Kupitman has some "guest from the past" -- a woman who calls herself Rimma Arnoldowna. Once Kupitman hears this name, he immediately panics and runs like a wind, screaming. It seems that something bad had happened between them in the past -- something involving Rimma shooting Kupitman with a rifle. Kupitman locks himself in his office, along with Phil. Bykov orders Phil to let him in, after which he explains the whole story of Kupitman's uneasy relationship with Rimma. Kupitman was her most trusted underling and protege... but he chose to betray her, leading to her being fired, with him taking her place, about which he gloated to her face. This culminated in her shooting him in the ass with a hunting rifle. Phil loses any support he had for Kupitman, and agrees with Bykov that Kupitman must face Rimma and learn what she wants. Unknowingly to Kupitman (but knowingly to Bykov), she is here to brag: thanks to Kupitman kicking her out of this hospital, she now has a new, much better life in Germany, while he is old, ugly and lonely alcoholic; as she puts it, "he claimed her fate for himself", only to find out that it was not pretty, and she's actually thankful to him for this. Kupitman still refuses to leave his office, thinking that she's probably after money, which he can afford to spare... but then Rimma comes in by herself, and Kupitman immediately panics, trying to rush out... only for her to reveal her real motives and offer to hug him. Kupitman has nothing to say to her, and quietly accepts.

Kisegach still can't spit out the information about her pregnancy to either her mother or her son (who can deliver it to Marina instead of her). She asks Lobanov for help in her office, and right at that moment Bykov arrives to suggest another way they can tell Gleb about his mother's pregnancy. Now Lobanov is aware of the whole situation... and can be used to deliver that information. Meanwhile, Varya learns that Olga is pregnant, likely from Semyon. Since him not wanting children was one of the reasons for breakup, instead of telling right away, they should carefully investigate what he thinks about it now. Olga asks Gelb to talk to Lobanov, delicately interrogate him and, if all is fine, tell him about Olya's pregnancy. Both Lobanov and Romanenko considers that the best way to deliver their news to each other is through the use of alcohol. After spending some time drinking and discussing children, now wasted Gleb tells Semyon about Olga as is... which shocks him so much, he can only quietly leave, without telling his part. Now drunk Gleb comes to his mother (who called him to learn how he reacted to the news, being unaware that Semyon failed to deliver them), and, to her and Bykov's surprise, he reacts very positively. Bykov suspects that something must be wrong, and surely, once Semyon calls Gleb and actually tells him the truth, Gleb rushes back, very angry.

* AssholeVictim: Once we learn circumstances under which Kupitman was shot (in the ass, by the way), any sympathy he has left is now gone. Not even Bykov is on Kupitman's side in this situation, and Phil now has worse opinion about him... even worse.
* BestServedCold: Subveted. Kupitman thinks this is reason why Rimma Arnoldowna returned after ten years: to finish what she started. In fact, she is her to gloat about her new (much better). Though Bykov still tell Kupitman what his fears are correct, and what she's here because he ruined her life, to force Kupitman to face Rimma and apology.
* CantSpitItOut: Since Kisegach is too afraid to face her mother, Bykov suggested to tell everything to Gleb (since Gleb would rat them out to Marina anyway). Unfortunately, Anastasia already tried this... and failed, because she just can't spit it out to him, either, wasting up to five minutes quietly sitting near. After this, Bykov suggested to do it by himself, but Kisegach refused, knowing well Troll how Bykov Jerkass would to this.
* DramaticIrony: Kisegach thinks what Gleb's drunk joy is about her pregnancy, and feels great relief because of this. Unknowingly to her, this joy due to Olga's pregnancy which he discussed with Semyon earlier (which is why he's currently drunk). Bykov suspected what theres something wrong right from the beginning, and surely, immediately once Semyon called him and tell the truth, Gleb rushed back, very angry at them both.
* HairTriggerTemper: According to Olga, Semyon's reaction to divorce was to throw his chair into the window. Knowing Lobanov, it's not hard to believe in (especially since we already seen him throwing chair into glass door once).
* IWasQuiteALooker: Young Kupitman was dark and handsome. Current more resembles grey-haired old poodle.
* JustJokingJustification: Bykov's second plan how to tell Gleb about his mother's pregnancy (first one was too blatantly tell as is) is to tell right away and watch how he would react; if too negatively, tell what Bykov just Troll messed with him. It never come to past since Lobanov (who was under table, trying to plug into socket; emphasis on trying) overheard everything, so Bykov suggested to just send him instead.
* KarmaHoudini: Rimma avoided any punishment for shouting Kupitman (AssholeVictim or not) because he was too ashamed to fill lawsuit and pretended what it was accident.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Kupitman's backstab of Rimma Arnoldowna resulted in him replacing her on position of Head of Venereology... where he slowly become old lonely alcoholic; while Rimma herself now is rich, lives in Germany where she has her own private clinic and even private yacht and personal plane, and can afford plastic surgery and healthy food to maintain young look. She actually here not to punish Kupitman farther (life already did this for her), but to brag about her new position, which she only has thanks to his actions.
* OhCrap: You can literally see how Gleb's drunk joy instantly washes from his face when Semyon bluntly tell him over phone "your mother is pregnant from Bykov; bye".
* OhNoNotAgain: Kupitman's reaction to hearing name "Rimma Arnoldowna" (woman who introduced herself to Phil as "guest from the past") is to scream like a little girl and run like a wind. He reacted this way because she actually shot him once, with a hunting riffle, right in the hospital.
* OutOfFocus: Varya has only minor role in Semyon's and Olga's plot, and otherwise appears only twice.
* RhetoricalQuestionBlunder: When Kupitman asked what he did to deserve all this (meaning Rimma Arnoldowna who returned for vengeance), Phil tell him what he did know what. Kupitman tell Bykov to "remove that intern", because Phil started to irritate him.
* TheStarscream: Back in the days when he was subordinate of Rimma Arnoldowna, he become her most trusted underling and protege... and then betrayed her and even caused her to be fired. Then, he gloated about this to her face. Making her shouting him with a hunting riffle in the ass understandable.
* StunnedSilence:
** After asking Gleb two times for confirmation, Semyon can only react to news about Olga's pregnancy with shocked silence. He's so shocked, he leaves without delivering his own news to Gleb.
** After learning what Rimma Arnolodwna is here not for his head, Kupitman (who previously screamed like a little girl during futile attempt to open the door and run) can only silently let her hug him.
* TooGoodToBeTrue: Bykov correctly suspects what there must be something wrong with Gleb reacting so positively to his mother being pregnant from Bykov. Cue to Gleb (who now knows the truth from Semyon, who, by the way, was actual reason for Gleb's joy) rushing in Kisegach's office, smashing everything on the table, dropping pack of condoms and leaving, all of this without saying a word.
