Added DiffLines:

* DeliberatelyMonochrome: Two of the three movies are in black and white; Eve and Flynn's final kiss which ends the episode is also shot in black and white.

Added DiffLines:

* ImMrFuturePopCultureReference: When Flynn has to come up with pseudonyms, he claims that he and Eve are Dr. [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_Erving Julius Erving]] and Music/LadyGaga.

Added DiffLines:

* PrivateEyeMonologue: ''The Lost, The Found, and the Looking'' starts with one. Eve annoys the rest of the audience by reciting it.

* FeelNoPain: Played straight in the original noir film, where the private detective casually takes his assistant pulling a bullet from his arm without a peep. Averted hard once it's Flynn, who has to allow Eve to pull the bullet out. He can barely sit still and has a hard time saying the required line, "Baby, I'm not even ticklish."

** The maker of the films [[spoiler:didn't actually write the scripts, his young black assistant/girlfriend did]].
** The current owner of the theater (the maker's daughter) [[spoiler:is also the daughter of the above-mentioned black woman, who is seen several times as an old movie buff]].

During downtime, Eve and Flynn go to a revival screening of an old film. As the film starts, there's a flash, and they find themselves stuck on the other side of the screen, in black-and-white, as the lead characters. In order to escape, they have to enact all the scenes of the movie, and, fortunately, Eve knows it by heart. Unfortunately, this version of the movie seems to have a different ending than expected.

!! Tropes

* TheCastShowoff: Christian Kane shows off his guitar and singing skills, while the Librarians are in the western film.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: Jacob, Cassie, and Ezekiel display them in the western film, able to effortlessly hit a hangman's rope and BlastingItOutOfTheirHands.
* LargeHam: The BigBad of the RaygunGothic film, having clearly taken pointers from [[Series/StarTrekVoyager Doctor Chaotica]].
* RaygunGothic: The sci-fi movie the Librarians end up in after escaping the western. Specifically, they end up on the bridge of a rocketship belonging to the film's BigBad. Luckily, Cassandra has seen the movie and is able to bluff her way out. Interestingly, while the movie is in black-and-white, the Librarians are in color (although faded western-themed color), as they have just come in from a western film. They're also wearing their cowboy costumes, although they also somehow end up with spacesuit helmets on their heads.
* TheReveal: Several.
** The maker of the films [[spoiler:didn't actually write the scripts, his young black assistant/girlfriend did]].
** The current owner of the theater (the maker's daughter) [[spoiler:is also the daughter of the above-mentioned black woman, who is seen several times as an old movie buff]].
* TrappedInTVLand: Eve and Flynn end up stuck in ''The Lost, The Found, and the Looking'', an old black-and-white noir film. When trying to help them, Jacob, Cassie, and Ezekiel end up in the wrong films: first a western, and then a sci-fi movie.
* TheWestern: Jacob, Cassie, and Ezekiel find themselves in one instead of the noir film. Jacob and Ezekiel are about to be hanged, when Cassie appears and rescues them with her ImprobableAimingSkills. Jacob finds he enjoys the setting and even sings a song by the campfire.
* WriteWhatYouKnow: The original script to the noir film mirrors the writer's own experiences. [[spoiler:The director changed the ending and turned the sympathetic victim into a FemmeFatale]].
