His name is "Amosis" not "Asmosis"

* TheChampion: Aldrich is this for the New Way with Ashmaw being a close second as the two most powerful members. Asmosis eventually takes this role for the Thirty. [[spoiler: Varus is also this for Nova Roma.]]

Added DiffLines:

* TheHeart: Rabbit's role on the New Way's council. He tends to point out the moral implications of some of the darker things that come up which is often enough to get the rest of the council to stop and at least to consider other options.

Added DiffLines:

* MoralityPet: Rabbit is this to Aldrich being his oldest, most trusted friend.

Added DiffLines:

* BlessedWithSuck: Baraggan is essentially the Avatar of Entropy. This makes him extremely powerful even for a Vasto Lorde, possibly one of the strongest period and yet many others note his own power damns him to defeat as you can't embrace the inevitability of ending without one day falling to it yourself.
-->'''Kershan''': "...you took entropy into your heart, and made it part of your very soul. What did you think would happen? That you would wield it, and be untouched? That’s not how this works. No Vasto is untouched by what they champion."

* BrokenAce: Stark. He's an incredibly powerful Hollow and one of the strongest Vasto Lorde shown, but he seems to fail at literally everything he does.

Added DiffLines:

* KiManipulation: While called Spiritual Pressure (or just Pressure) in Bleach, it functions as this. The stronger a person is the more Pressure they exude when fighting and this force can literally immobilize people weaker then them if they don't keep their power contained. It's also used in attacks and weakens as someone takes damage or expends energy. Some fighters, most notably Aldrich and Stark, specialize in using it as a weapon allowing them to affect even extremely powerful people and can actually kill weaker enemies with their mere presence.

Added DiffLines:

* ShapingYourAttacks: Part of Aldrich's power set [[spoiler:after evolving to Vasto Lorde]] allows him to project his Pressure as invisible limbs to either grapple or just pulverize targets from a distance.

Added DiffLines:

* TheBlank: Aldrich has been this in every stage of his evolution. His mask has always been a blank, eyeless plate. Notably this means he's blind and perceives the world around him through [[SupernaturalSensitivity Pressure.]] His Mask can crack open to let him use his mouth and this tends to disturb anyone who sees it for the first time.

Added DiffLines:

* Doorstopper: Currently over two million words and shows no signs of stopping. It's one of the longest running and biggest written fictions ever.
* EvilSorcerer: While not strictly evil, Aldrich counts. Unlike most Hollow magic users though, Aldrich actually uses both Hollow magic and Witchcraft.

Added DiffLines:

* JerkassGods: The White, Black, and Grey Lords all suck for various reasons. Ultimately, they all ended up getting sealed away (by their own followers in the White and Black Lords cases). Nobody that finds out about their existence wants them to return.
* MoreDakka: Aldrich's personalized Cero is more or less a rapic fire barrage of extremely powerful tiny Ceros. It's dealt devastating damage to pretty much everything he's hit it with including other Vasto Lordes and equivalents.

Added DiffLines:

* TheSlenderManMythos: Aldrich is an expy of big slim himself and has kept the characteristic faceless mask through all his forms.

Added DiffLines:

* AnthropomorphicPersonification: Essentially what a Vasto Lorde is. They follow a concept or ideal so completely that it becomes a central part of who they are. In the end they become personifications of their ideology. Hollows call this a Path and it is necessary to reach Vasto Lorde.
** Known examples include: Adlrich himself is Growth. Ashmaw is War. Barragan is Entropy. Stark is Loneliness. Engranight ''might'' be Power.

Added DiffLines:

* EvilutionaryBiologist: Ereshkigal is the Hollow version of one.

Added DiffLines:

* FounderOfTheKingdom: Aldrich, though unlike most examples he's more of a "First Among Equals" sort and rules with a council. Ultimately his opinion tends to be more heavily respected, but he never decides anything alone. It helps that he's also a ReasonableAuthorityFigure.

Added DiffLines:

* MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: Rabbit hates being a Hollow, but isn't willing to die. This causes him a great deal of stress as he tries to balance being a monster while still trying to be moral person. [[spoiler:Eventually, he finds his balance and becomes the only natural Arrancar shown in the story so far.]]

Added DiffLines:

* OutsideContextProblem: Several times Aldrich has run into creatures that don't really fit any definition of normalcy even for the spiritual world. Many of these creatures are very, very old Hollows who existed for so long that they've become something else completely. Their powers, abilities, and mindsets are often extremely alien.
* TheAlliance: Despite being Hollows the New Way is this and is even led by a Council rather then a singular leader.

Added DiffLines:

* SemiDivine: The easiest way to describe Pseudo-Vastos. These are Hollows just on the edge of evolving to the final stage and they are notably more powerful then your average Adjuchas.

* TheAce: Vasto Lorde in general are this, but even amongst them their are extreme powerhouses. Aldrich, Baraggan, and Stark are probably the biggest examples.

Added DiffLines:

* BloodKnight: Ashmaw, so much so that his Path is one of War itself.

Added DiffLines:

* FirstOfItsKind: Being this gives a creature special weight and every single "First of" anything shown has been overwhelmingly powerful. Of significance is Ragnar The First True Hollow, Engranight The First Vasto Lorde, Ulquiorra The First Ascended Arrancar.
* ForgingScene: THere have been several since Aldrich has learned how to make Soul Metal blades, but the most important was his creation of Sutomukora, a Hollow Zanpakutō.
* FriendlyEnemy: Aldrich has respected several of his enemies a great deal. The list includes Grax, Ukitake, Ragnar, and more recently Baraggan. All of these opponents have also shown their own admiration for Aldrich in some form. [[spoiler:Grax and Ukitake are also the only two enemies he's killed in his life that Aldrich actually mourns.]]
* GoneHorriblyRight: One enemy has the power to pull the souls of a Hollows victims out of them. Most of these souls are less then pleased to see their killer and attack the Hollow they were just pulled from. This ability backfires spectacularly when used on Aldrich as the power pulls out [[FriendlyEnemy Grax.]]

Added DiffLines:

* OldMaster: The Old One, last surviving member of the Thirty and one of the very few living Hollows that know magic.
* TheDragon: Rabbit is this to Aldrich and has been since the two met literally years ago.

''A Destiny of Strife, a Hollow's Quest (Bleach)'' is a quest made by Talos on Sufficient Velocity where you take control of a newly birthed Hollow, born from a trapped Soul who met with a horrible fate.

Hollows are corrupt spirits with supernatural powers which devour the souls of both living and deceased Humans. The world around you is strange, both new and distorted. You're hungry, and alone. But you are not the only predator in this city. You must hunt down those weaker than you, and feed to sate your hunger, you must control your powers, and master your abilities. Enemies surround you – spiritually aware humans, fellow Hollows, and even perhaps a Soul Reaper...

Defeat and destruction are all around, and the only way to offset them is with your wit, your skill, and your power.

The quest can be found [[https://forums.sufficientvelocity.com/threads/a-destiny-of-strife-a-hollows-quest-bleach.29076/ here]].

!!''A Destiny of Strife'' provides examples of:
* BackFromTheDead: A noted tendency within the game. The author generally likes to bring back established characters, even if they were somewhat dead before. Though, to compensate, he does tend to lay the groundwork ahead of time (Sometimes before they even die in the first place.)
* CuriosityKilledTheCast: Subverted as Aldrich, then known as Thinman, decided to eat a tree branch out of curiosity. It didn't end well, but he just managed to survive. People are still angry at that moment to this day.
* ImHavingSoulPains: The process of becoming a Hollow involves the soul being twisted and mutilated, a process so painful that the soul's owner is almost driven mad from the pain.
* RubberMan: Alrich's limbs can be extended and warped at will. He is able to use this to stretch his legs and traverse over the tops of buildings with ease.
* TalkingIsAFreeAction: Like the source material, most fights will sometimes have the fighters stop killing each other for a brief moment to discuss their ideals. Painfully averted during the battle with [[CombatPragmatist Amihan]].
* VisionaryVillain: Aldrich himself, who aspires to create a New Way for all Hollows and make a legacy. While he's not exactly villainous, he's far from a good guy.
* WhiteMaskOfDoom: Like in the source material, people that have had their soul ravaged and become Hollows are adorned with a white mask. When he becomes a Hollow, Aldrich gains a blank white mask that opens into a jagged maw when he eats. The complete lack of features is enough to even disturb fellow Hollows.
