* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Sam is arguably the calmest and most gentle member of Richmond F.C., but even he has his limits (such as his restaurant being trashed, with graffiti telling him to just play football). The entire team is taken aback, as is the coaching staff.

** Probably unintentional (due to the episode most likely being filmed before the real life incident) but the “Stop the Boats” refugee issue that real life Home Secretary Suella Braverman had a twitter fight with ex-footballer and Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker seemed incredibly similar to the main issue Simi & Sam were fighting about with the show’s Home Secretary.
