio on several occasions.

!!Team Woona

Protagonist and "player character" of the story, a filly who was sent to the moon to protect her from Discord and to find the elements of harmony so that she and Celestia could defeat him for good. Along the way, she makes friends and learns valuable lessons about magic, underwater basket weaving, and origami.

----
!Tropes Associated With Woona:
* AgeAppropriateAngst: Woona really misses her sister; it doesn't come up often but when it does it's either adorable, when comforted by Echo, or terrifying, when she is tricked into revealing herself and Imogen to Exuvia. Either way, the reader feels really sorry for her.
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Blueblood keeps constantly outdoing her early on in the story, though this happens less and less as the plot progresses until he vanishes completely about half-way through.
* ChekhovsSkill: She takes time out in the moon observatory to study a book on underwater basket weaving. When she meets the Lunar Maria, she befriends them by weaving them all baskets. It come sup again at the end of the arc, when she defeats the sea monster by encasing it in a giant basket.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Woona has little in the way of practical magic and relies mostly upon her wits, awesome hat, and ability to befriend anything. Ultimately, the entire quest is about Woona learning the magic of friendship to use the Elements of Harmony.
* NiceHat: The Cartographer's Cap, the valuable treasure map Woona folds into a hat (among other things). She always wears it as a hat if she's not actively using it for something else.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: Big eyes, a tiny body, and a tendency to do everything in the cutest manner possible.

Two young bat pony brothers who accompany Woona on her adventures. She first encounters them in the caves under the observatory, where they have been separated from their colony. After an initial misunderstanding, Woona and the ponies work together to navigate the labyrinth and locate the bat pony colony.

In case you were wondering, Sunshine is the brother with the eye-patch, and Meadowlark is the one who likes to sing.
----
!Tropes Associated With Sunshine and Meadowlark:
* TheBusCameBack: Originally both bat ponies were intended to stay with the colony after Woona returns to the surface; however the characters proved so popular that they were brought back shortly thereafter.
* EquippableAlly: Played with. Woona attempts this early on with a command issued to "Equip the bat ponies." She wears one on her head and one as a scarf, so it's unclear what she intends to do with them, and it goes about as well as you might expect.
* IdenticalTwinIDTag: After getting a banana stuck in his eye, Woona patches up Sunshine and gives him an eyepatch. His eye is fine and he doesn't actually need it; he just likes the way it looks (and it provides an easy way to tell the two otherwise identical ponies apart). Even in the bonus epilogue comics, he's still shown wearing it.

(Temporarily) Disposed Queen of the Moon Changelings. Too young to perform anything but her ceremonial duties and helping keep the hive fed, she is overthrown by her regent just before meeting Woona. One of the most mature members of the group, Imogen is mostly concerned with the well-being of her hive, though she gives Woona all the help she can.

----
!Tropes Associated With Imogen:
* EmotionEater: She feeds off the love of her subjects. However, in turn they feed off her love for them, keeping the whole hive fed.
* OneHundredPercentAdorationRating: The Changeling's unconditional love for their queen and her love for them keeps the whole hive fed and alive; as such, their entire social structure revolves around having a beloved monarch.
* VoluntaryShapeshifter: Imogen can shape-shift into literally anything that is approximately the same size as her, including rocks, water, and other ponies. If her abilities have limits, we're not shown them.

[[folder:Danger [=McSteele=]]]
After saving the Lunar Maria, they give her a pendant to activate when she's in trouble. When she does so in the Changeling Arc, she summons Danger [=McSteele=] to aid her.

----
!Tropes Associated With Danger [=McSteele=]:
* AwesomeMcCoolname: All the Lunar Maria (except the queen) have one, and Danger [=McSteele=] is no exception. An ironic version, since he's not particularly daring or unusual.
* GracefulInTheirElement: Lunar Maria are fine in water, but on land they're next to useless. Woona finds this out the hard way when she summons Danger inside a jail cell and he falls flopping onto the ground.

A baby roc that hatches from an egg (uneggspectedly) that Dark Woona plants in place of one of the moon relics. It also causes magical explosions when in distress.

----
!Tropes Associated With Pebbl:
* EquippableAlly: When alarmed, it causes magical explosions. While more startling than damaging, they do serve to call in reinforcements.
* PickyEater: At the very least, it doesn't care much for asparagus, developing a permanent aversion to it early on. Science Woona claims Moon Rocs normally eat anything (up to and including ponies).

!!Allies

Queen of the Lunar Maria. Kind and understanding, she is initially very hospitable to Woona, though her patience is not infinite.

----
!Tropes Associated With Queen Serenity:
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: She is more than happy to help Woona on her quest, at least initially. Once Woona wins her over again she gives her the relic and informs her of the prophecy surrounding them.
* TheHighQueen: Beautiful, kind, and intellegent, she's well-loved by her subjects, and while it take some warming up to her she's generally (though not always) understanding of Woona's problems.

Leader of the bat pony colony and mother of Sunshine and Meadowlark. Extremely kind and gentle.

----
!Tropes Associated With Echo:
* GoodParents: While her mate is only seen once, Echo is seen to be an incredibly kind and supportive mother, even acting as a sort of surrogate mother to Woona for a brief time.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Echo is even more willing than Queen Serenity to help out and even goes out of her way to make sure Woona is aided, even sending her own beloved sons to help her.

Moonitaurs that live in the underground labyrinth.

Ziggy's the mother, Stardust is the minitaur.

----
!Tropes Associated With Ziggy and Stardust:
* MamaBear: Ziggy. As Woona discovers after encountering the minitaur, moonitaurs are very protective of their young.

Giant birds that live on the moon. After Woona accidentally hatches Pebbl, two of them come after her to try to reclaim their child. Afterwards, Woona travels to meet the two head Rocs to ask to use the moon relic.
----
!Tropes Associated With the Rocs:
* GiantFlyer: The Rocs are huge, easily the size of a building.
* MamaBear: To Pebbl. After the roc hatches both parents chase after the energy explosions caused by the little roc, attacking and destroying anything there in an attempt to find their child.

Princess of Equestria and Woona's older sister. She sent Woona away from Equestria to protect her, but

----
!Tropes Associated With Celestia:
* BigSisterInstinct: Celestia sends her sister away in order to protect her from harm, drawing the main attention of the BigBad to herself. She'll still step in herself if Woona is struggling, sending her a blanket to comfort her at one point and stepping in personally when Woona is in grave danger from Discord.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Discord implies that Celestia undertook a similar sort of quest in Equestria, though she was fighting against discord himself rather than a mere puppet.
----

!!Enemies

Also known by fan nickname Nightmare Woon, she is an incarnation of Woona that jumped into space in panel 3. Following the restart, she returns to enact revenge upon Woona and all the inhabitants of the Moon.

It is later revealed that she was a literal puppet of Discord, sent to distract Woona from her quest for the elements and attempts to secure some of the elements for herself.

----
!Tropes Associated With Dark Woona:
* BigBad: Serves as this for most of the story. Virtually every major challenge Team Woona faces to due to her direct intervention.
* TheComicallySerious: Dark Woona is seen as being humorous of her own accord only once, and occasionally plays straight man to Team Woona.
* DragonInChief: Dark Woona was merely a puppet sent out by Discord, but since he doesn't appear until the end, she serves as the BigBad for most of it.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: Dark Woona was just another version of Woona, before she jumped off into space and circled the moon. When she comes back, it's with far more abilities, magic, and cunning than Woona herself has.
* VileVillainSaccharineShow: When Dark Woona comes around things tend to get deadly serious. Two major colonies of moon residents were endangered by her actions, and the Lunar Maria could have been completely exterminated.

Constant foil to Woona early on, despite never actually appearing on screen, Blueblood seems to have perpetually gotten to everything important on the moon before Woona does.

----
!Tropes Associated With Blueblood:
* TheGhost: Blueblood himself never appears in any panel, though Imogen impersonates him at one point and he leaves a fair amount of evidence of his prior presence in the first arcs.

Queen of the Changelings, later revealed to be regent who took over the hive using one of the Moon Relics. Somewhat wackier in tone than Dark Woona and Discord, she is seen to be humorous of her own accord several times, particularly following her defeat.

----
!Tropes Associated With Exuvia:
* ArcVillain: Exuvia replaces Dark Woona as the main villain for the changeling arc, even playing antagonist to Dark Woona herself, but is not mentioned outside it.
* GodSaveUsFromTheQueen: After Woona depowers her and her hive-wide brainwashing wears off, the Changelings reveal she was a pretty awful queen and most of them hated her.
* RegentForLife: She is regent to Imogen prior to the story, and just before the beginning of the Changeling arc she has managed to overthrow her.

TheManBehindTheMan of Dark Woona, and the reason Woona's been sent to the moon to find the Elements of Harmony. As Discord wrecked havoc in Equestria, he fought with the royal sisters and Celestia sent Woona away to be safe from him.

Takes over the narration during the final arc.

----
!Tropes Associated with Discord:
* KnightOfCerebus: While Dark Woona was not exactly a bumbling villain, Discord's direct involvement in the story signals a much darker series of events than had been seen in any villain conflict up to that point.
* NietzscheWannabe: He insists that love and friendship do not exist, and harmony is just "a sad unnatural lie made by sad little ponies", and that everything is just chaos.
* TheManBehindTheMan: Dark Woona is simply a puppet created by Discord to disrupt Woona's attempts to find the moon relics.
* WeWillMeetAgain: Gives a speech to this effect to Woona and Celestia right before being turned to stone.
* VileVillainSaccharineShow: Even more so than his puppet Dark Woona, Discord delights in torturing Woona and is not hesitant to attempt to flat out murder the sisters when given a chance.
* VillainousBreakdown:
** Discord completely loses it (via narration) when Woona just won't give up while fighting Dark Woona.
** He then again loses it when Woona is finally able to use the Relics with The Power of Friendship, going completely berserk.

!!Others

A alternate version of Woona that is often called upon to explain the illogical elements of life on the moon or simply HandWave an element where approriate. She is always pictured wearing a lab coat and glasses, and sitting at her desk in a science lab.

----
!Ask Science Woona About Tropes:
* OptOut: Frustated with people asking for her explanation of everything, Science Woona eventually clocks out and goes home, not to be seen for the rest of the comic.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: Unlike Woona, Science Woona wears a pair of glasses to indicate her very sciency smartness.

Star of the AprilFoolsDay joke Average Woona Adventures, an average spin-off blog about a perfectly average office worker going about her average day.

----
!Tropes Associated With Average Woona:
* AllJustADream: Average Woona herself is implied to be nothing more than a nightmare Woona has on April Fools Day.

A background joke character conceived during a livestream after an attempt at drawing a pony went horribly wrong, Tim doesn't undertake any actions that have effect on the narrative of the main Moonstuck comic, but he does appear briefly in Average Woona Adventures as Woona's manager. He makes frequent background cameos throughout both comics.
----
!Tropes Associated With Tim:
* AllThereInTheManual: He's a sphinx, a fact that is only mentioned on Egophiliac's blog and his own personal Ask Blog.
* TheCameo: Perpetually. He never engages directly with Woona (with the one exception being an onscreen appearance in Average Woona Adventures) appearing only in the backgrounds of scenes.

She'll still step in herself if Woona is struggling, sending her a blanket to comfort her at one point and stepping in personally when Woona is in grave danger from Discord.\n* HeroOfAnotherStory: Discord implies that Celestia undertook a similar sort of quest in Equestria, though she was fighting against discord himself rather than a mere puppet.\n----\n\n!!Enemies\n\nAlso known by fan nickname Nightmare Woon, she is an incarnation of Woona that jumped into space in panel 3. TheHero of the story,

There's
a filly who was sent to the moon to protect her from Discord and to find the elements of harmony so that she and Celestia could defeat him for good. Along the trope in here somewhere, but it may take some refining. Either way, she makes friends and learns valuable lessons about magic, underwater basket weaving, and origami.here goes. Inspired by the subtitles YKTTW, but this is not that.

Added DiffLines:

Modern video games can do amazing things within the game engines, and developers have taken advantage of that. Ordinary conversations can be brought to life by showing characters acting normally through the conversation, using the game engine to give a short cutscene of the event. Whether a casual conversation with an UnluckyChildhoodFriend or a dramatic show down with the BigBad, characters can confront their companions in full motion... one button press at a time.

Sometimes, that entire dramatic scene is played out through written dialogue boxes, advanced one a a time by the player. Sometimes the character will give some VoiceGrunting and then stand still until their next line. Other times they'll move their mouths randomly or wave their arms until the next
