* AcidAttack: She has this as her Quirk, and can use it like her canon counterpart for both shielding ranged and melee attacks. However, she acknowledges that it, like all other Quirks, has its own limits, and thus she often resorts to other techniques to help win battles.
* AdaptationalJerkass: Unlike her canon counterpart who is a straight-up NiceGirl, Mina here is somewhat more of a jerk, as she often is arrogant, bitter, harsh and blunt, and doesn't mince words when dishing out criticisms to friend or foe alike. However, she means well and is otherwise generally affable.
* AntiHero: Although she's a jerk and isn't afraid to fight dirty, she retains the strong moral compass of her canon counterpart.
* ArrogantKungFuGirl: She's the most knowledgeable and skilled in her class about battle techniques, and isn't afraid to boast about these skills.
* BookDumb: Like her canon counterpart, she is lacking in comparison to her friends when it comes to overall intelligence. ''Unlike'' her canon counterpart, however, she ''deeply'' resents this fact and does everything she can to [[DefiedTrope defy it]], including studying overtime and taking classwork seriously, to the point that she often only lags behind in math and physics.
