Barlet has had insomnia for five nights following the Iowa Caucuses, causing Josh to call Dr. Stanley Keyworth (the same psychiatrist who helped Josh in "Noel") to come in and speak with the President. C.J. works to try and get a White House reporter released from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Toby clashes with his ex-wife over a U.N. speech addressing Islamic terrorism, and Sam is accused of sexual harassment by an intern and Ainsley comes to his defense.
