The Fat Controller gives Duck his own branch line after Duck's hard work in the yard. Unfortunately, he gets too confident about his responsibility. This made Donald lose his patience and tells him he "quacks" like a duck laying an egg. Duck is furious of the insult and asks his crew to put a duckling in Donald's tank to pay him out. Donald becomes attached to the duckling, but she grows tired of traveling and jumps ship at Tidmouth Hault. Planning one last trick, Donald's crew place an egg in a box underneath Duck's bunker, but Donald wakes up and was already aware of it. Duck relents and knew Donald was too clever to fool. In the end, the duckling now lives nearby a station and the stationmaster names her Dilly, but to everyone else, she is always known as Donald's Duck.
