Olga suggests to Semyon to celebrate the anniversary of their marriage with the hand-maid gifts. Semyon actually proceeds with it, preparing a photo collage... Until Kupitman tells him that only cheapskates do this (and shows a wooden statues of animals one of his patients keeps gifting him). He ignores him at first, but then Phil shows up and tells him about one time when he gifted Olya with a hand-made puppet theatre. After this, Semyon loses any motivation he had left. Kupitman finds Lobanov in bad mood, and tries to help by offering alternate options for a gift. But Lobanov botches them all, and gives up; he just takes one of the wooden statues from Kupitman's office, not knowing that it has a dedication to Kupitman written on it. When accused of lying, Semyon snaps and tells Olga how he struggled to make a gift, only to realise that he's unable to do anything more complex than some crappy photo collage. Unfortunately, Olga prepared a photo collage ''for him'', and now feels insulted. Lobanov makes the last attempt to apologise, and uses Phil's idea to create a crude "puppet theatre", with only one "actor" -- a potato which represents Semyon himself, which states that everything Lobanov did was done out of stupidity and fear to let Olga down. He then reveals his original gift -- his own photo collage. Olga just smiles, and forgives him.

Gleb considers to follow Varya's example and leave the Therapy. After considering -- and rejecting -- several options, he even finds where he wants to work: Functional Diagnostics, where he expects to do next to zero work, with the same salary. But when he actually tries to go there, he learns that he's not the only one to want such easy job, and they have no free vacations -- and wouldn't, in foreseeable future. He then tries, one by one, the other options from the list which he previously rejected, but no one actually accepts him. And when he tries to go back, Bykov refuses to take him back, either. Rita presumes that it was Bykov who set up for Gleb being rejected everywhere. Bykov, when confronted, confirms it and tells that he'd invested so much into Gleb to simply allow him to leave like this. Plus, he can't just let his "favourite enemy" to leave so easily.

Phil must help Kisegach to improve her English skills before international conference in London. He quickly realises that her skills are... less than stellar, to say the least. Phil barely can tolerate her speaking near him, and asks Bykov for advice. Bykov's advice? Just tell her directly! Warn her that her English is hopelessly terrible (she, for whatever reason, considers it to be better than it is), before she would make herself a fool on the conference. Phil attempts to stop the lessons to save his sanity... but for whatever reason he only comes up with something which amounts to "your English arouses me, and we can't continue any further". This still works. Bykov hears that Kisegach now considers her English to be "sexy", and explains to her that Phil just panicked and said to her the first thing he could think of. She confronts him and forces him to say what he really thinks. She reacts adequately to him calling her English terrible... not so much to him coming into details just ''how'' bad it is.

Kisegach accuses Bykov of not loving her due to being "not jealous enough".

Olga suggests to Semyon to celebrate anniversary of their marriage with hand-maid gifts. Semyon actually proceed with it... Until Kupitman tell him what only cheapskates do this (and stated wooden statues of animals one of his patients keeps gifting him). He ignored him at first, but then Phil showed up and tell him about time he gifted Olya with hand-made puppet theatre. After this, Semyon lost any motivation he had left.

Gleb considers to follow Varya's example and leave Therapy. After considering -- and rejecting -- several options, he even found where he want to work: Functional Diagnostics, where he expects to do next to zero work, with same salary.

Phil must help Kisegach to improve her English skills before international conference in London. He quickly realised what her skills are... less than stellar, to say the least. Phil barely can tolerate her speaking near him, and asked Bykov for advice. Bykov's advice? Just tell her so! Warn her what her English is hopelessly terrible (she for whatever reason considers it to be better than it is), before she would make herself a fool on that conference.

Gleb actually tried Functional Diagnostics... only to learn what he is not the first one to try such easy place, and they do not expect a free place... in foreseeable future. He then tried, one by one, other options from his list, only to be rejected every single time. He then tried to ask Bykov to accept him back... only for Bykov to refuse.

Kupitman found Lobanov in bad mood, and tried to help him with alternate options. They tried paintings (specifically Capricorn), But Kupitman recognised it only when Lobanov stated what it was supposed to be; tried plasticine (with Kupitman compared result to children's work... unfavourably); tried origami, which Lobanov destroyed in a fit of rage after several failing attempts; and finally tried poetry, with Lobanov wasting half a hour on finding words rhyming with "Olya" (Kupitman managed to find ''several'').

Phil attempted to stop his lessons with Kisegach to save his sanity... but for whatever reason he only came up with something which amounts to "your English arouses me, and we can't continue any further". This still worked.

Lobanov gave up making a gift by himself and just took one of those wooden statues from Kupitman office. Unfortunately, he forgot to check wether they contain anything important -- and surely, statue he bring home contained dedication... to Kupitman, from original author. When accused of lying, Lobanov snapped and tell Olga how he struggled with gift, only to realise what his maximum is some crappy photo collage. Unfortunately, this was exactly the wrong thing to say, because Olga had a same idea about gift ''for him'', and now feels insulted.

Rita suggested to Gleb what Bykov may stand behind him being rejected from every single department. When confronted, Bykov stated his reason to do so: he invested too much into Gleb to simply allowing him to leave like this; also, he can't just let his "favourite enemy" to leave.

Bykov hears what Kisegach still considers her English to be "sexy", and explains to her what Phil just panicked and said to her the first thing he could think of. She confronted him and forced him to say what he really thinks. She reacted adequately to him calling her English terrible... not so much on him coming into details just ''how''.

Lobanov made a last attempt to apology before Olga -- by creating crude "puppet theatre", with only one "actor" -- potato which represents Lobanov himself, which stated what everyone Semyon did, he did out of stupidity and fear to let Olga down. Then he revealed his original gift -- his own photo collage. After this, Olga smiled and forgave him.

* ChekhovsGun: Those wooden statues from Kupitman's office? It's not just off-hand joke, Lobanov later took one of them and re-gifted to Olga (with disastrous consequences).
* CrazyJealousGuy: Kisegach feels insulted because Bykov is ''not'' one of this; she interpreted his lack of jealousy-induced paranoia as a sign what he stopped loving her.
* CrocodileTears: Gleb used this (he even put eye drops to cause real tears) when his attempt to find new place to work failed, in order to force Bykov into accepting him back; it didn't work, because Bykov had seen right through it, and instantly called him on the real reason: he asked to be accepted back ''because literally everyone else already rejected him'', and Bykov plans to be next one amongst them.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: Gleb wanted to work in a place where you expected to do next to zero work, while receiving same salary as everyone else. Then he found out what he is not the only one LazyBum to try this, and all places in internship are taken for foreseeable future.
* DiggingYourselfDeeper: When confronted about breaking the promise to create hand-made gift for Olga, Lobanov tried to explain what he feared what his only idea (photo collage) was completely horrible. Unfortunately, she had the same idea for a gift ''for him'' (thinking it has much higher sentimental value than its actual quality), and this statement only made her ''more'' angry at him, forcing Semyon to find another way to apology.

He finally sticks with Functional Diagnostics (expecting them to do next to zero work, with the same salary as everyone else).

!! This episode provides examples of:
* BrutalHonesty:
** Bykov suggested right from the start to tell Kisegach what her English is terrible (she for some reason considers it to be better than it is) ''before'' that conference would be better than allow her to make a fool out of herself. However, he formulated his suggestions in [[{{Troll}} rather insulting manner]] (not that Phil listened past initial suggestion).
** When Bykov revealed to Kisegach what Phil just lied to her about her English out of stress, she demanded Phil to tell her truth. Kisegach reacted adequately to Phil calling her English terrible. To him going into details just ''[[SuckinessIsPainful how]]'' terrible it is, not so much.
* TheCynic: Kupitman suggested to Lobanov to just throw out his hand-maid gift for Olya and buy something more expensive, stating what something cheap and crude would never work; he compared it to one of his patients who gifted him with several wood statues, which Kupitman considered to be a trash -- [[TheAlcoholic he would rather receive a bottle of cognac]].
