* FriendToAllChildren: Towards the end of the episode, Will answers the door to find a group of kids singing "Jingle Bells". Turns out, the kids' neighbor was driving them around to look at Christmas lights, and the kids liked the Banks house enough that they wanted to stop and sing Christmas carols there. Will adores the song (even dancing to it) and invites the kids in for Christmas cookies and hot chocolate.

* ShoutOut: The ending has Will looking forward to seeing a commercial for the well-known Norelco shaver where Santa Claus rides on it. To this, Uncle Phil agrees with him and also mentions one of his other favorites is the Budweiser commercial featuring the horses with the furry feet. Then President Reagan admits his favorite commercial is the (non-Christmas related) Chuck Wagon dog food commercials where it drags the food across the kitchen floor.
