* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** The family's initial plan is to invoke LoopholeAbuse, merely using the Waverly address to get their kids in the school. Unfortunately, so many have tried that, they're forced to actually live there when they're informed an inspector will come by to inspect for exactly that.
** It's unlikely a popular singer would sympathize for a kid who pretends to be their friend in order to get popular at school. Appart for the recording, the result was predictable.

* ButNotTooChallenging: Lisa learns her high grades at Springfield Elementary were in part due to the more lax standards. While she superficially does want a challenge, her own self-esteem takes a blow (in conjunction with having even fewer friends).

While desperately searching for a bathroom during her morning jog, Marge discovers how low-rent Springfield Elementary School really is and moves Bart and Lisa to Elementary by having Homer rent an apartment there so the city inspector of Waverly Hills (who cracks down on out-of-towners who only register for a Waverly Hills address so they can send their kids to that town's school) does not get suspicious. Meanwhile, Bart helps Lisa become popular by telling others that Lisa is friends with a teenage pop star named Alaska Nebraska.

* LoopholeAbuse: Subverted. The initial plan for the family is to simply use the address to get the kids into the Waverly school. Unfortunately, the city has an inspector ready to check for exactly that reason; they were ''not'' the first ones to try that, and are actually ''forced'' to live there as a result.

* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Lisa is willing to embrace the new opportunities Waverly Hills Elementary brings. Unfortunately, it never occurs to her she was a NormalFishInATinyPond, and thus, she will actually be ''challenged'' intellectually.

** In the B-plot, Marge begins to visit Homer at the tiny apartment they bought to allow their kids to attend the school, where he's awaiting an inspector, and they attend a party with the college students in the building where they jokingly play-act a youthful flirtation. From there the story turns into a simulacrum of the development of a relationship: he gives her a key to the apartment in the manner of a WackyMarriageProposal, she distresses him by making over the place to look more adult, and, when Bart and Lisa confess they want out of the new school, they finally decide to give up their "love nest" and move to a house in the suburbs (the one where they already live).

This has happened enough times that her speech in response to Lisa's plea turns out to have been [[CrazyPrepared pre-recorded and lip-synced]].

Realistic, but not surprising (and also redundant to the Loophole Abuse example). "X. Nuff said" is not an example on its own.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: The family's plan is to merely buy the house and just use the ''address'' to get their kids into their school district. It's immediately pointed out this is '''not''' the first time somebody tried this type of LoopholeAbuse, and they're quickly forced to find whatever they can afford when it's revealed an inspector will come in to verify they live there for exactly that reason.

** Likewise, it's not even the first time Lisa's know-it-all tendencies have been shown to be her merely being a big fish in a small pond, or that she [[AesopAmnesia immediately forgets about this.]]
** Bart at least was savvy enough to immediately establish himself as the "bad boy" by agreeing to go to Ralph's birthday party if his father Clancy would come in to "arrest" him to provide an alibi for the kids. When he forgets, Clancy immediately begins to arrest him ''for real'', which makes sense considering he's ''his son'' and Clancy would no doubt be none too pleased that he had to ''bribe'' him to come.
