* RedHerring: The first issue gives us two possible causes for the fire. First is Ashe's Burst Wisp friend who could've done it by playing around with him. The grouchy camper in the second issue even accuses the Wisp of starting the fire. And secondly Belle's fire lighter tool in her hand which was still on when the motobug jumped out at her and briefly knocked her out. They both turn out to be misdirections as Ashe reveals later that it was Surge using her lighting powers on dry leaves and sticks to deliberately cause a forest fire.

* GirlsNightOutEpisode: The plot focuses on four of the series' heroines; namely Amy, Tangle, Jewel, and Belle. Whisper and Surge also make minor appearances. Sonic does consider joining them, but he'd already promised to hang out and play videos games with Tails, who holds him to that commitment.

* HeroicBSOD: ''Tangle'' of all characters has one throughout #45 as a result of Whisper leaving the Restoration. Jewel also suffers this trope after the wildfire breaks out, doubting her ability to handle the situation until Amy boosts her confidence.

* EarlyBirdCameo: Kit and Surge appear twice [[SinisterSilhouettes as silhouettes]] in #46, first at the beginning when when Belle reboots and turns back on, and later in a flashback when Ashe reveals the duo caused the fire. This was before Surge and Kit's proper debut in ''Imposter Syndrome''.

With all the craziness of the Metal Virus, mad doctors, and Zeti, Amy, Jewel, Tangle and Belle decide to take a break and go camping to clear their heads. However despite all the smiles and cheers, there's some unseen tension brewing within a few of them. But things turn serious when a forest fire breaks out, threatening their lives and the other campers as well. Putting our heroines on the spot to save the day, while likewise overcoming their personal problems in the process.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Whereas a couple of previous issues showed a bit of physical and emotional/psychological consequences of the [[ZombieApocalypse Zombot Apocalypse]] caused by the Metal Virus (misplaced around the globe and general fatigue, respectively), Issue 45 introduces a serious environmental one. Because the formerly infected plant life didn't absorb enough water during the hydration season, most of the camping area where Amy and her friends are traveling have become too dry. It doesn't take much to start a fire.

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Belle is implied to be the cause of the fire as she has her lighter out when she went to investigate the noise outside and got knocked out by a motobug, with the lighter still on.

** Apparently, Eggman ''still'' [[DidntThinkThisThrough couldn't plan for the long term]] even when he was Mr. Tinker, seeing as a lighter--with which Belle could accidentally roast herself--is among the tools he built into her hands. Sure enough, her hand is burnt when she wakes up after being jumped by the Motobug.

* TheCameo: Big can be seen in the crowd shot when the girls arrive at the campsite, fishing as usual.

* GoodAllAlong: The motobug that surprised Belle. It pulls Belle out of the path of the fire and puts out her hand when it's still burning.

* RedFilterOfDoom: The glow from the forest fire creates this effect in the campground.
* RedRightHand: Belle's right "glove" is burned off in the wildfire, exposing the hand of her metal endoskeleton.

* StepfordSmiler: Tangle, Jewel, and Belle are all trying to hide that they are all in some way pretty miserable during the trip. Tangle is worried about Whisper and upset she left the restoration. Jewel is overwhelmed by work while also feeling that she and Tangle might be drifting apart. Belle is of course still dealing with the truth of her father while also feeling like she doesn't belong with restoration.
