* AndThenWhat: When the boys plan their tooth theft, they only plan as far as planting the tooth and expecting the money to appear before they wake up. It's not until Loogie ''outright asks them'' "you plant the tooth under the bed- then what?" that they realize the parents might not have ''any idea'' about the tooth, and thus realize just how complex the tooth trade actually is.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: comes up a number of times.
** Cartman's mother is outright bankrupted by the sheer volume of teeth she has to give money for, and inadvertently spoils the whole trade when her call to the dentist helps him in SpottingTheThread when she reveals, with otherwise complete casualty, that he's lost over '''''100 teeth''''' in under a month (to the point the dentist outright asks at first if Cartman is an ''alligator'' due to the sheer volume).
** The kids, still being in ''grade school'', were completely unaware the Tooth Fairy wasn't real, and are ''devastated'' to find out.
** The tooth trade is such a complex and long-lasted tradition that Loogie outright calls himself dumb for falling for what he only in hindsight realized was a sting setup, and admitted to being grateful it was finished anyway, wanting to join varsity football in the fall. [[NotSoAboveItAll He may be a ringleader, but he's still a grade school level kid.]]
** To cap it off, Loogie's crew tries to drown Kenny in retaliation for the boys starting their own trade... but being kids, have no idea of how to do so, and drop him into a shallow area he's able to stand in. It's not until the credits that he has to ''walk himself'', albeit unintentionally, to another spot and outright drowns.

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Cartman is so reckless in how much teeth he collected that he inadvertently spoils the whole trade when his mother calls the dentist, asking if it was normal to lose 100 teeth in less than a month. Had he been just a bit more responsible, there wouldn't be as much suspicion.

* DidNotThinkThisThrough. The boys plan to make money by going to a rich kid's house, planting a tooth under his pillow, waiting for the parents to leave money, and taking it without the kid knowing. But then when they are brought to Loogie, he asks them how the parents were supposed to know the kid had a tooth under his pillow. The boys fall silent as they realize they missed this glaring flaw.

* WhoWouldBeStupidEnough: While setting up the sting operation, one of the ADA members voices his doubts that there would be anyone stupid enough to fall for such an obvious set-up (where they stage a human interest story on Billy getting $600 for a bone marrow transplant from the tooth fairy and the reporter ''giving out the address live on tv''). Cue Cartman falling for it.
** Lampshaded by Loogie, who also fell for it, realizing just how dumb he was for walking into an obvious trap.

* TheyKilledKennyAgain: Loogie and his cronies throw Kenny in the river with cement shoes, although the water is not deep enough to drown him at first. He tries hopping to shore only to reach a depression which pulls him under.
