Kisegach started a relationship with Anton Yaroslavsky. Kupitman finds out that Kisegach changed the vacation's schedule; which is a problem, because every year he rides to one specific place, to one specific woman, and now he can't do this. But Kisegach refuses to listen to him. He cooperates with Bykov (who wants to distract her from Anton) and other doctors to convince Kisegach that she needs to take a break. This backfires, because Kisegach decides to leave for a week... with Yaroslavsky. At least Kupitman wins something good, because she leaves him in charge.

Gleb must hide the fact that Lobanov lives with him from his landlady... because she explicitly forbid him to invite anyone, fearing that they would organise a "drug den" there (and Semyon's not exactly noble-looking face would only strengthen her suspicions). Unfortunately, despite all their attempts, Gleb's landlady is now dead set to kick them out. Phil overhears a part of their discussion, and now thinks that they are a gay couple. This actually helps them, since Phil's timed intervention convinces the landlady (who was ashamed by Phil's calling her out on kicking out that "nice couple") to give them another chance.

Meanwhile, Varya attempts to smuggle a kitten into the hospital. Hiding it becomes progressively harder, as it requires more and more lies to maintain (liker Varya eating cat food), until the kitten pisses on sofa. Varya hides the cat into a box with Bykov's sneakers, and lies that it was her, but Bykov just tells her to admit the truth and preserve what little dignity she has left. She gets punished with two night shifts, but at least she wouldn't be fired.

* BlatantLies: Varya's attempts to hide her new kitten from Bykov results in disaster. Why? Because she attempts to tell him that she bought that cat food ''for herself'', and even attempts to eat it. And that piss on sofa is also her... Bykov takes pity on her, and offers her a chance to just accept that she smuggled in the cat and preserve what's left of her dignity. She still gets punished by two night shifts, of course.

* FaceOfAThug: Gleb's landlady specifically mentions that Semyon looks "like a criminal", which she can tell "by just his snout"; Semyon is more offended by the word "snout" than comparison itself).

Other Doctors play along, even psychiatrist. They comments on it being amoral, but way too funny.

* KindheartedCatLover: Varya attempts to smuggle a homeless kitten into the hospital. Lyuba reacts rather hostile to it, because it is dirty, and because Bykov can potentially fire them both if Varya fails to hide it. Later Bykov finds out anyway when he notices the cat food, and when kitten pisses on his sofa, but agrees to let it slide if Varya leaves with her kitten right now -- and returns to serve two nights shifts.
* MistakenForGay: Phil mistakes Gleb and Semyon for a gay couple. This actually works in their favour, since Phil later confronts their landlady (who was planning to kick them out) about her mistreating that "lovely couple"; feeling awkward, landlady backs down.
* OutOfContextEavesdropping: Phil overhears only the part of Gleb's conversation with Semyon, and now [[MistakenForGay thinks that they are a gay couple]]. There's also Bykov jokingly mentioning that hey are LikeAnOldMarriedCouple, and Gleb (also jokingly) calling Semyon his "loved one", to his irritation.
* TheRival: Yaroslavsky is Bykov's main concurrent for Kisegach's heart (especially since Bykov broke it before). Strangely, Bykov [[RomanticFalseLead doesn't consider him to be a genuine threat]] (he thinks that he is "too awesome" for having any real threat), and it's Kupitman who tries to consider him otherwise.
* RomanticFalseLead: Bykov considers Yaroslavsky being this at best, and that Kisegach would soon forgive Anton and return to him. Though he decides to take some "precautions" anyway, just in case.

* WhatTheHellHero: When Phil (who [[MistakenForGay thinks that Gleb and Semyon are a gay couple]]) learns that Gleb's landlady wants to kick them out of apartment, he sides with them and tell her that she acts cruelly by leaving this "lovely couple" homeless. While Semyon gets enraged by this accusation, Gleb decides to play along, realising that this is their only chance. This works.
