When sitting at Levin's and eating breakfast he prepared, Gleb asks him why he suddenly changed his mind and returned to Moscow. Levin says that he just missed his friends and hometown. Unfortunately, it seems that he wouldn't work here, since Bykov never made an offer, and Levin is too proud to ask for himself. Gleb offers to ask for him. Bykov refuses at first, but Gleb is too annoying to ignore him for long, so he gives up and agrees. Bykov is also interested why Bykov returned. Levin gives him different reason than what he told to Gleb; in USA, there were too many restrictions, social barriers and just annoying bureaucracy (he has no citizenship, after all), but here, he would have more opportunities to become a scientist. Plus, he is a patriot, and wants to help Russian science. Bykov starts suspecting that something not adds up here, but decides to trust him for now. Then Levin notices notices Phil, and rushes to him. He drags him into one of the empty rooms, and starts asking him just when he returned. The thing is, Phil knows real reason why Levin returned; it was not voluntarily -- Levin was deported... for sexual harassment. He can't allow this to become known here, or it will ruin his reputation even in Russia. But then Phil remembers: he was asked to deliver Levin's documents to Kisegach, back from Boston, which he did. Oh shit... Levin starts delicately asking Kisegach around, in attempt to distract her, so he may go close and grab the document right from her table -- which he does. When Bykov appears and it becomes apparent that they would overpower him, Levin just tries to... eat the document. Unfortunately, Bykov is quicker and tears it out of Levin's mouth. When Levin refuses to say why this document is so important, Bykov asks Kisegach to bring up Phil. Instead of doing what he was asked for, Phil starts mumbling something incoherent. Bykov gets angry and presses him into revealing the real information, but Phil starts lying about it, calling Levin "great specialist" and the like. Bykov then points that no recommendation would contain the words "police", "sexual harassment", "arrest" and "deportation". After that, Phil and Levin have to admit the truth. But, instead of becoming even angrier... both Bykov and Kisegach starts laughing over Levin's stupidity. To punish Levin, Bykov would reveal this across the hospital: he can't hide such good laugh from people!

Rita meets her old "friend", Stas. Stas is now divorced (leaving old wife and their child behind), and free to start dating Rita -- so, would she go on a date with him this evening? Rita agrees, but not out of any sympathy towards him -- in fact, she feels nothing but disdain for him, because he dated her, only to marry other woman woman; she wants to give him a taste of his own medicine. Meanwhile, Timur learns about this date from Stas himself (Stas is his patient), and tells Alexei that it's his chance to dump Rita: just accuse her of cheating on him; she's planning to go on a date with another man, and all he has to do is to bust her with Stas. Alexei refuses to believe that Rita can do something like this, but Timur suggest him to try to invite her anywhere and see the result. Alexei indeed tries to invite Rita on a date -- only for her to refuse, stating that she would be busy today. Rita's plan works quite well... right until Alexei shows up and starts accusing her of cheating on him. Stas, thinking that the real plan involved calling Alexei to beat him up, uses them distracting on each other to run away, leaving Alexei and Rita arguing with each other. Rita tries to prove that she merely wanted to teach Stas a lesson, while Lyosha tries to press things further, since he really has a chance to "legitimately" dump Rita for being unfaithful. He tries to leave only when Rita yells on him, after which Rita explains backstory between her and Stas. Also, now Rita thinks that since Alexei was so jealous, it proves that he really loves her.

Gleb meets Phil, who saved his fathers' marriage, and returned. Phil brought a present which he prepared for Gleb and Sophia, but now, it seems, it would be used by Gleb alone. In attempt to dissuade Gleb from continuing drowning his sorrows with alcohol, Phil suggests to let it out; by talking about what he feels, and let all tears out, Gleb would feel better. And Phil is ready to hear him out! But Gleb angrily refuses. Phil starts provoking Gleb by reminding about his past with Sophia. He intends to cause him to burst all negativity out of himself, to achieve catharsis. Gleb stubbornly refuses, and when Phil becomes just too annoying, threatens to hit him in the face it he wouldn't shut up. To show Gleb why he needs to not hide his feelings inside, Phil reveals how his attempt to introduce Katia to USA went. To his surprise, the story about his homophobic girlfriend cheating on him with a lesbian actually makes Gleb laugh, instead of crying. It's... still something, right?..

!! This episode provides examples of:
* AlcoholInducedIdiocy: Just after being accused of sexual harassment (out of misunderstanding), Levin got drunk and broke into the girl's apartments, to "apologise". This time, he didn't get away with it and was deported.
* TheBusCameBack: Phil returns from the USA.
* ClosetKey: Phil's old girlfriend, Jess, seduced Katia, who used to be rather homophobic.
* CultureClash: All it took Levin to be accused of sexual harassment are two ill-thought compliments and one wink (to which most likely no one would react back in Russia). He was deported not for that, however, but for what he did afterwards, in attempt to "apologise".
* DrowningMySorrows: Despite Bykov's efforts, Gleb continues killing his sorrows with alcohol even now, including when on-duty, but at least in smaller doses (he uses flask to store booze), so he remains sane enough to work.
* GoneHorriblyRight: Phil wanted to cure Katia's homophobia. As result of visiting USA, Katia became a lesbian herself... and cheated on Phil with old girlfriend, Jerkass Jess.
-->Gleb: Wait... So, you went to the USA with Katia to cure her homophobia... and she became lesbian? And cheated on you with your ex-girlfriend?
* INeedAFreakingDrink: After telling Gleb a story how Katia cheated on him (with his ex-girlfriend, no less), Phil needs some booze himself.
* Jerkass: Stas used to date Rita for a whole year, promising her great future together... right until he married someone else (whom he likely dated at the same time), and disappeared for years. Now he is divorced (still paying aliments to his ex-wife for their child), and now free to date Rita again, as his "plan B". Rita, naturally, is less than amused by him showing up again, and wants to teach him a lesson.
* MistakenForCheating: Lyuba knows what Rita goes on a date with Stas only to ATasteOfTheirOwnMedicine punish him; Timur doesn't, so he rushes to Alexei to inform him about it.
* OhCrap: Levin panicked after he learned what Phil already delivered his documents from Kisegach, since it means she may already know (or soon would) about real reason he returned from USA.
* PersonaNonGrata: Levin is no longer allowed in USA due to "harassing" local woman, leaving him no other option than return in Russia and try to receive place as Bykov's new doctor.
* PutOnABus: Phil broke up with Katia after she cheated on him... with Jess, of all people. Obviously, he wants nothing to do with her ever again.
* ATasteOfTheirOwnMedicine: Rita's plan involves punishing Stas in the same way he offended her years ago. Stas dated Rita, only to marry someone else (which means, he dated at least two girls at once); now she would go on a date with him, only to inform that she would marry Lyosha).
