To pass the time, Swerve blames Sunstreaker for everything, given the egotistical 'bot was the one piloting the ship. Sunstreaker maintains he was caught off guard by something on the radar screen. Perceptor, who was also on-board, tries to console the two by pointing out neither of them were melted into the ceiling (or more accurately, the floor). Hoist tries contacting the Lost Light, but doesn't get any response [[Recap/TransformersSpotlightTrailcutter for some reason]]. So Swerve goes back to needling Sunstreaker, before asking about Bob, and what he turns into. Which is nothing. When Sunstreaker tries to claim Bob will fight Tarn if he appears, Swerve retorts Tarn will likely kill them. Sunstreaker taunts Swerve about being a coward, before Swerve states that apart from Tarn and the D.J.D., his greatest fears include Megatron, Overlord, Sixshot, Shockwave and some combined version of all free, which he regards as a matter of time, what with the Decepticon's obsession with combining and all.

As he finishes the story, Hoist notices something: Swerve's leaking, and badly. His incessant chatter was Swerve distracting everyone, and himself, from the fact that his spark casing is ruptured. Hoist is adamant they find a way off planet, but Swerve doesn't want anyone risking their life for him.

him. At which point Swerve screams in pain. Sunstreaker points out that neither he or Hoist have any weapons. A few minutes later, and the engineer has managed to scrounge up a few for them.

The two set out into the forest. As Sunstreaker notes he didn't say goodbye to Bob, Tarn appears, quickly and quietely overwhelming Sunstreaker. Hoist, hearing the sound of gunfire hurries to Sunstreaker's position, only to find Megatron, Shockwave, Overlord and Sixshot are there. Before he can finish asking how that's possible, they combine. Despite Hoist's efforts, he too is overpowered by the combined creature, but as it prepares to crush him... it vanishes.

A panicked Hoist rushes back to the shuttle, where Perceptor tells him the Lost Light has responded, having solved the problem they were dealing with. Good thing, too, since Swerve has just passed out. As Hoist tells him about the Decepticon combiner vanishing, Perceptor comes to a conclusion: the planet is defended by a Phobia Shield! Which according to Perceptor is a Galactic Council invention, designed to defend planets from marauding Cybertronians, which explains why the Decepticons never settled properly, the shield drove them off. With Swerve and Sunstreaker out, the shield will focus on one of them... at which point the ground shakes. Hoist rushes outside to see Perceptor was wrong, having forgotten about someone: Bob, who being the last survivor of Metroplex's purge of the Insecticon Swarm, has summoned the giant.

Hurrying, Hoist drags Swerve and Perceptor out of the ship, as "Metroplex" crushes it. He runs to the edge of a nearby cliff, and once over it, knocks Perceptor out. That just leaves Bob, who is handily right in front of him. With Bob down for the count, the Metroplex illusion fades away, leaving Hoist the only conscious being on the planet
Alone.

!!Tropes:

* CallBack:
** Sunstreaker brings up his attempted HeroicSacrifice in ComicBook/AllHailMegatron, and Bob surviving Metroplex's attack during the ''Ironhide'' miniseries.
** The shuttle that collided with Hoist's, thus resulting in his fear of being alone, was the one from ''Spotlight: Orion Pax''.
* CombiningMecha: Swerve calls out the Decepticon's fondness for this.
-->''Decepticons are'' obsessed ''with combining. Put two of them in a room and in seconds one of them will be standing on the other's shoulders.''
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: Perceptor, on account of the shuttle's heat coils melting his legs.
* MeaningfulName: Deimus is just one letter removed from Deimos, the Ancient Greek god of fear.
* {{Motormouth}}: Swerve, as per usual. In this instance, it's slightly justified by his being badly hurt.
* SecretlyDying: Swerve
* ShoutOut:
** The name of the bridge Sunstreaker blew up? The Juda's Bridge. [[SarcasmMode Subtle]].
** The idea of a moon reacting to a visitor's mindscape, and Hoist's solution to the problem being to knock everyone out, come from two separate episodes of ''Series/RedDwarf''

'''Release:'''

On the planet Deimus, Hoist is running for his life, from Tarn. With some successful manoeuvring, and the use of the terrain, he manages to get away from the Decepticon, fleeing to an Autobot shuttle, which has crashed. Upside down. Inside are Swerve, Sunstreaker, Bob. As Swerve and Sunstreaker bicker, Hoist rushes past and turns on the emergency cloaking device, before informing the others about his run in with the D.J.D.'s leader, something that actually causes ''Swerve'' to be speechless. Hoist, for the record, has no idea where Tarn came from, according to him he just appeared suddenly. Fortunately, the ship's cloaking device will keep them safe... until the power runs out, obviously, in about six hours.

Four hours pass, and Swerve still doesn't shut up. Sunstreaker, apparently the victim of his taunting, asks why he doesn't pick at Hoist. So Swerve explains that he can't. He doesn't know a thing about Hoist other than the fact that he's green, and he's got a tow-line. Hoist takes offense at this, saying the real reason Swerve can't get a handle on him is because unlike near everyone else on the Lost Light, Hoist is normal, and ordinary and sane.

With one hour left, Sunstreaker tries to console himself by pointing out he's been in worse scrapes, like the time he was blown to pieces. Swerve is less than sympathetic toward him for this, before asking Hoist if he has any near-death experiences he wants to share. Hoist doesn't, and Swerve respects that...

For all of five seconds. With great reluctance, and the understanding that it will not actually stop Swerve talking, Hoist recounts an incident. Four million years ago, Hoist was on-board a commuter ship flying over the Rust Spot on Cybertron, the ship's captain having decided to save time by taking a different route, when another shuttle came out of nowhere and collided into it. The ship crashed, with Hoist the only survivor. After waiting for a rescue, he decided to walk back to civilisation, walking and walking until his legs gave out, which left him with the terrible feeling he was going to die there.
